Tony looked down at the list and back to me. I raised an eyebrow and he laughed. "What?" I asked.
"I'm just confused about this one," he replied.
"Oh, when Ryan was sick I read him the books and we watched the films. We never did go to a convention though," I explained.
"Okay, this isn't my thing. If it were Star Wars I'd be all over it," he told me. "Vic! Where's Mike?!" Tony called.
"He went for food!" Vic yelled back.
"I'm here," Mike said as he walked through the door. "What's up?"
"Kay' has a task from her list. I think it'd be your thing," Tony said.
"What is it?" Mike questioned.
"Harry Potter convention," I explained.
"You like Harry Potter?" he asked quietly.
"Yes. I'm a huge nerd and Potterhead," I told him and bit my lip.
"Why am I only just finding this out?!" he exclaimed.
"Erm . . . Sorry," I tried.
"Check this out," he grinned and sat next to me. He showed me his palm and I looked closely. He had the Deathly Hallows symbol tattooed on it.
"Wow," I gasped.
"It hurt like a bitch, but so worth it," he explained.
"What about the ones on your thighs?" Tony urged.
"Okay, if I take off my pants will you not file for sexual assault?"
"I promise," I laughed. Mike pulled down his pants and I looked at his thighs. On one was a portrait of Harry Potter and on the other was a Swag Hedwig. "These are awesome," I said and Mike beamed back to me.
"We have today off, right?" Mike asked Tony.
"Yeah, we have bus call at ten though,"
"We're going out, Kay'," Mike told me.
"Where?" I asked and stood up.
"Come on," he urged. I shrugged and followed him off of the bus. We walked a few blocks and Mike started grinning. I laughed and he nudged me.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked.
"So maybe you didn't know but here they have this huge HP convention,"
"You have tickets?" I asked excitedly.
"No," he replied and my face fell. "But a friend of mine used to work here before he got fired for punching an asshole in the face,"
"Right," I nodded, confused.
"Before he left he bust the back door. And I happen to know it's still bust,"
"We're going to sneak in?" I asked, already knowing.
"Now you're getting it," he smiled.
“Isn’t that illegal?”
“You broke into a building, I think you can handle it,” Mike laughed. “Just wish I had my robes,”
“You have robes?” I asked.
“Fuck, yes. They’re at home though. We should buy you some,” he thought.
“Who would I be?” I asked as we walked around the building.
“Definately a Gryffindor,”
“That psyco girl with the curly hair?”
“Yes! The one who wants to be Harry’s whore. If you curled your hair and got a robe that would be so hot,” Mike grinned.
“Kind of worried but kind of happy in a nerdy way,”
“Understandable,” he nodded. We stopped at the busted door and Mike opened it for me. I walked through and he led me down a empty corridor. I could hear noise and music as we neared a door. But round a corner a woman appeared.
“Shit,” I breathed.
“What are you doing down here?!” she called and met us.
“Erm . . .” Mike tried. I rolled my eyes.
“This genius wanted an autograph from Dumbledore. So we follow him and then I see Evanna Lynch, except it’s not her. There were a pile of galleons and we thought it was part of the convention. Turns out Dumbledore and Evanna are just fucking with us,” I rushed. Mike looked at me, holding in a smile.
“Okay, well if you can get back, please,”
“Sure,” Mike nodded. We hurried through a door and into the convention hall. “That was cool,” he commented.
“Thanks,” I shrugged and looked around me.
