It was Monday afternoon. This meant that the boys from Pierce The Veil were about to head back to San Diego for 2 weeks. Erica was going to miss them like crazy. They were going to miss her like crazy. But a few of them had something up their sleeves.
They were sat in the waiting area of the airport. Jaime and Tony were engrossed in conversation and Vic had his headphones on trying to take a nap on the floor. Mike and Erica was sat holding each other as if they would never see one another again.
“I’m going to miss you” Mike said, followed by a kiss to Erica’s cheek.
“I’m going to miss you too” Erica responded and pecked Mike on the cheek also.
“You’ll see me soon though. I promise” Erica continued. They were about to kiss again when the speaker called all passengers for the flight to San Diego. “Group hug” Jaime shouted. He was quite a fan of these.
“Okay guys, you’re about to crack my ribs, let me breathe” Erica breathed out as the boys lets go of her. She went around the boys giving them a hug and a kiss on the cheek each. “See you soon Pumpkin” Jaime said into the crook of Erica’s neck while they were hugging. “See you soon Pumpkin” Erica repeated.
“Come here you” Mike smirked at Erica and before she could say anything he smashed his lips into hers. They were stood there passionately kissing for a matter of minutes before they were practically pulled apart by the rest of the band. “Bye you guys. See you soon” Erica said fighting back the tears that threatened to stream down her face. They all waved at her and said goodbye again before walking through the gates.

6 days later it was Sunday in San Diego. The four PTV boys were sat in Mama and Papa Fuentes’ backyard preparing for barbeque Sunday. “Hey guys, I’ve got to go take care of something” Vic said as he looked down at his phone “I’ll be back in about an hour” The boys grunted and got up to play some football with Jaime in goal. “Mama, I’m going now, be back soon” Vic said to his mother who was preparing Sunday lunch in the kitchen. He kissed her on the cheek and left the house. Mama F knew all about what Vic was up to. She had helped him plan it.
About 20 minutes later he had made it to the airport. He went over to arrivals and stood patiently as he waited for a certain English little lady. “VICTOR!!” Erica shouted through the airport as soon as she saw him. “ERICA” Vic shouted at an equal volume. They ran into a hug from each other causing people around them to look some to smile and some to laugh. It was quite a funny scene.
“OMG, who knew you, could miss someone so much? It’s only been 6 blooming days” She laughed pulling away from the hug. “I know, I know. The boys are going to be so stoked when they see you. Especially Mike, he has missed you like crazy loads” He giggled pulling her into another hug.
After collecting Erica’s bags they made their way to Vic’s car. The drive back to the Fuentes household was filled with chatter about everything that the pair had been up to and everything that Erica had planned for the next couple of days too.
They soon arrived back to Mama and Papa F’s. Vic parked in the driveway and turned the engine off. “Ready?” He asked Erica with an excited tone. “Ready” Erica answered with a nod of her head a smile sprawled across her face.
“Okay, wait in here while I got to the garden” Vic said pointing the kitchen as he walked through the door onto the patio. “Hey I’m back. Mike, I got a text from Erica saying that she wanted you to call her. Apparently you haven’t been answering your phone or something?”
Obviously that was all part of their plan and Erica’s phone was on silent so Mike didn’t suspect anything. “Hey you” She said as she picked up her phone.
“Hey you” Mike replied. “Vic said you were trying to get hold of me, I haven’t had any missed calls” Mike sounded a little confused.
“I know, he was lying I just wanted you to call me”
“How would he know he you wanted me to call you if he didn’t get a text?” Mike was even more confused. He always has been a little slow.
“Well if I told you that you’re a fool for wearing a beanie in this heat, would you understand?” She giggled in to the phone
“How do you know I’m wearing a beanie?” Mike really was slow
“OMG, how slow are you Michael?” Erica asked as she walked through the patio door and took his hat off his head.
“WHAT? OMG WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?” He jumped up and pulled her into a hug immediately tailed by a big kiss on the lips. He showed just how much he had missed her with that kiss. She got the message. “GROUP HUG” Erica shouted causing the remaining 3 musicians to huddle around the two of them.
When settled down Erica was introduced to Mike and Vic’s parents. They adored her and the feeling was mutual. They were so sweet and she just couldn’t stop smiling and laughing while talking to them.
“I can’t believe you’re here” Mike gushed. “How long are you staying for?” He asked.
