I threw the ball across the ball to Jaime. He was standing by the bunks and I was stood at the front of the bus. He caught it and threw it back. "Are you busy now?" Jaime asked.
"Am I ever busy?" I asked and threw it back.
"We're going to this big BBQ with loads of cool people," he grinned.
"Why are you so happy?"
"My girlfriend Jessica is in town,"
"So, do I get to meet her?" I asked.
"Of course,"
"Who else is going to be there?" I questioned carefully.
"Some bands. Friends of them, a few family members," he shrugged.
"Kellin Quinn?'
"Not another chick who's in love with a married father," Vic groaned as he walked past.
"No," I laughed.
"Good. Kellin is a friend and I'm not having you splitting him and Katelynne up," Vic said.
"It's on the list,"
"Splitting him and Katelynne up?" Jaime joked.
"Telling him that I prefer his daughter," I rolled my eyes.
"I would have loved to meet your brother," Tony said as he walked into the front lounge.
"He was the coolest guy. He would have loved you guys," I told them and smiled.
"We going?" Mike asked, joining us.
"Yeah," Vic told him.
"Do I look okay?" I asked seriously.
"You look great, Kay'," Mike told me.
"Thanks," I smiled. We walked out of the bus and met the guys from the tech bus. Vic said everyone was only a block away so we walked. I stood in between Jaime and Mike. Tony, Vic, Casey and some of the other techs were behind us. We reached a house and Tony knocked the door. A tall, tattooed man answered and let us in. We walked in the house and through into the garden. I saw groups of people and turned to talk to Jaime. But he wasn't there.
"He's got a better offer," Mike told me and I saw his arms wrapped around a woman. He kissed her and wrapped his arm around her waist.
"That's sweet," I commented.
"Yeah, I guess. She's good for him," he shrugged.
"I think guys need someone like that," I explained.
"Hey!" Jaime called. We looked and saw Jaime calling us over. Mike and I walked to him and Jessica and I smiled.
"Hi," I said.
"Jess, this is Kayleigh. You know Mike," Jaime introduced me.
"Yeah, hey. It's so good to meet you. Jaime told me about you and your brother over our calls. I'm so sorry,"
"Thank you," I nodded. "It's good to meet you. Jaime talks about you a lot,"
"Really?" she asked and leant up to kiss him.
"Looks like Vic is with his lover," Mike laughed and we saw Kellin with his arm around Vic.
"I need to talk to him," I announced.
"About what?"
"His daughter," I said like Mike was stupid."Can you hold the list?" I asked.
"Oh," Mike said and nodded in understanding. I walked over and tapped Vic on the shoulder. He tried to turn around and Kellin turned as well.
"Hey, Kay'," Vic grinned.
"I just met Jaime's girlfriend. She seems so nice,"
"She's awesome," Vic replied.
"Thinking of introducing me any time soon?" Kellin asked.
"Yeah," Vic laughed. "This is Kayleigh. Kay', this is Kellin,"
"Oh, you're the girl with the list," Kellin said.
"Wow, everyone knows," I laughed.
"I think it's cool what you're doing," he said.
"You're on the list," I explained.
"I am?" Kellin said and Vic grinned.
"I just wanted to say that my brother and I really liked your music,"
"I'm glad,"
"But you're not our favourite,"
"Oh," he frowned.
"We're team Copeland. We prefer her," I said seriously.
"I can't really argue. I prefer her too. She's so much more talented that me," Kellin replied seriously.
"Better voice," I played along.
"And better hair," Vic reasoned.
"And she isn't going bald," Kellin said, causing Vic to glare at him. I grinned and turned around. Mike looked at me and I gave him the thumbs up. He got the list out and grabbed a pen. Then I saw him tick something off.
