"Why not Jaime?" I asked, trying to sound natural and confused, "What's wrong?"

"Come look at this," he said, "Tony I'm really concerned..."

I gulped before walking over to the bathroom. When I got there, the mess looked ten times worse from when I left a few minutes ago. The stains looked deeper and some of them were still wet, how am I going to cover this up?

"Oh my god..." I whispered, shuddering at my own stupidity. I really need to be careful next time...

"I don't think this was here last night..." he said, running his hand over the stains. When he reached the wet one, he recoiled and looked at me, his mouth agape. Fuck, Tony, say something.

I just stood there, my mouth wide open. I glanced around the room and almost shrieked in horror, I left my blade out. Before I could do anything to hide it or prevent him from seeing it, he looked up at me in horror.

"Tony?" he whispered, "What happened in here? The blood's still wet, and there's this blade... Did you..." He trailed off, unable to continue his question.

I don't know what to say. It seems like the answer to his question was right in front of him. Should I tell him? I'd kept it from him for so many years... Would he be mad? Would he think I was crazy? Would he tell Vic and Mike? I felt tears fill my eyes and quickly spill over, I couldn't hide it anymore, my secret's out.

"How long has this been going on Tony?" he asked, his voice quiet, "What made you feel this low?"

"Since high school," I whispered, trying to stop crying, "It's a good stress reliever. It didn't start like that though, it started shortly after the start of senior year... I couldn't handle the loss of a very important person in my life..."

"Oh," he said, tears welling in his eyes, "God! I'm such a bad friend, I've known you for that long and I'm just now figuring it out. Was it your aunt's death that started this?"

"Jaime," I said, wiping my tears, "You're a great friend, my best friend and I need you. And it wasn't my aunt, which is the horrible part. I- uhh- I've never told anyone outside of the situation itself... But Junior year I..." I hesitated, deciding at last minute that I didn't want to reveal too much, "I had a boyfriend that had a lot of issues. He was anorexic and schizophrenic, and I took care of him and tried to make it better... But he left me all alone without an explanation and it really messed me up..."

I didn't look at him, I couldn't look at him. I just spilled almost everything out to him, everything that I could without involving others.

"Oh Tony," he said, rubbing my back, "I'm so, so sorry. That must have been terrible, giving your all to someone and having them leave you alone."

I didn't say anything, there was nothing left for me to say.

"Turtle," he whispered, "Are you ok? It looks like you lost a lot of blood..."

"I don't know," I whispered back to him, "I woke up and did this at 4:30, in the process I passed out and woke up at 9:30. I feel better, but still lightheaded."

"Ok," he said, "Get out of here and eat the food you bought. You need to get sugar in your system. I'll stay in here and clean this up as much as I can."

I nodded and slowly walked out, Jaime's such a good friend, I don't know what I'd do without him. I made my way to the table and sat down, taking a bite of my poptart.
