I woke up to a weight on my side. Looking over I saw my little bundle of joy sleeping. Her arms tightly around my waste.

I tried to slide out of bed but she had a tight grip on me. I picked her up and carried her downstairs. Her grip loosened slightly so I laid her on the couch and pulled a blanket over her.

I headed to the kitchenn deciding I was gonna make breakfast.I mixed pancakes, cooked eggs, fried the bacon and even made grits.

I was so consumed in cooking that I didn't even notice Vic, Jaime and Tony come in the kitchen. They were all staring at me with there jaws dropped to the floor.

"Mike, is that you?" Tony asked

I shook my head " Uhhhh yeah.....I think so."

"Ya sure, I'm pretty sure our Mike doesn't cook." Vic chuckled

"Can't cook" Jaime laughed

I flipped them off and started fixing plates. After sitting one in front of Vic, Jaime, and Tony I went to wake Michelle.

I gently shook her "Baby girl wake up. It's time for breakfast."

"I'm not ready for food, I sleep i sleep." she whined rolling over

"Fine i guess you don't want pancakes."

"Pancakes!" screamed as she hopped up and bolted to the kitchen.

I giggled to myself as I walked and took my seat. I started eating and was shocked at how good the food actually was. Maybe i should start cooking more often.

We finished eating and I started to clear the table. Michelle was sitting in the front room watching Teenage Mutan Ninja Turtles with Tony. Jaime was somewhere, only God himself knows where. Vic was sitting on the stool watching me.


"You seem better."

I turned around putting the last plate away "I am better.Much much better."

"Funny how much she's helped you in less than twenty four hours."

I looked into the frontroom where Michelle was sitting "Vic she's my everything. She's my hope."

Vic smiled approving of my answer "Well you have her for the rest of the week. Sam had to work today, plus she needs a break."

I smiled at the thought of spending the whole week with my angel "Wow! Really!"

"Yeah!" Vic smiled whille standing up "I'm going out shopping."

"Me too" Jaime and Tony yelled in unison

"Need anything from the store?" Vic asked while walking towards the door

"Na" I said shaking my head no

"Cookies" Michelle yelled " Lots and lots of cookies."

We all laughed. Vic and the guys headed out the door. I went and sat beside Chelle. She was still watching Ninja Turtles. Damn Turtle for getting her hooked on this shook.

Chelle looked at me with a smile "I love you daddy. I happy i found you."

"I love you too pumpkin" I smilled


Those few words just made my day. With those words she gave me a new refound hope. She made me feel loved and needed once again. Nothing or nobody can ruin this day for me.

I hear the front door fly open and the clicking of hills on the wood floor.

"Michael Christopher Fuentes!" she yelled


I groaned "What Frenchi"

Nobody can ruin my day.....................but her.

Notes

Well I hope you like this chapter. Frenchi was thrown into the story and she's gonna start some drama.

p.s i have nothing against Frenchi but she fits perfectly into the story.
