Tony’s P.O.V
I woke up in a weird place. I was having trouble remembering where I was, who I was with, and why I was there. I looked around the room; I saw an empty pizza box on a coffee table and a flat screen television mounted on the wall directly ahead of me. The memory came rushing back to me like a tidal wave. Dylan’s house, I reminded myself. I came here after my fight with Vic, and then he came over and started another one. I started to get pissed again, but decided that it wasn’t worth it. I was at Dylan’s house. Dylan’s house. I was going to take full advantage of this opportunity.

I sat up and wiped the sleep out of my eyes. As I yawned, still sitting on the couch, I heard footsteps behind me. Dylan sat next to me and tucked her feet under her. “G’morning, Turtle,” She said pleasantly.

I felt my cheeks get hot, and I looked down to obscure my face, which was probably turning red. “Good morning, Dylan. How’d you sleep?”

“As best as I could, considering the fact that I was alone,” She bit her lip and stood up, only to stride away sexily. Was she teasing me? Don’t be stupid, Tony, get that shit out of your head. I tossed my head back and it was supported by the back of the couch. After about five minutes, I had a thought. Well, two can play at that game, Dylan…

I walked into the kitchen to find her there, frowning at the inside of the fridge. “I have nothing to eat in here,” She pouted, bending down to open the fruit drawer at the bottom of the fridge. I walked up closer behind her, and when she stepped back to close the door, her back hit my chest, and she jumped a bit. “Oh my goodness, Tony you scared me!” She exclaimed without turning around.

“Really?” I said, slowly and quietly. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her closer to me.

“Really,” she responded. She gently rested her hands on my wrists and let herself be pulled into me.

I turned her around so that she was facing me, and without much force, pushed her against the fridge, closing the door in the process. I leaned my head down and grazed my lips across hers, and as soon as she moved to make the kiss happen, I whispered across her lips, “Maybe we should go to IHOP then,” and backed away. She was dumbfounded, and looked at me blankly, almost in shock. “I’m going to my car for a sec,” I said, grabbing my keys and walking out to my car to retrieve the overnight bag I kept in my trunk in case of emergencies.

Dylan’s P.O.V
I sat on the couch and stared absentmindedly at the television. Tony saw right through me so easily, and no one had ever done that before. He had this effect on me, where I could play no games with him. It frustrated the hell out of me.

I waited for him to get dressed, as I had been ready before he even woke up. After waiting about 30 minutes for him, I was growing impatient. I was hungry, and I wanted to eat. I made my way down the hall to the bathroom to see what was taking him so long. Knocking on the door, I called out, “Tony? Are you almost ready? I’m starving!” I crossed my arms and waited for a response.

A few seconds later, I was greeted by a shirtless Tony, just like that night at the concert. His hair was still kinda wet from his shower, but it was neatly combed to one side. A thin sheet of mist coated his tattooed body, and I was at a loss for words. Damn, he is so goddamn gorgeous, I thought to myself. “I’m almost done, jeez. Don't whine, you’re too pretty for that. And stop staring.” He winked at me and walked back into the bathroom, closing the door behind him.

Once again, I was at a loss for words. I sighed and walked back into the living room, sitting back on the couch. Five minutes later, Tony emerged from the bathroom, fully clothed this time, with a Dead View snapback resting on his head. “Are you ready?” He asked. I nodded my head, grabbed my keys and my phone, and we walked outside. He insisted on driving, so we got into his car and began our trip to IHOP.

Twenty minutes later, we arrived at our destination. We walked in, and the hostess assigned us to a booth in the middle of the restaurant. We talked and flirted a bit, and after we ate our food we sat there laughing at each other, because at this point we were both too stuffed to even think about moving. Finally, we got up, and Tony left a hundred dollar bill, never asking for the check or change.

When we got back into Tony’s car, he smiled at me and said, “Where to now?”

“Um, can we just go back home?” I suggested, unable to think of any other desirable destination.

“Nah, I have a better idea,” and with that, he started down the road. A few times, I asked him where we were off to, and he just smiled at me and ignored my question, so I gave up. Thirty minutes later, we arrive at a small lake.

“Why are we at this lake?” I looked at him confused, but content with the beauty of the scenery. There were tall trees everywhere, and beautiful flowers around the shore of the lake. It reminded me of fall in New England, despite the warm San Diego sun that was shining down on the water, creating a magical reflection.

“I don’t know, I used to come here when I was younger, and I like it a lot.” He smiled at me again. Damn, that smile…I thought to myself. We both got out of the car and Tony took my hand in his. I grinned up at him and we walked toward the water. I took off my flip flops, and Tony took off his socks and sneakers to stand in the shallow water. “Dylan?” He asked me, breaking the silence that I had grown used to.

“Yes, Tony?” I didn’t take my eyes off the water, but I felt his eyes looking at me.

“Is your phone in your pocket?”

I was confused by the question, but I just looked up at him and said, “No, why…?”

Without hesitation, Tony lifted me off the ground by my waist and threw me into the shallow water. I instantly stood back up, but I was still drenched. I pretended to be upset, but once again, Tony saw through me, and I ended up laughing.

“Tonyyyy,” I said in a sing-songy voice.

“Yeah?” He looked at me, letting out his last few chuckles.

“Come give me a big ol’ huuuggg,” I opened my dripping arms to him, and he started laughing again.

“Hell. No.”

“Pleeaaasssee Tonnyyyy?” I whined like a child, trying to stop my laughs.

“No!” He tried to run away, but I caught up to him, and he fell into the water with me. Now it was his turn to pretend to be mad, but once again, we ended up laughing.

After a few minutes, our laughter died down, and we just sat there looking into each other’s eyes. “Tony,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

“Shh,” he responded, and I obeyed, not knowing what I would have said regardless. He gently placed his hand on my cheek and leaned forward. I met him halfway, and our lips locked together.

Our mouths danced together for what seemed like an eternity, and at this point I was straddling his lap in the shallow water, just as I was back at home on my couch. I had to break away, though. We had to stop now before we got into something we couldn’t finish. I sighed at my realization, and backed away, moving my head away from his.

“Tony, not here…” I said, still whispering.

He looked at me, his eyes full of need. Need. There was no lust anywhere to be found. His eyes told me that he was truly passionate about me, and not just my body. We stood up, soaked from the water, and walked hand in hand back to Tony’s car. We sat on blankets in order to not ruin the seats in Tony’s car, and halfway down the road, I could’ve sworn I heard him whisper something like, “Damn, I’m so lucky.”
