I woke up with Mike by my side in the small hospital bed, I tried to move but there was pain everywhere. Mike tried to roll over but there was no space, I laughed and his eyes fluttered open, I flashed him a smile before looking down again.
“Cassidy, I-“
“Save it, please” I cut him off, he got up off the bed and clicked his back. I leaned over and pushed the help button, within seconds a male doctor came in.
“Good morning Ms Jenkins, I’m doctor McNair, but you can call me doctor Micky; which is what most people do.”
“Hi,” I said flashing him a small smile,
“Excuse me uh…” Doctor Micky said motioning over to Mike
“Mike,” Mike said as he stood up,
“Can you please give us some privacy? Just while I go over some confidential information with Ms Jenkins here,” Mike looked over to me and I nodded, at that he headed out the door closing it behind him. The doctor moved towards the end of my bed, “you did this to yourself?” He said motioning over to my arms, torso and legs; I could feel tears starting to rise and fall as the escaped from my eyes.
“Yes,” I mumbled,
“Why would you do such a stupid thing?” He asked
“I don’t know, I guess stupid girls do stupid things,” I snapped back, at this point I was angry, I was pissed off. Why would I do such a stupid thing? “When can I leave?” I asked folding my arms, wincing at the pain,
“I can sign for you to leave now but-“
“Good,” I cut him off, “can you bring my boyfriend back in” I said still not looking up at him.
“Um, okay. I’ll just go get the papers for you to fill before you leave,” he walked towards the door taking one last look at me, a second later Mike walked into the room.
“Hey,” he said smiling as he walked over to me,
“Help me out please,” I said as I held my arms out for him, he did as so “where are my clothes?”
“I got Vic to take them home last night when he left here,” he said as he walked towards the chair he was on earlier
“Why?” I asked, ugh dumb question
“Because they were bloody Cass!” He snapped, I stood there stunned “I-I’m sorry” he said bowing his head “here, Vic brought these in also…” he said as he handed me a pair of clothes and some ug boots.
“Thanks,” I mumbled as I tore off the hospital gown, I looked down at my body which had butterfly stiches over my cuts to help them heal quicker; I let out a big sigh as I pulled the jumper over my head then the track pants. I stood there staring at Mike who was staring at me, he walked towards me and pulled me into a hug; I reluctantly hugged him back. The doctor walked back in with the forms, I signed them then put on my slippers.
“I texted Vic, he’ll be here soon.” Mike said as he walked out the front door pulling a packet of Pall Mall cigarettes from his pocket, I watched him light it and inhale the smoke. He looked over to me and saw me looking, he held his arms open for me to come; I did as so and wrapped my arms around his torso.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered, I said nothing but only listened to his heartbeat. Soon enough Vic arrived, he ran out of the car and pulled me into a gentle yet rough hug; he kissed my forehead and got back into the car, Mike and I sat in the back. Once back at the house I went straight to my room, by myself. I grabbed the laptop and opened twitter, instagram, tumblr, facebook... everything; and deactivated them all. I put the laptop away and grabbed my phone and uninstalled all the apps I use besides snapchat and some photo apps, I plugged my earphones in and turned up recreant – Chelsea grin as loud as I could, closing my eyes letting a tear fall I mouthed the words

At the end of the song I opened my eyes and say Mike sitting beside me, “hey…” He muttered as he scooted closer to me, “can we talk?” I nodded, not really too sure what to expect, “I didn’t mean to react the way I did yesterday”
“Really Michael really? Because it seemed like you did,” I said as I rolled my eyes like a twelve year old brat,
“I’m trying to apologize,” he yelled but not in an angry tone, more like in a sad tone “when I was a teenager, the girl I was in love with and vice versa she died… and when you told me that you love me, I just couldn’t take that in. Lucy, her name was Lucy; she was the only girl in the world besides mum who could tell me she loved me and I was the only guy to tell her that I loved her. It was just all too much for me, I’m sorry” he kept his head down the whole time he spoke, I saw a tear fall and I lifted his face and wiped away his tears.
“I’m sorry too” I said before he completely broke down, I pulled him into me cradling him; I winced at the pain as my skin made contact with his body. I shushed him and petted his hair as I sat there with him in my arms, crying. He pulled away from my grip and kissed me “for the record, I do love you; I don’t want you to think that I don’t” he said as he buried his head into my neck.
“And I love you too,” I said as I petted his hair, almost half an hour later Casey, Jaime and Tony came running into the room
“GET READY GUYS!” Tony yelled,
“GUESS WHAT’S GOING DOWN AT 3PM TODAY?!” Jaime yelled and jumped around like a little girl
“What?” I giggled as Mike removed his head from my neck
“WE’RE ALL GOING TO GO GET BURRITOS FROM TACO BELL!” Casey screamed
“sí burritos para el almuerzo y para la cena” Vic said in a Mexican accent as he burst in the room from behind the boys,
“Vic what are you wearing?” Mike laughed
“OUR HERRITAGE!” He sang at the top of his lungs “we’re leaving in an hour okay bye!” he said as he hurried everyone out of the room
I laughed and stood up off the bed walking towards the full length mirror, “are you up for it?” Mike asked as he stretched out his whole body on the bed,
“I need a shower,” I said as I turned around,
“No” he said as he walked towards the bathroom, I followed him in and saw him turn on the hot water tap for the bath “I’m going to bathe you,” he said as he cupped my face “now strip down for daddy,” he whispered in my ear
“Michael that’s disgusting,” I laughed as I kicked off my slippers and slid down my track pants and took off my jumper; I looked over at Mike who was adjusting the water.
“Do you want bubbles?” He asked looking back at me with the silliest grin on his face, I shook my head and laughed at him as I wrapped a towel around my body “why not?” He pouted
“Because it’ll hurt too much, is it ready?” I asked eager to get in. He’s never bathed me before, so I was quite looking forward to this, he nodded and I dropped the towel and put my left foot in first then my right. I grabbed Mike’s hand as I began to sit down; I winced as the water hit my cuts,
“You’re okay, I’m here” he said helping me sit down. After Mike had washed me and washed my hair he had added bubbles without my permission,
“Really Mike?” I giggled as I grabbed a handful of bubbles and threw them at him, he just laughed and threw some back at me.
“WE’RE LEAVING IN TWENTY MINUTES!” Casey said as he barged into the bedroom,
“Okay!” Mike and I shouted from the bathroom, Mike helped me out and helped me get dressed into some covered clothing; I left my hair down all natural and applied no makeup. Mike quickly changed clothes and then we headed out to where everyone was waiting for us,
“Cool, we can leave early” Jaime said as he grabbed the car keys.

When we arrived at taco bell we ordered 14 burritos, so that’s two each. I took my time eating since I wasn’t that hungry, but the boys ate like a zombie apocalypse was about to happen. I let my right hand fall to my side as my left hand kept my head up, Mike grabbed my hand and squeezed it tightly; I looked over at him and pecked his lips.
“I love you,” he said with a mouthful of burrito
“AND THERE IT IS!” Vic screamed “MY BROTHER’S IN LOVE!”
I looked over to Vic and gave him the look “I love you too,” I replied back to Mike
“Eat, please” he said, swallowing his food before he spoke; I smiled as I took a bite of my burrito.
