*Tony’s POV*

“Why the fuck are you dressed like that?” I said adjusting my tie.

“I could ask you the same question,” Jaime began. “But…I won’t,” he chuckled, stirring away at his mixture. He turned to me. “No, seriously, are you going to a funeral or something?”

“No, idiot,” I said fluffing out my shoulders. “I’m going to Prom.”

“I didn’t know you went back to school,” he laughed uncontrollably, almost spilling his bowl over the counter. He adjusted his hand on the wooden spoon and began mixing.

“Enough with the jokes, Jaime,” I said biting down on my lip, trying to refrain myself from laughing. “So you gonna tell me why you’re dressed like you’re about to host a cooking show?”

He gave me a disgusted look. “I’m only wearing an apron.”

“And a chef’s hat,” I mumbled under my breath.

“Whatever,” Jaime blushed. “So I’m happy you’ve decided to go to Copeland’s Prom. She really wanted you to go.”

“I know. I felt terrible. And I thought about what you said.”

“Really?” he beamed, placing his wooden spoon in the bowl. “I’m delighted you took my advice. That's a first.”

“Only reason I took it was because you were right. I didn’t want to go because I thought everyone would give me dirty looks. But then I realized something. I’m not going there because of everyone else…I’m going there for Copeland. To dance with her. To make her feel special. To make her feel hella good, you know?”

“Yeah, I do know,” he smiled walking over to me. He straightened my tie. “Ok, now when you get in there, you make sure your posture is straight. Don’t be nervous and try not to-”

“I know what the hell I gotta do, Hime.”

“Ok ok ok! I’m just excited for you, that’s all. You told me that you’ve always wanted to go but you never did. This is your big chance.”

“Yeah I’m a little nervous,” I said, exhaling deeply.

“You’ll be just fine. Now get outta here! You got someone very special waiting for you.” He shook my hand and led me out of the bus.

I hopped in the car. “So what exactly are you making in there? It smells so good,” I said before backing out of the street.

He placed his hand on the car. “Pies.”

“You’re making pies?” He nodded. “What for? No one is home. Mike and Vic aren’t going to be back until late and I highly doubt that you‘re going to eat all of them alone.”

“It’s a little surprise for Copeland when she gets back home,” he laughed. “Make sure when you leave Prom, don’t necessarily drop her at her house. Bring her to that small shack that we always go to when we wanna drink.”

“Is there an explanation behind that?” I asked, shooting him a mysterious look.

“Oh yeah. I just hope she takes it as a joke. It’s suppose to be funny but if she bitches at me for it, I’m done for.”

“Well, what is it?! I’m driving away if you don’t tell me.”

“Then drive away. It’s a surprise and I can’t risk you telling her. So have fun at Prom and don’t come home too late,” he winked. “I have a trick up my sleeve. And I bet this is going to be the highlight of the night. Not going to Prom. But this is going to be so fucking awesome!” I nodded and started backing away. “And don’t forget, the little shack that we go to! Bring her there and you come too! Have fun at Prom!”

*Jaime‘s POV*

God, he’s so stupid. He didn’t even bother asking what I’m doing with so many pies. I mean he did but he didn’t go into depth of asking me. Oh well.

This is honestly going to be so much fun. I’m having her parents, all of Sleeping with Sirens, all of Of Mice and Men, and all of Pierce the Veil come into this shack with me. I already let them in on what I’m going to do and they all think it’s a great idea! Even Austin said it was brilliant and he wanted to be the one to do it. But I said no because it should be me to do it.

She has no clue on what’s going on and neither does Tony. Tony has a clue but doesn’t know shit yet. But like I said. This is going to be fucking epic! This is going to be MY highlight of the night!
