Vic’s P.O.V.
I can’t believe she said yes. I just want see her again. I know Mike’s laughing at me for being so happy about it but right now, I don’t even care.

“I knew she would say yes. I don’t know what you were so worried about.” Mike said laughing at me.

“Just because…now go to bed.”

“Shut up.” Mike lays down and rolls over on his side. He fell asleep pretty quick but I couldn’t sleep hardly at all. I’m too excited to see her. It’s noon when I wake up. Mike is already awake and Jaime and Tony are watching TV in our room. We’re here for a week since our next show is only an hour drive from here. As soon as I open my eyes, I roll over to grab phone. I text Kaylee and tell her goodmorning.

“Woah. Never seen you reach for a phone like that.” Jaime says.

“Oh yeah.” I say sitting up and rubbing my eyes.

“You wanna explain or?”

“That girl he met yesterday, he asked her out and she said yeah.” Mike smirked towards me.

“Vic’s got himself a girl!” Jaime comes and pats me on the back

“She’s not my girl.” I say rolling my eyes. I wish she was, but she’s not.
I hop in the shower and the guys decide we should grab some lunch. We go to this small diner that’s only a few blocks from the hotel. I’m still not too focused on what the guys are talking about. I’m too focused on why Kaylee hasn’t texted me back yet. When we’re on the way back, my phone goes off and I almost drop it from being so nervous. What the hell is wrong with me?

“Hey…sorry I was asleep lol I’m good for whatever time you want.” Kaylee finally texted back.

“It’s her.” I hear Tony say.
I ignore Tony and text her back. We’re going to hang out around 5

Kaylee’s P.O.V.

I wake up around 2 and immediately check my phone. I’ve always done that so Kelsie didn’t think anything of it. She’s been up for hours. She can’t even sleep past noon.

“He texted you.” Kelsie says looking at me.

“You don’t know that.”

“You’re smiling. You don’t smile until you’ve been up for 2 hours and after you smoke.” My cheeks turned red again and I texted Vic back.
He said he can pick me at 5.

“Finally, you’re up.” Konnor walked in the room clearly still pissed off from last night. I rolled my eyes at him and grabbed my pack of cigs. I walked past him pushing his shoulder. He followed close behind me almost stepping on my feet.

“What?” I ask as I sit on the back patio.

“You’re not going out with him. You can text him right back and tell him it’s not happening.”

“Who the fuck do you think you are?” I light my cig and give him a dirty look.

“You know what happened last time you dated someone. No. You’re not gonna go through that again and he’s too old for you. What do you think he wants from you? Exactly. Just no.”

“I know what happened last time. You bring up on a daily fucking basis. You’re acting like I’m 12 or some shit. I’m 19 I can do whatever the hell I want. You don’t know him. You don’t know what he wants.”

“I’m not arguing. You’re not going. End of conversation.” Konnor gets up to walk back inside.

“You’re not dad ya know?” He paused at the sliding glass door and slightly tilted his head to look at me. He didn’t say anything, he just walked back inside. He’s really pissing me off with all this shit. He doesn’t know how to mind his own business. I walk back inside and my uncle’s sitting on the couch with Konnor. Konnor’s still pissed off but my uncle’s trying to calm him down.

“Hey, I’m gonna go out at 5 today. You need me to do anything before I leave?”

“Nope. You’re fine to leave whenever you want.” My uncle smiled at me as Konnor was basically killing me with the looks he was giving.
I go upstairs and Kelsie is still watching some show on Netflix. I know she’ll be badgering me to help me get ready but that won’t be happening. It’s not long before 4 o’clock rolls around which means I need to start getting ready. I grab a blue Vans shirt and black skinny jeans and hop in the shower. I blow dry my hair and start to straighten it when I hear the doorbell ring. Fuck.

Vic’s P.O.V.

We get back to the hotel and the guys are messing with me about Kaylee. They keep telling me not to do anything stupid and that I’m finally gonna get some. Typical guys.

“Since our little Vic is busy tonight, what do you guys wanna do?” Jaime asked everyone.
They decide to just go around the town and explore a little bit. I’m so excited to see her, I can hardly hold in my excitement. I couldn’t even decide what to wear. That’s so unlike me. After about a half hour of thinking, I decide to just go with a tank top and a plain hat. It’s finally time to go get her. I rented a car so I could actually pick her up. She gave me directions to her house so hopefully I’ll be able to get there.

“Be careful. Don’t forget to wrap it.” Mike teased as I walked out the door. I just ignored him and kept on walking.
I found her house in only about 20 minutes. I walk up to the front door and Konnor answered it.

“Go away.” He said as he slammed the door in my face. Did I do something?

“Konnor you fucking prick. I’ll slam your face in the door if you don’t knock it the fuck off.” I heard someone yell. That’s the only reason I stayed honestly. The door opened and it was her sister.

“I’m really sorry. Konnor’s an asshole. You get used to him. Come on in. Kaylee will be down in a minute.” I walk in and I can hear screaming from up the stairs. Kelsie excuses herself and leaves me and a man in the living room.

“Come on in here and sit down. Konnor’s the only ass of the family.” The man said. I thought he was her dad at first but he doesn’t look a whole lot like Kaylee or her siblings. I walk in and introduce myself and sit the chair in front of him.

“Nice to meet you Vic. I’m Tim, their uncle.” He smiled a little. He seemed nice actually. Kaylee came walking down the stairs as soon as he was finished with his sentence. She looked amazing. She had one of those haircuts where it’s supposed to be messy and to top that, she was perfectly fine with just a t-shirt.

