Jaime and Jess had two days left in Fiji and when they returned Jaime would be heading to Canada for a month to tour. Another band that had a tour booked was Anonymous, Is That Greek? Erica and her band had been the confirmed support for a tour with Man Overboard and The Story So Far. They would be touring around America for a month and half tearing up venues with their pop punk sound. To say that the trio was excited would be the biggest understatement of the year.

Ellipsis had been out for two weeks and the fans for Erica’s band seemed to love it, they couldn’t wait to hear the songs live. The first song to be released from the album was The Brightest Star and Erica was so pumped to play it live, to show her baby brother that she was back to her happy self and that he was still a huge part of her life.

Erica and Mike were both packing for their tours; Erica leaves 3 days after Mike does. Erica was insanely stoked because she would be touring with two of her favourite bands plus her and the twins have an awesome bus. Erica had bought a double decker bus and revamped the whole thing. She had always wanted to get an old school-type bus and add in beds and fairy lights etc. and go on a road trip so that’s exactly what she did for their tour bus just on a much larger scale. She had taken it to an expert and they had turned it into a house on wheels pretty much. There was a kitchen, bathroom, upstairs there was a bunk and lounge areas and a smaller lounge downstairs. They couldn’t wait to travel the country in it. The PTV boys had seen it and were fairly jealous of their friends’ accommodation.

“I want to swap buses” Mike said as he put the last of his things in a suitcase.

“Not happening, sweetie” Erica replied while looking through her closet for a few sweatshirts.

“It’s not fair, our first tour we were in a van and then you go out in a fucking party bus” He was like a kid that couldn’t get his way.

“Well I have the money to go out in a party bus. I could have got a van for the sake of starting at the bottom but why bother when we can live in style?” She answered as she emerged from the closet with three crewnecks.

“Fair enough but you’re not allowed to have too much fun without me” Mike joked as he grabbed Erica by the waist and pulled her onto his lap.

“I’ll try not to” She kissed him on the nose “Now let me finish packing please” He let go and within 15 minutes she was done.


Erica was picking Jess and Jaime up from the airport and she was so excited. She hadn’t seen her two best friends in two weeks and she couldn’t wait to see them. When she got there it wasn’t too long before she heard “PUMPKIN” being shouted through the sea of people, she knew it was Jaime immediately.

She ran to meet him half way and was pulled into a tight embrace. “Oh my god, I’ve missed you so much” Jaime breathed into Erica’s hair before letting go. “I missed you too” She pulled Jess into a hug and repeated her greetings.

“How was the honeymoon?” Erica asked as the three of the headed for Erica’s car.

Jaime and Jess looked at each other, smiled widely and replied at the same time “Amazing” Erica giggled a little.

“We have to find a way to repay you and Mike. It was so perfect there E, seriously. I almost didn’t want to come back” Jaime gushed.

“You don’t need to pay us back, it was a wedding gift silly. I’m just glad you guys enjoyed yourselves and I’m glad you did come back; I don’t know what I’d do without you” She said as they pulled up to Starbucks; the three of them needed some caffeine. Erica was taking them back to their place and they would all be at Vic’s the day after for dinner before everyone sets off on end of year tours.

“Well I’m paying for your coffee at least” Jaime insisted and Erica accepted his offer, knowing if she didn’t he wouldn’t stop.



“Hey Vic” Erica greeted the host for this evening as she entered his home and handing him a bottle of whiskey, typical Erica.

“Hey you” He pulled her into a short hug and they both made their way to the kitchen where Mike was already stood making some food for dinner.

“I see you’ve managed to train Mike since he moved in” Vic joked.

“Well if cooking was left to me neither of us would be here today” They all laughed knowing that Erica can cook about 5 dishes at the most.

“Is it weird not having him live here?” She questioned the brother of her boyfriend.

“It is, I’ve lived with him my whole life and it’s just odd. I always expect to walk into the living room and see him watching cartoons with a beer in his hand or something, or walk past his room and smell weed but I don’t and it’s really weird” Vic didn’t look sad that Mike and him no longer lived together but it was like he was still getting used to it, that might take a while.

“Well you get to have him back for a month on the bus so it’s not like you’ll never live together again, in a sense” Erica thought. Living together on a tour bus was a lot different than sharing a house though.

“Yeah, I can’t wait to wake him up really early when he’s all hung over and shit” Vic teased and excused himself to use the bathroom.

“I love how you two talk as if I’m not here”

“Oh shit Mike hey didn’t see you there” Erica joked but had a serious look on her face.

“Bitch” Mike called as he through a roll of kitchen towel at her. “You know it” Erica winked and walked out into the garden to see that Mal and Casey were already here; soon after the rest of both bands turned up, along with Vic and Mike’s parents.

“How many times did you fuck on the beach?” Mike asked Jess and Jaime through a mouth full of Taco, Erica slapped him on the arm and he playfully smiled at her.

