Hail Mary, Forgive Me

Let Love Bleed Red

Tony stayed in his room ever since that night. He only walked out to use the bathroom and when Vic and Mike forced him to eat. Other than that, he never left. He clutched the phone in his hand, he would pray for Natalie to call him back but she never did. He walked to the door of his room, seeing Linda there about to knock.

“Tony, I was going to ask you if you wanted to get a bite to eat across the street with us. Keep your mind off of a couple things and just hang out with us. We miss you.” Tony saw that Linda was being serious and he sighed, nodding.

“Let me shower and get dressed.” Linda moved out of the way, allowing him to grab a towel from the hall closet and get in the shower. Linda sat at the kitchen with the rest and smiled when they gave her questioning looks.

“He said yes.” Vic sighed, relieved that his best friend was coming along.

“We have to get home early though and start packing, our flight leaves tonight and you guys leave tomorrow bright and early.” Elsie said, intertwining her hands with Vic’s. He kissed her cheek and pulled her close.

“I promise, on the next tour, you guys are coming with us.” Vic smiled, at her. Linda smiled at the two and Jaime looked down at her.

“Touring with these girls would be fairly difficult.” He laughed as Linda wrinkled her nose. Sammi sat next to Linda, her hands on her lap as she awkwardly sat next to Mike. Ever since she told them that she was the one behind the tickets, Mike didn’t speak to her. She sighed and got up, going to the fridge and grabbing a can of soda. She opened it, seeing Tony step out of the shower with a towel around his hips. He walked up to her, his hair dripping wet and he sighed.

“I’m sorry I yelled at you.” He whispered. Sammi stood stunned that he had spoken to her. She thought he was pissed at her.

“I forgive you if you can forgive me about the tickets.” Tony looked at her and smiled a bit, barely noticeable. Sammi smiled back and he walked in his room to change. She sat back down and placed the can on the table. Mike grabbed her chin and forced her to look at him. Mike stared at Sammi and he leaned in, kissing her softly. Sammi held his wrist as he pulled back and he smiled at her.

“About time you apologized.” Mike smiled, whispering to her. Sammi smiled back, pulling away and turning when the bedroom door opened.

“Ready?” Tony asked, putting his hat on and stuffing his hands deep in his sweater pockets. The rest got up, putting their coats on and walking out the door. They got on the elevator and pressed the lobby button. The elevator slowed to a stop on Natalie’s floor and Tony tensed up, afraid he would see her. The doors opened and Danny looked in, seeing everyone standing there. He had a cardboard box in his arms and he stepped in, ignoring everyone. Tony let out short breaths, trying to compose himself as the elevator stopped again at the lobby. The doors opened and Danny walked outside of the condo, not once saying a word.

“He’s angry.” Jaime sighed.

“And you wouldn’t?” Mike asked. Tony stayed quiet, behind them. They walked out of the building and saw Danny putting the cardboard box in a storage truck. The group walked passed and went to a small restaurant down the street. Danny watched as they left and he sighed. Natalie got out of the elevator, walking to Danny with another box.

“Last one.” Natalie smiled. Danny put it in the truck and sighed.

“On the brighter side, they put everything in storage for us.” Natalie laughed; nodding and seeing a car pull up. The car parked behind Natalie’s car and turned off. Austin got off and smiled at the two.

“Ready?” He asked. Natalie and Danny nodded and they placed the entire luggage in the trunk. Danny got in the car with Austin and Natalie closed the storage truck, locking at and smiled at it. She had packed everything from her apartment so when she would come back, she would have everything still here. She gave Austin a thumbs up as she got in her car and pulled out first, having Austin follow behind.

“Where is Natalie’s car going to stay during the tour?” Danny asked as Austin stopped at a red light behind Natalie.

“In my garage in my house. We’re going there after we leave you and then off with the band to catch a flight over to London.” Danny nodded and leaned back into the seat. Austin looked at him and back at the road as the light turned green. “I’ll watch over her, don’t worry about it. She’ll be in good hands.” Danny nodded and saw the airport ahead.

“I forgot how close we are to the airport we are.” Austin chuckled and followed behind Natalie, going up the ramp to the airport. They parked in the departure part and Natalie got off her car, waiting for the two. Danny stepped off followed by Austin who helped him with his luggage. Austin patted his back and Natalie smiled at him.

“Bye little sis.” Danny looked at her. Natalie looked down and wiped a few tears away.

“Bye big bro.” She whispered. Danny pulled her into a hug and she returned it, holding him tightly. Danny kissed her cheek and pulled away, wiping her tears with his shirt sleeve.

“It’ll be fine. I’ll be in New York, and you’ll be a huge photographer. I believe in you Nat.” Natalie smiled, kissing his cheek and he said goodbye one last time before going inside the airport. Austin walked to Natalie as she watched her brother disappear inside.

“I promised him that I would watch over you, and I will.” Natalie looked up at Austin and he smiled at her.

“Come on; let’s get you to back to my place so we can leave tomorrow.”

Tony walked out of the condo early the next morning, yawning as he watched the roadies put all their things away. The tour bus was set and ready to go. He watched the guys get on and he stood looking at the condo one last time. He got on the bus and sat with the guys as it pulled away.

“So, this is it?” Vic asked, drinking a beer.

“Yep, back to a normal life of touring.” Mike smiled, passing a beer to Jaime and Tony.

“I missed it.” Tony smiled, drinking his.

“Ready to move on?” Jaime asked Tony. He shook his head and leaned back, closing his eyes.

“Yeah, I love her, but if she’s happy without me, than fine.” The bus was quiet and Tony looked through his phone, deleting the photos he took with Natalie and everything else that reminded him of her. “I’m starting over.”
