~Kari’s POV~
I gathered my clothes and headed to the bathroom to shower. When I was done, I got dressed and went into my room. I blow dried and straightened my hair before putting on some shoes. I went downstairs and started making food. My dad came downstairs and made some coffee. When I was done, I handed him a plate of food. I saw that Tony wasn’t up yet so I headed upstairs to wake him up. His door was closed so I knocked on it. I called his name while knocking. I received no response so I opened the door. He wasn’t in the room and I stood there with a confused look on my face. All of the sudden I felt someone wrap their arms around my waist. I turned around to face Tony. He leaned down and kissed me. “Breakfast is ready.” I told him. He nodded and went into his room to put some shoes on. When he was done, we both headed downstairs and ate along with my dad. They thanked me for making the food. I washed the dishes and sat on the couch when I was done.
“You ready to go?” Tony asked walking into the living room.
“Oh yea. Dad, I’m going to go meet some of Tony’s friends. We’ll be back later.” I said as I got up and walked towards my dad.
“Alright.” He said as we headed out the door and got into the car. I noticed that the farther we drove, the more familiar the road was. I figured that it was just a coincidence. Once he said we arrived, I was really confused.
“What are we doing here?”
“What do you mean? This is my friends’ house.” He said as he turned off the car.
“Yea but this is also my friends’ house…”
“You’re friends with Vic and Mike?”
“Yea.”
“Oh. Do you know Jaime?”
“Yea. Those guys are like my brothers.” I said as we both got off of the car. We walked towards the door and knocked on it. I stood behind Tony as we waited. Jaime answered the door.
“Hey Tone. I thought you said you were bringing your girlfriend?”
“I did.” Tony said as he moved over and let Jaime see me.
“No way…” he said as he smiled.
“Yea way…” I said jokingly. He walked over to me and hugged me. He let us in the house and led us to the living room where Mike and Vic were.
“Hey Kari.” they both said surprised as they walked over and hugged me. “What brings you here?”
“Well I heard that you guys wanted to meet Tony’s girlfriend.”
“You guys know each other?” Mike asked confused.
“Oh yea.” Tony said smiling.
“How? And where is your girlfriend Tony?” Vic asked.
“She’s right there.” He said pointing to me. They both stared in awe still not believing us.
“How did that even happen?” Jaime chimed in. We both explained everything.
“Well that was unexpected.” Vic said. We all caught up on a few things. Turns out the boys liked to play music together every once in a while.
“We should go to the beach.” Jaime suggested.
“I don’t have any clothes or swimsuit though.” I said.
“I’ll let you borrow some.” Vic said.
“Umm I don’t know…”
“Too bad we’re going any way.” Vic said as he threw me some clothes. He tugged on my arm and made me get up as he pushed me into the bathroom to change. I changed into his clothes and stepped out of the bathroom. Everyone had all their things ready and before I knew it, we were all in Vic’s SUV on our way to the beach. We arrived there and found a good spot. I sat on a towel in the sand watching the boys mess around in the water. All of the sudden Tony got out of the water and walked towards me. I tried not to stare, but couldn’t help it. He noticed and smirked. He finally got over to me.
“Come in the water.” He said.
“But I don’t want to.”
“Please?” he said with a pouty face.
“But-“ I was cut off.
“No buts.” He said. He lifted me up and slung me over his shoulder. I pounded on his back.
“Put me down!” I said. He ignored me and ran to the water. He let me go and threw me into the water. I came back to the surface and wiped water out of my eyes. I stood up “You suck! I’m going to get you back for that.” I said to Tony. He just laughed. I walked over to where the towels were. I stood there for a moment thinking. I got an idea “Hey Vic you want to help me get back at Tony?” I said with an evil grin.
“Umm sure.”
“Hey Tony I’m going to borrow your hoodie!” I yelled to him.
“Ok!” he yelled back. I dug threw a bag and found it.
“Here put this on.” I said throwing the hoodie to Vic. He did as told. “Now sit down facing the other way. I’m going to go hide.”
I went and hid behind a trash can and watched my plan go into play. I saw Tony approach Vic and wrap his arm around him. He leaned in to kiss him but stopped and freaked out when he saw it was him and not me. I came out from behind the trash can and burst out laughing. “You almost kissed Vic!” I said through laughs.
“I thought it was you!” I continued to laugh along with everyone else as Tony just jokingly glared at me. I’ve got to say, it was probably the funniest thing ever.
