Chapter Thirty-Three
It was about 1 in the afternoon and Mike and Erica had been roaming around the site for a few hours. They had said hello to a few other band members and Erica was introduced to a few people whom she may have internally fangirled at meeting. Mike adored the way that she tried to contain her exhilaration when meeting them, he could see her scream on the inside even if the actual band member couldn’t.
They made their way back to the bus because Erica wanted noodles for lunch and catering didn’t have anything, luckily the boys had some ramen on the bus.
When they opened the door to the bus the remaining three members of the band were setting up to have an interview with Bryan Stars. Erica loved his interviews. “Hey guys, you’re back”
“Yep, I wanted oodles of noodles” both Mike and Erica laughed at that.
“Why do you always say that; when you talk about noodles?” Tony asked
“Because it’s fun to say” Erica had no other reason.
“This is Bryan by the way, Bryan this is Erica” Vic introduced the pair “Big fan” Erica said shaking his hand.
“Now time for noodles” Mike made his way over to the kitchen and made them both a bowl of noodles and returned in next to no time. Mike sat on the couch while Erica sat between his legs on the floor. They were on the couch opposite the guys that were about to be interviewed. Erica placed a cushion on her head and Mike placed his bowl of noodles on top of it, leaning over slightly so he didn’t spill any down Erica’s back.
“You two are so fucking weird” Vic said as he snapped a picture of the pair to share on his instagram.
They don’t get much weirder than these two was his caption.
The continued to eat their lunch like that while Jaime, Vic and Tony did the interview. Every now and then a comment would be made about the couple and the camera would occasionally turn to them.
Mike finally joined his fellow band members and Erica decided she wanted to do Bryan’s job.
“Wait, I want to be Bryan for a bit. Bryan can be the fifth member of Pierce The Veil” She was like a kid.
Erica asked some of the questions that Bryan had prepared and the rest of the interview was full of laughs.
“Erica are you going to be performing with the guys later today?” Bryan asked.
“No, I don’t like them that much” She joked “Nah haha, it’s more than likely going to happen” She said and all the boys agreed with her.
It was time for the band to hit the stage and make their fans day. They played the majority of the set and the crowd were going insane. It was one of their best shows of the tour to date, home town shows always were though.
Mike played the first drum beat of Kiss Me Again and Vic began singing as Erica walked on to the stage and picked up her designated microphone. They sang the song with so much energy and passion. Mike and Erica did, as they always do, the drum-kiss-flip but this time the kiss was longer than usual and they couldn’t help but laugh when they pulled away.
When they song was finished the crowd roared with cheers and claps. Before Erica had a chance to leave Vic called her back over to him.
“Hey Erica, before you go we have a surprise for you” He said with an evil grin on his face.
“You know I hate surprises” She responded as she hugged him sideways.
Vic started to talk to the crowd after having called Mike out the front to join them. “So as some of you know today is Erica and Mike’s one year anniversary” He started and the crowd sent a wave of aws at the couple who were holding hands. Mike kissed her temple and Vic carried on talking.
“So, we know that most people outside of the relationship don’t give presents but we got you guys one. Stay here and don’t turn around” He demanded and they did as they were told and waved at some of the fans in the first couple of rows.
While they were facing forward Casey and Jess had made their way onto the stage carrying a big cake and the crowd began to laugh but Vic told them to be quiet or they’ll ruin it. Mike and Erica couldn’t hold in their laughs.
“Okay you guys can turn around” Vic said and they did exactly that, standing sideways so the audience could see what was going on. The pair looked at the cake and laughed with the guys. “Happy anniversary guys” The band, along with Casey and Jess shouted and before the couple could say anything the cake was put in their face. They screamed and started a small cake fight on stage. It was quite a comical scene. The cake was taken away and the gang had one of the many photographers on sight take a picture of them all together. Mike returned to his drums, after wiping as much cake off him as he could Erica helped by licking the side of his face, she then walked to the side of stage. Nobody could stop laughing about it. They finished the set and were soon back on the bus.
“Shotgun the shower first” Erica shouted as she ran on the bus ahead of the boys. “I’m joining” Mike added.
“NO FUCKING ON THE BUS” Jaime called through the bus as he finally made it on. “If it happens it happens” Erica said popping her head in the front lounge before running back to the bathroom. “You’re gross E” He shot back “Like you’ve never had sex before now shut up and let me shower” She ended the conversation and shut the bathroom door hopping in the shower that Mike had already taken a place in. It was a tight fit but they made it work. They did in fact have sex in the shower too, mainly to piss Jaime off.
When the pair emerged from the back, all washed and sexed up everyone was mocking what they heard from the bathroom. “Okay guys, we didn’t hit replay gosh. I mean we can if you want us too, since you all seem so interested in our sex life” Erica joked as she poured herself a whiskey and coke. “Please don’t” Vic said “I’d rather not hear my brother having sex all the time. I swear you too are like sex addicts, need to go get some medicine for that or something” he joked
“Victor brother” Mike started as he placed a hand on Vic’s shoulder “You’re just jealous because you’re not getting any” He teased and got off the couch and pulled out a box of nerds from the cupboard.
They spent a little while on the bus before heading out to watch a few bands play before heading to a barbeque/party that night. Everyone on the tour was invited no matter whether or not they knew each other. It was such a fun night; full of booze, drinking games, dancing, good music and great company. Erica and Jess were staying on the bus tonight since the tour was staying in San Diego for another day. The PTV boys had a day off on the second SD date though which meant the gang could hang out all day. Well not Erica, she was getting the final vocals for secret record recorded so she could surprise the guys when they come home. She was so excited and so was the mystery guest vocalist. He happened to be on the tour and Erica had spoken to him to arrange times for recording and neither of them could wait. Tomorrow is going to be a fun day.