“Always asking the important questions aren’t you Michael?” Jess retorted.

“Always” Mike had finally finished his mouthful. “So… How many times?”

“Three” Jaime said and moved away from Jess slightly knowing that he would probably get hit for telling everyone that.

“Nice one” Mike fist bumped Jaime and continued eating his food.

“Such men” Jess muttered and everybody laughed.

Dinner went by quite fast, it always did when the guys were having fun but it always seemed to go faster when they would be leaving in a day. Everyone was gutted but they knew it wouldn’t be a long tour, for either band. Pierce the Veil had given Anonymous, Is That Greek? Some advice for the touring life and each of the trio took it on board. They wanted to make their first tour one to remember and they had a feeling it was going to be one of the best times of their lives, hell they knew it would be the time of their lives.



Saturday approached faster than anyone thought it would, the days leading up to PTV leaving were a bit of a blur since they went by so fast.

“Call me every day” Mike demanded Erica. “Of course I will” She replied. They were stood in each other’s arms as the rest of the band loaded up. Mike, for once, was ready and prepared first. Vic had made a comment about that to Erica too. Mike was usually late for everything.

“Call me as soon as you get on your bus, and as soon as you reach your first venue, and as soon as you’re about to go on stage” Mike was kept going on and on about Erica calling him, you could tell he was missing her already.

“I promise I will” She kissed his nose “Remember if I’m not allowed too much fun without you, the same goes for you mister” She pointed a finger at him as if to accuse him already.

“Would I ever?” Mike replied sarcastically. “Seriously though, just go out on that stage, have fun, do everyone proud and kick fucking ass” Mike was so proud of Erica

“Right back at you stud” She kissed him one final time and he left her arms and hopped on the bus.


3 days later practically the same thing happened. This time though it was Jess telling Erica to go and have fun and to call her all the time before she jumped onto what the threesome had dubbed ‘The Party Bus’. As soon as Erica’s band and crew sat on the bus it finally sunk in, they were now officially on their first ever tour. They were heading to the first venue and would be sharing a stage with The Story So Far and Man Overboard. WOW.

“This is going to be so much fucking fun” Erica cheered as her and the twins took a shot. Mind you it was 7am. Erica made a phone call to Mike to let him know she had got on the bus and everything was starting. He was already in Canada and had played one show too. The conversation wasn’t too long and wasn’t too short but when she hung up she couldn’t help but miss him more. She decided to take a nap and went upstairs and jumped into the bunk that she called shotgun on.

It was Anonymous’ first tour so they were going to be relying a lot on their tour manager, who was actually a really nice guy. When they reached the first venue they had a few hours before sound check and in that time they would be meeting the other bands. Their tour manager Frankie talked through with them the plan for the day a while before they arrived so when they got there they had some idea of what was going on. They loaded all their gear into the venue and headed for catering, where they would meet the other two bands.

“Hey guys, you made it” Zac from Man Overboard called out as the threesome and their TM
walked in. Erica had met Zac once before when they were planning the tour and was glad that there was a friendly face, even though she knew who everyone was, as a fan.

“Yeah, we would have got here earlier but there was a crash so traffic was bad” Erica said while making her way over to one of the couches.

“Oh that’s cool, you’re just in time for lunch so it’s all good” Zac reassured.

Everyone shook hands and introduced themselves and from first impressions there was going to be a lot of new friendships formed on this tour. Lunch was easy and comfortable, Erica thought it would be awkward and draining but she felt like she had known these guys for years.

It was soon time for Anonymous’ sound check and they hooked up all their gear and got to it. Parker from TSSF and Zac from MO had both come along to check out their opening act and were definitely impressed. They had both listened to Anonymous before, Zac asked for them to be on the tour personally but to actually see them live, even just in sound check made him proud of his decision. Erica was slightly nervous knowing that two of her favourite artists were watching her but that was something she would have to get used to.

When they were through with sound check Erica walked over to the pair of singers that were stood in the middle of the venue.

“What do you think?” She asked with a smile before taking a gulp of her water.

“Perfect, you’re going to knock them dead.” Zac replied first

“If you don’t get a shit load of new fans after coming to these shows then the world is more fucked up than I thought” Parker joked.

“Aw, you guys” Erica mocked trying to hide the blush that was forming on her cheeks. “I’ve got to make a phone call, see you later” Erica smiled at them again and skipped off in the direction of her bus. She couldn’t wait to text Mike and Jaime to tell them how well everything was going.

“Dude, they’re so good. I only heard their first single before today but I think they’re going to be huge one day” Parker confessed to Zac before he went on his way to set up for his own sound check.

“I agree man. She did a cover of one of our songs on youtube and it was so sick so when I found out she was in a band and had just made a record I felt like they needed to be on this tour. I think I made the right decision too” Parker nodded in agreement and the pair went their separate ways.

This really was going to be a fun tour.
