Natalie took the next few days off. The owner of the café had let Natalie know that she was closing the place; she had lost the café after she couldn’t pay it anymore. Natalie stayed in Mat’s place while he worked and tried to get Ryland a job in the lobby with him. Natalie went through voicemail after voicemail that Tony had left.

‘Baby? Please answer the phone so we can talk.’
‘Natalie, babe, I love you so much answer the phone.’
‘Natalie I want to hear your voice again. Please answer.’
‘A simple hello would be enough.’

Natalie deleted them all, knowing her phone was going to be full again soon. Natalie stayed in the room, texting her brother about how she was going to stay with him for the last few days he had there. Natalie sent the message, watching The Little Mermaid when her phone rang. She looked at the number, not recognizing it. She answered, praying that it wasn’t Tony.

“Hello?” She answered.

‘Natalie? It’s Austin Carlile.’ Natalie face palmed and looked around. She had forgotten about his offer.

“Oh yeah, hey Austin.” Austin chuckled on the other side and he ran a hand through his hair.

‘I don’t mean to push you, especially after all that happened, but did you think about the offer I gave you?’ Austin asked, clearing his throat. Natalie stayed silent and sighed.

“Listen, this is an amazing opportunity; don’t get me wrong. An opportunity like this is once in a lifetime. But, I don’t know.” Austin stayed quiet and sighed.

‘Listen angel, after what happened with Tony, you can’t be there. It won’t be healthy for you. Even if he is going on tour soon.’ Natalie nodded and stayed quiet for a few moments.

“Alright.”

‘Alright?’ Austin repeated.

“I’ll go on the tour with you guys.” Austin grinned and nodded.

‘Great! We’ll be back in Cali in a few days, start packing you clothes and other things and I’ll pick you up on Sunday. Our flight leaves on Monday night to London.’ Natalie agreed and they hung up. She got up, changing her clothes and leaving the lobby. She walked out of the condo safely and walked to the hotel a few blocks away to talk to Danny about her new job. She took the short flight of stairs to the second floor and looked around for Danny’s room.

“Nat?” Natalie turned, seeing Danny come out of a room she had passed.

“Hey, I came over to visit.” She smiled softly at him. Danny smiled back, having her come in and see his luggage on the couch.

“Sorry about that, I’m leaving a few days early, the hospital called saying their going crazy with patients asking for me.” Natalie sat next to the luggage and nodded.

“It’s cool, I actually came over to tell you that I got laid off.” Danny sat across from her and listened. “The owner of the café lost it, so everyone got laid off.” Danny sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He thought for a minute before he grinned.

“You can come back to New York! You can stay at my place, we can find a job for you in photography like dad and you can go far!” Danny excitedly said, moving to kneel in front of Natalie. She smiled at him and wrapped her arms around his neck.

“I accepted the offer Austin gave me.” She whispered. Danny tensed up and pulled away.

“You’re going on tour with a band? After what happened? Natalie I don’t think-“

“I’m not going to get caught up in relationships anymore. Not right now at least. I’m going for work. Like dad always said, opportunities come and go; you just have to choose the one you want to take.” Danny smiled, hugging her tightly and pulled away.

“Let’s get you packing.” He smiled, pulling away.

Sorry about the supposed update yesterday. I feel asleep and well, I never updated. But on the bright side, WE MOVED UP!
