Stay Away From My Friends
Under A Paper Moon
Natalie changed into a white T-shirt and a black skirt withsuspenders. She slipping into her skeleton tights and into a pair of flats shehad lying around. She grabbed her phone, stepping out and seeing the guys sitting and talking. Jack turned to her and grinned.
“Morning Nat, mind if we see the photos from last night?” He asked.
“Of course not.” She smiled, sitting next to him and grabbing the laptop from the side table. She put in the password and opened the file with the photos of last night. “Feel free to give your opinion on them, just don’t delete any. I have to email Craig his share.” Jack nodded and the guys crowded around to see. Tony sat on the other couch, Moni sitting on his lap and whispering something to him. He drank his beer, nodding his head at whatever she said and she giggled. Natalie walked out of the bus and found the girls talking about a few things. They all looked up at Natalie and Linda grinned.
“Finally have time for us girly?” She asked, crossing her eyes. Natalie giggled and nodded.
“Let’s get a bite to eat, I have a few things to tell you guys.” They all nodded, getting up and walking to the nearest IHOP.
“So what’s the talk about?” Elsie asked as they picked out a booth and they got in.
“I had this sort of dream last night…” Natalie said. She explained to them what she dreamed about and they stayed quiet listening to everything.
“You have feelings for Tony, without a doubt, hands down.” Sammi said, sipping her coffee.
“I’m going to agree with Sammi and say you still have feeling for Tony.” Linda joined in. Natalie sighed, watching as the waitress walked by carrying a tray of food. Natalie prepared her coffee and drank some.
“But what about Austin? Are you not happy with him?” Elsie asked. Natalie shook her head.
“No, of course I’m happy with Austin! I love him, but I don’t know anymore.” Linda watched Nat as she drank her coffee and Sammi spoke up.
“When Moni’s around Tony, how do you feel?” Natalie thought about it for a moment and shrugged.
“My stomach turns, I feel like just getting away from them. Maybe it’s because she’s disgusting.” Natalie answered truthfully. She placed her cup down and sighed. “I love them both. Who am I supposed to choose without hurting the other?” She asked. The girls stayed quiet and a sudden voice spoke out loud.
“Only time will tell.” The girls turned and the waitress stood there, placing a small platter of bread rolls.
“What?” Natalie asked. The waitress looked at her and smiled.
“Something will happen and you will realize who you love more. Of course, one of the two men will get hurt, but he will know that you’re happy and that’s what he will want. Your happiness, even if he won’t be the one to make you as happy.” Natalie watched as she went back to take an order and the girls turned to each other.
“Well, that was…” Sammi trailed off.
“A bit unexpected.” Elsie finished. Natalie sat, staring at her coffee and began thinking. What was going to happen that would make her realize this.
