Love Like A Tidal Wave.

Epilogue.

Kimberly was found by Vic, who tried everything to save her. The ambulance came quickly, but it was no use, she was already gone. Vic, obviously completely heartbroken, made the phone call to Taylor and the others, including Kim’s family. They all got to say their last goodbyes at the hospital. Everyone was heartbroken. A very bright light in all of their lives had just gone out. Forever.

The funeral was amazing; so many people came and paid their respects. Vic had given Kim the ring he was going to propose to her with and it now resided on her finger forever.

The night she had died, he slept in her room, on her side of the bed, being that the bed still smelled of her and he never wanted to let that smell go. He decided he would look for something; anything that he could keep that reminded him of her. He looked under her bed, finding her diary – with many entries including him, her suicide note, and a box of memories that only included things from her and Vic’s relationship. He kept that box, he still has it now, actually, and it will stay with him forever.

He visits her grave every time he comes home from tour, he chats away to her as if she was right next to him. He’s healing, and taking his time to do so, which is very natural. He hasn’t found a girlfriend yet, and isn’t really looking either, but when the time comes, they will know of Kimberly and the amazing person she was.

The band was doing well, they had their “Collide with the Sky” album released, many of Vic’s songs being based around Kimberly, and some of the things she’d written in her diary. Hold on Till May and A Match into Water was mainly based on her though. He would sometimes get the feeling that she was right there with him when he performed the songs, which gave him immense comfort and peace of mind. He knew she was happy, she was where she belonged. He was just sad that where she belonged couldn’t be here, and that it would be quite a long time until he seen her again, but he understood. He understood completely.

Mike and Tony both had girlfriends; Mike actually had a mini him ready to pop out any moment. It was exciting, Vic was going to be an uncle and Mike was going to be a daddy.

Jaime and Taylor got married, and have their second child on the way. They have a little girl, called Kimberly Helena Preciado. Taylor wanted to name her girl after her best friend, and her mother – who was also like Taylor’s mother, as she was never very close with her own. Taylor did in fact whine about not being beautiful enough on her wedding day, to which she chuckled, mentally picturing Kimberly scolding her for even thinking such a thing.

Taylor didn’t have a maid of honour, as she didn’t see the reason to. She didn’t see the reason to when the one person she wanted it to be, was no longer here. But she knew Kim was watching over her the whole time, completely ecstatic for her. And she was happy too.

She had her days where all she wanted was her best friend, but she did will with coping. She knew this was what Kim wanted. And she wasn’t going to over think it; it would have happened sooner or later, and sadly, she knew that. She believed everyone did.

And as for Kim, well, she is happier than ever, getting to watch the people she loves lead happy lives and also gets to be with her mum.