“Hi.” I smiled

“Hi.” She blushed. Konnor followed behind her giving me a dirty look. He was clenching his fist as if he was ready to punch someone. “Well we should leave before Konnor pmses his little head off.” Everyone in the room laughed at Kaylee’s joke beside Konnor of course.

“Okay lets go.” I smiled at her and waved bye to everyone.

Kaylee’s P.O.V.

“Kelsie get the fuck down there before Konnor opens that door.” I yell at Kelsie while straightening my hair. She darts down the stairs and I hear her yell at Konnor. As soon as she’s done, I can hear Konnor running up the stairs.

“You shut the door in his face? Are you fucking kidding me?” I say to Konnor as he walks into the bathroom. We start arguing just like we did last night. We’re loud and I know Vic can hear us downstairs. I wouldn’t blame him if he left. I would leave.

“I don’t get what your deal is.” I say as I get the hair play stuff to spike some of my hair up.

“I’m the man of the house now and I say no. That’s that.” He said while crossing his arms and acting like he was god or something.

“Um excuse you? I believe Uncle Tim lives here and you’re not the man of anything. We’re not kids anymore and you’re not even that much older. 10 minutes big deal. You can’t replace dad.” I get quiet at the end, realizing what I said. It was true but Konnor hated whenever someone brought dad up.

“Shut up!” He yelled. He grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and hit me. I was stunned for a second. It’s been years since me and Konnor have gotten into an actual fist fight and I didn’t want that to happen again but I hit him back anyway. He’ll have a black eye from it. All those years of boxing never wore off. I left him in the bathroom completely stunned by what I did and walked down the stairs to Vic. He was sitting in front of my uncle when I came down. I felt Konnor right behind me. We don’t stay longer than 2 minutes before we leave.

“You okay?” Vic asks as we walk to the car.

“Yeah. I’m fine. I don’t wanna talk about it.” I say as I get into the passenger seat.

“Well okay. So where you wanna go?” He changes the subject quick.

“There’s this little diner down the block. I haven’t eaten yet.”

“I was there for lunch!” He laughs putting the car in drive. “They have good food so I’m up for going there again.”

“Sweet.” I smile. We get to the diner and sit at a booth. A waitress walks over. The only one I hate.

“What do you want?” She gives me a dirty look. “Other than attention.”

“A new waitress.” I snap back.

“Whatever.” The waitress looks over at Vic and smiles. “How about you?” she winks at him. He looks at me and he can tell I’m pissed.

“Just a water is fine.” He says.

“I want a pepsi.” I interrupt. She walks away and comes back within seconds with our drinks. She asks for our order and we give it to her as fast as we can and she walks away.

“What’s the deal with her?” Vic asks taking a sip of his water.

“She’s just this girl from high school. We’ve never really gotten along.” I look down at the table.

“She doesn’t seem very nice.” He laughs slightly.

“She isn’t” I laugh. She comes back with our food. After she sets our food on the table, she looks at Vic and leans over him showing her boobs.

“If there’s anything else you want, just come get me.” She says in this sick sexual way and winks at Vic again.

“You’re not my type.” Vic says.I let out the loudest laugh possible at just the way he said it. She walks away shocked and pissed.

“That was great. No one’s ever flat out said that to her.” I’m still laughing.

“Well it’s true, and I’m here with you.” He blushes and smiles at me. “So how old are you anyway?” he asks while taking a bite of his burger.

“Nineteen.” I look down at my chicken wings and start to cut one of them.

“Wow…” He says sounding disappointed in the age difference. “Um…I’m twenty-four.” I don’t why he lies. How can he not know that I know who he is? I sigh after he says his fake age.

“What? Too old for you?” He asks with his face turning red from embarrassment and his eyebrows moving causing him to look completely disappointed and let down.

“Oh..no that’s not it. Um when you’re done, I wanna show you something.” I say with a slight smile. He gives me a confused look but smiles anyway. We talk for at least an hour, barely touching our food. There’s something about him that makes me forget about everything. There’s a lot of people in the diner today, but when I’m talking to him, it’s like it’s only me and him. No one else. We decide to pack our food and leave.

“Where to?” He asks opening my door.

“My house. Konnor’s not supposed to be home so we’ll all good.” I smile big at him. We drive to my house and I lead the way inside. I start to walk up the stairs and he just stands there. “You can come up here ya know?” I laugh.

“Oh right.” He laughs back more laughing at himself than anything. I lead him to my room and open the door.

“You know, you don’t have to lie right?” I say as I walk to my side of my room. He looks around and sees all the band posters and my painted wall. Half the wall is the “With Ears To See” Sleeping With Sirens album cover and the other is “Collide With The Sky” Pierce The Veil album cover. “If I wasn’t interested in you. I mean really who YOU are, I wouldn’t have given you my number in the first place.” He doesn’t say anything after that. I’m starting regret showing him this but I hate when people lie. I get it but still.

“You’re a fan?” He finally asks.

“A pretty big one to be honest.”

“You should have told me.”

“I thought if I told you, you’d walk away. I just let you tell your story and go with it.”

“You’re really not interested in me just because I’m Vic from your favorite band?”

“No. If you want me to prove it to you, I will. Just tell me how.” After I finish my sentence, he stands at the doorway scuffing his feet on the floor.

“Tell me about you. I wanna know who Miss Kaylee is.” He looks up at me and smiles.
