Oh My God This Is Paradise
Vic's P.O.V.
The venue tonight, looked like an old theatre turned concert hall, the place was so small but felt so huge.In the center of it all was a girl, her hair flowed to right bellow her shoulders , long beautiful brown curls going every which way they could, with a beanie to hold it all together.I wouldn't say she was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen, but she was singing, one of my songs, in the most melancholy way.She accented every note perfectly, and she was strumming on my guitar as she sang.Kellin turned around "That's the girl I was talking about. She's amazing right?"He said in a low whisper so no one else heard us.The rest of my band and Tonight Alive stood in shock as well."I wanna sing with her." I said out loud not meaning to. "Quit drooling." My brother Mike said with a sly smirk. "I am not drooling, if anyone around here was drooling it be Justin over there!"He turned around and winked. "Well, watch this. Kellin call her when she's done singing I'm sure Lizzie is around here somewhere." Kellin laughed along with the rest of his band, jack slightly laughed, and Jesse patted me on the back.Gabe stood there like the rest of us, they must have been here before Gabe joined.The song finished and the girl looked down and saw us finally.
"ANNA!" Kellin yelled, the girl's eyes lit up as she locked onto Justin.From above us we heard a muffled sound of another girl, and the stomp of feet running above us.She jumped off the stage, she looked like one of us jumping into the crowd to surf. She ran up to Justin and hugged him tight. The other girl a blondie with gauges as big as Tony's hugged Kellin.When the girl finally let go of the overly happy Justin she turned to face all of us.Jaime was the first to step forward and say something. He introduced himself, and she smiled at him with an unneeded self introduction. Damn up close she's even prettier. I said I liked blondes but I'm gonna have to go with the brunette this time. Her friend Lizzie practically jumped on her back and looked around at us all. "Don't let her fool you, she already knows who all of you are." She looked me right in the eyes. "Especially you!"Anna's eyes got huge. She said something and then turned around to walk away but I stopped her.Somehow later it escalated to her even singing with me.I was so caught up in the moment that as we started to leave I asked her for her number and kissed her, on the forehead, unfortunately, cause god I wanted to kiss her so bad.
On the way back to our hotel I couldn't stop thinking about her. Her voice, her hair, her height, she was the perfect height for me, just a bit shorter than me.I didn't realize I was smiling so much until Tony smacked my arm. "Dude were you like mentally undressing her or something, cause I've said your name like three times now and you keep looking at your phone with smirk on your face and it's kinda... no really creepy."I looked down at the text messages. Then back to Tony. "Sorry dude. She's just really, I don't know, interesting to me."Kellin for some reason decided to ride in our car to the hotel."She's never gonna fall for you."He said in a harsh tone.I felt a little hurt at the words that came out of my friends mouth. I looked at him weird and then he corrected himself. "What I mean is, that she swore to herself a long time ago that she would never, EVER, ever, date a band boy.I don't know why, but Justin found that out the hard way a year ago. Anyway you can try but the odds aren't in your favor..."
"Well thanks for the support buddy, But, who even said I liked her anyway!?!She's just a girl I find interesting."
"That means you like her Vic." Jaime leaned on my shoulder from my left. "Awe is my big brother falling in love?" Mike said form the driver's seat. "Pay attention to the road dumbass!" I yelled at him, it was strange, I was actually sounding like some five year old kid that thought girls had cooties... Why can't admit I like her. "Hey LoverBoy, we're at the hotel so can you put the phone away for five seconds and have a drink with us?" Mike turned around towards me. "Uh yea..." I texted her one last time before shutting it off for the night.
Anna's P.O.V.
"Hey the boys are hounding me to stop texting you, they want me to go drink with them, and when I'm drunk i get pretty weird. So to be on the safe side I'm gonna shut my phone off, so I don't text any old ex's or anyone, right now, so yea I'll text ya later babe."
"Awwwwwwww He called you babe!" Lizzie yelled out as she had discreetly read the text message over my shoulder. I glared at her from the side. "You know my philosophy with dating band guys." I said looking her straight in the eyes. "You don't." she said sarcastically.
"Exactly, and that is how I am going to keep it! Besides I don't have time for a boyfriend, especially one who travels, all the time." Lizzie's eyes wandered to my wall with all the signed band posters and CD covers. "We've met so many people, celebrities, and fans, guys who hit on you non-stop. AND YOU STILL WONT FIND A BOYFRIEND!" She screamed loud enough for the whole town to hear."HEY YOU TWO SHUT UP! THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE IN THIS PLACE TRYING TO SLEEP!" My aunt's room was just down the hall, I and Lizzie shared a room and my mother was across the hall from us. My mother slipped in my room Quietly so that her sister didn't reprimand her for getting out of bed. "Now, now Lizzie she is just waiting for the perfect boy." My mother smirked with a gentle giggle. She sat on my bed and leaned on my shoulder."Soon this will all be over and you can go wherever you want to baby girl." She kissed my head and stood up, she wobbled but i caught her. "Mom don't talk like that!You know it scares me, you need some sleep and so do we, we've got a big day tomorrow, with lots of fangirls involved." She laughed and then started coughing."Hey Anna I'm gonna take a shower alright?" Lizzie said over the coughing. "Yea, but can you help me get her to her room first?" She grabbed my mother's other arm and we practically dragged her to the room.Lizzie left and my mom took my hand. She looked at me with light in her eyes."Anna trust me, I want to quit the treatments."I stopped breathing for a second."WHAT!?!" I screamed. "Hush now! We'll talk some more later but it's not your decision.Get some sleep, I shouldn't have mentioned this tonight, but I can't think of a better time.I haven't seen you smile like that in six years.I won't decide on anything tonight I promise you that but we'll talk in a few days at my next doctor's appointment."I sat there starring at my mother.Had the pain become too much? Am I making it worse by freaking out? No, wait I already lost my dad, and now she wants to leave me too? What the hell? I got up and walked away without a word. "I love you Anna." She said as she drifted to sleep. I closed her door.Walked into mine. And cried. I cried until Lizzie got out of the shower, as soon as she walked into the room I let it all out, everything my mom had just told me.She stood shocked and kneeled down next to me."Maybe it's best for her..." I looked up from the ground my shirt soaked from tears."You still have me, your best friend, right here, and I'll be there with you until you or I take our last breaths."She cried with me until we fell asleep.
Let's just say morning was hell for everyone, I had a headache from crying, the boys had hangovers, and the only one felling any better than us was my mom, which was weird.She was up and walking around without 20 layers of clothing, and she was humming to herself as she swept off the stage."Mom?" She looked down at me and gleefully smiled at me. "You're looking beautiful today Ms. Olivia!"Vic called from behind me."Why thank you Mr. Fuentes, but that's not gonna convince me that I should let you date my daughter." With that the whole room bursted into laughter, I and Vic's faces a shade of crimson. She wiped off her forehead, with the back of her hand, and i realized how much she was sweating. "Mom you should sit down you don't look so good I'll finish up.Lizzie go get her a glass of water."She started leaning on the broom for support so i climbed the sage followed by Vic and Jaime."We got her, just tell us where she should go."She laughed a little. "What's funny mom?"
"I can't even sweep a small area of a room without almost dying, how in the hell am I supposed to take care of you?" She almost started crying before she could Vic interrupted by whispering something in her ear.I couldn't hear, but she smiled so I didn't ask. "Mom you don't have to worry I am 19 years old, I can take care of myself."
