I was apparently more tired than I thought, cause when I woke up it was nearly noon, but my hand was still locked in Sydney's. What I would give for all this to be a dream, or even for me to be lying there so my beautifull Sydney would be okay. I sat myself up so that I could see her face better, it was actual torture looking at the mess she had become, it shouldn't be like this.

The door made a loud noise as it opened, taking me out of my daydream. It was Syd's doctor, with his clipboard with all her notes on. "Afternoon Tony, how are you this morning, I just came to update you on Sydney's condition."
I just smiled at him and let him continue.
"Sydney has suffered from severe internal injuries and therefore being in this coma is actually doing her a favour because if she was awake she would be in serious pain, so think of it as a good thing, okay. Right i'm just going to update her notes and remember she can hear you so keep talking to her. i'll see you later."
I continued to smile at him as he wrote something on her sheet and left out of the sqeaky door, and realised what he had said, and it made me slightly happier, she isn't in so much pain. But she can hear me, I feel stupid but i'll try it anyway.

"Syd, Jaime, Mike and Vic will be down soon. I've made the mistake of asking Jaime to grab some of my clothes, so i'm glad you're not going to be able to see the state i'm gonna look." I tired hard to laugh but just felt the tears start to run down my cheek, I quickly swatted them away and smiled. "I love you, turtle" I squeezed her hand. And right on cue, the guys showed up, I tried to rub my eyes without making it obvious. Mike walked up and put his hand on my shoulder.
"How you doin' bro?" And grabbed a chair to sit beside me. Jaime and Vic sat on chairs opposite us. I looked at Mike and repeated to them all what the doctor had come and told me a while ago. Jaime handed me a bag, full of stuff.I looked inside and it turns out Jaime can be pretty decent in the clothes designer department and I wasn't going to be walking around looking like a loon. He had also packed a small stereo with some of Syd's cd's which consisted of Black Veil Brides, Sleeping With Sirens, All Time Low and of course her fave, her Pierce The Veil cd's, which apparently was Vic's idea.
"Well we don't want her bored when we aren't here, it will be like we're here all the time." Vic smiled as he was pushing Syd's fringe from her face, which was quite matted with the blood from her head.
I stood up and my legs felt numb and I shook them about a bit. I started unpacking all the stuff Jaime had brung for Sydney.
"I'm not planning on leaving her." I said quietly in reply to Vic. He just looked at me.
"Dude, you have to, you're going to need real sleep, and we have shows, you said yourself that you don't want to let anybody down. Besides what good are you going to be tp her when she wakes up if you're a zombie, huh?" And pouted at me, as much as it pains me to say it, he was right, our next show was tomorrow night. I put the little black stero on her beside table and put Collide With The Sky album on for her, quietly for us to all rock out to.


THE NEXT DAY:

We all turned up to visit Sydney together before leaving for tonight's show. Vic brung his guitar with him cause he had some sort of idea. We all sat around her as usual, taking it in turns to kiss her.
"Hey, Syd. Thought we could come and sing you a song." Vic whispered and started playing the chord for Hold On Till May.
I held on to her hand, Mike had the other and Jaime just rested his hand on her stomach. We all sung along just staring at her. Little did I know till I looked around that I wasn't the only one who was fighting back tears right now.
When Vic got to 'darlin' you'll be okay' the tears just fell out of our eyes, but like a pro Vic kept singing. We have to be strong, for her more than anything now. But I just wanted her to wake up more than anything, I'm missing her so bad I feel lost without her.
Once Vic had finished singing, I put on another cd for her, to keep her sane in her sleep.
We didn't get long to see her today because doctors are planning on doing some tests on her today, so getting some news tomorrow will be awesome.
We are going to dedicate tonights show and Hold On Till May to Syd tonight. Bring it on.