“Until you guys come back to record. Vic and I had planned it a couple of days after I got time off work. Mind you at the time I didn’t realise you would be coming back with me haha” She was so happy right now and everyone could see it. “Who else knew you were coming?”
“Just Vic, your parents and me” Erica replied with a slight chuckle.
“Wait, you guys knew?” Mike was shocked at his parent’s involvement in this. “Yes we were” Victor said “And we’re glad we were, she’s such a sweet little thing” Continued Vivian. “Oh you guys” Erica mocked.
The rest of the evening was filled with good food and stories, mostly ones that involved embarrassing Mike for Erica’s pleasure. At around 10pm everyone decided to part ways and go home. Erica had helped Vivian with the dishes and was saying good bye when Mike came in and picked her up fireman style. He kissed his parents on the cheek and took Erica to Vic’s car. “You’re all mine now. Muahaha” He joked. He patted her bum and put her back down so she could get in to the back of the car.
They were soon at Vic and Mike’s house. They all got out, Mike helped Erica with her suitcases but couldn’t help but stop to kiss her every chance he got. When they made it in to the house Vic was sat on the couch talking to someone on the phone. Mike and Erica both mouthed goodnight to him and made their way to Mike’s bedroom.
As soon as they made it into Mike’s room, the door was locked behind them. They both dropped the suitcases on the floor and Mike turned Erica around kissing her roughly. He picked her up by her butt and leaned her against the door, his lips travelling from her lips to her jawline, down to her neck. He found her soft spot almost immediately. He sucked and kissed this spot for a few minutes before returning to her lips. Mike carried Erica over to the bed and placed her down gently. He took his shirt off and she followed suit. Mike hovered over her kissing her neck and letting his hands roam her body “I’ve missed you so much E” Mike whispered between kisses. “I’ve missed you too” Erica moaned out as Mike was now rubbing Erica through her undies. Erica got up and pulled off her skirt and straddled Mike who had mirrored Erica’s actions, by taking off his pants. Mike unhooked Erica’s bra and threw it on the floor. His hands went to her waist while hers were now caressing her breasts. Mike was hardening beneath Erica and she could feel it. He soon flipped them over so Erica’s back was on the bed again. With one swift movement her panties joined her bra on the floor. Mike was too hungry to mess around with foreplay so he entered Erica suddenly, causing them both to let out a moan. “I need to tell you something” Erica said, sounding quite serious, as the two of them caught their breath.
“What is it?” Mike noticed the sound in Erica’s voice and sat up concerned.
“Remember when I said I’d tell you why we didn’t need to use contraception?” Mike nodded, looking puzzled and concerned. “Well, it’s not something I’ve ever told someone before. But I can’t have children. Like my womb and stuff are all fucked up from battling with eating disorders and I never got over it. When I was 17 I found out that I couldn’t have children. I don’t mind though because I’ve never wanted children. Never have so I’m glad this happened to me rather than someone that has always wanted children. You know?” Erica looked over to Mike; she tried to read his expression but couldn’t work out what it is.
“Oh, okay” He said rather emotionless. He didn’t really know how to react to something like this.
“I just thought I should be honest with you. I have no idea where this is going but if it is going somewhere you should know right? Because what if we got really serious and you wanted children but I couldn’t give them to you or want to even if I could.” She was quiet when talking. This is the first time in 6 years, since finding out that she has told another person. She didn’t even write this down in her journal.
“Yeah that makes sense. But luckily for you, I never really wanted children either. I’ve always felt that I’m not really the father type that and the fact that children don’t exactly fit my lifestyle.” He let out a smile to reassure Erica that this wasn’t going to be a problem. She smiled back and felt a great weight had been lifted off her shoulders. “Thank you”
“For what?” Mike asked while wrapping his arms around her body. “For understanding and not getting mad at me or anything”
“Why would I get mad at you for something like that? Besides I’m the first person you told which means you trust me and I appreciate that so much” He kissed her lightly on the lips. “We can talk about this more at another time if you want? I can see you falling asleep haha” He pulled her closer to him and she nodded to acknowledge his suggestion. “I think Jaime is bringing Jess over tomorrow so you guys can finally meet, so we need you to have some energy for them” He chuckled kissing her shoulder before leaning over to turn the lamp off. Before they knew both of them were asleep entwined in to one another.
