Vic POV
I drove over to Riverside where Iris lived. I had never been in this part of California before, even though it was only an hour and a half away. It was not too shabby of a place, some of the houses were nicer than others. I ended up driving for a while till I found the area she was living in. I have to try all the keys on my keyring in the door I was really not sure what key it was. I turn on the lights in this open space, I see a living room, a dining room and a kitchen. It was a nice place, small but nice. I had to find my way around her house, I had no clue where I was going. I finally found her room, I layed down on her bed and embraced the sheets and pillows. I go to her closet and pick out some clothes for Iris. I also put in the hoodie I was wearing, just incase she wanted to feel closer to me.
I will only get to see her once this week and the day I pick her up next week. I have two weeks to myself and the rest of the guys, I hope I just don't screw up. Again.
I check out every room before I leave, just so I know what the place looks like. I had to get to the hospital before the visiting hours were over. It was already 2 in the afternoon. I made sure to lock the door before I left, don't need anyone to break into her house while she is gone.
I drive away from the house, I drive the downtown area, it looks like a good place to live. Not too many people, but enough.
The drive felt very short as I arrived at the hospital.
I walk into the hospital it definitely was a hospital, it had a hospital.
I get smiles from the secretaries and many question like what can I help you with and how can I help you. I say "I am here to drop of clothes for Iris Folding,"
One of the ladies shoves me off to a man he brings me back to an office. "Mr Trell" I read on his desk plaque
that checked everything I brought. The did not allow things like shoe laces or dental floss. The man then proceeded to check me, he was a bit touchy but I don't want to talk about that. He motions me to sit down in one of the chairs by the desk. " I am Dr Trell and who did you come to visit today?" The Dr asks.
"Iris Folding, also known as Dr Iris." I spit the words out like no other. I was excited to see her but I knew I had to leave sooner or later.
"Ah yes alright I will make a call for her and if you don't mind me asking who is she to you?"
"She is my girlfriend." "and my world," I say under my breath. The man calls someone on the phone. I can only hear his end of the conversation.
"Hello this is Dr Trell, Iris Folding has a visitor," a few seconds go by while he is nodding and replying yes and hmm.
"Alright thank you." He hangs up the phone with no emotion, "She is on her way right now," I nod and thank the man. I walk out the other door, Iris was nowhere to be seen. I turn back around to see if I went the right way. I feel someone jump on my back I knew it was Iris. "Vic!" Iris's voice sounds happy.
"Iris!" I let her off my back and give her the best hug.
