Tony and I walked back up to the school. It was time for second period now. We walked into the doors, and I was scared to face going back in there. I walked in and he came shortly behind me. He walked up so we were standing really close together. I just looked up at him and smiled. We walked into our second period class, geography. We took our seats and seconds later our teacher walked over to our desk.

"Ms. Devore, you were called into the principal's office during last period and never showed. Where were you?" I completely froze. Fuck, fuck, fuck.

"Um. I wasn't feeling good, so I sat in the bathroom.." I mumbled. She looked at me and I could tell she was suspicious.

"Alright, Ms. Devore. You are still wanted in the principal's office, so please make your way there." I just nodded and pressed my lips together. Our teacher walked away and I started to put my stuff back into my bag.

"Shit, Carlee. Do you want me to come with you?" Tony asked.

"Tony you can't just leave class." I laughed. I was nervous as fuck to go to the principal's office though. I knew Aubrey went and told about what happened, probably twisting the fuck out of the story and manipulating the principal. Something she was good at besides spreading her legs. I got up and brushed past Tony as he whispered in my ear, "Watch me."

I just looked at him and I headed out of the door, him following me.

"Mr. Perry? Where do you think you're going?" the teacher called from across the room. Tony didn't say anything and just followed me out of the door. We could hear our teacher yelling from inside the room, but we kept walking.

"Oh my god, Tony! You're going to get in so much shit for just leaving like that." I laughed.

"Oh well. I want to make sure you're not getting in trouble for what Aubrey did." I just smiled and we made our way around the corner and into the principal's office. Sure enough, Aubrey was there. She was pretending to cry. Fucking piece of shit. The principal turned her attention to Tony, who obviously wasn't supposed to be there, and Aubrey just gave me a dirty smirk. I rolled my eyes and took a seat next to the door.

"Why is Tony here?" Aubrey bitched.

"Because he's a witness." I spat. She rolled her eyes and Tony sat down next to me. The principal took her seat at her desk.

"I want to talk to you all individually. But first, I want to hear the story from Mr. Perry." I shot my eyes over to Tony. He nodded and began to speak.

"Well, I wasn't there for the beginning of it, but I came around the corner to see Aubrey shoving Carlee into the the lockers and calling her things like "fat ass" and "whore," so I just stood there to see what was going to happen. Aubrey kept shoving Carlee after Carlee repeatedly told her to stop shoving her. Then Carlee said 'touch me one more time, see what happens.' and Aubrey then continued to shove her. Then that's when everyone started to crowd around them. Carlee pushed Aubrey off of her and then Aubrey punched Carlee in the face." I nodded and showed the principal the bump on my face from Aubrey punching me.

"That is such a lie! She probably hit herself in the face like the twisted person she is!" Aubrey yelled.

"Ms. Monroe, please be respectful,"

"Mr. Perry, please continue."

"So Carlee punched Aubrey back in the face for self defense. Then they just started fighting until Aubrey ran out. Carlee was going to run after her until I pulled her back. So I took her out of the school to help calm her down. That's also why we weren't in first period." I wasn't expecting Tony to lie for me in any way, because I knew that either way Aubrey would get into more trouble. I just nodded in agreement. It was all the truth.

"Alright, thank you Tony. You can head back to class now." He nodded and before getting up from his seat whispered to me, "Let me know how it goes." I nodded and he headed out of the room.

"Okay, I've already talked you alone, so you may leave as well." she said, nodding towards Aubrey. She nodded and also headed out of the room.

"Please take a seat in front of me Ms. Devore." I did as told and began to tell her my side of the story.

"I wasn't even doing anything, me and Aubrey have had a bad past outside of school and I just turned the corner and she said to her friend, "Look, it's Whore Devore." and I was going to leave until Aubrey came in front of me and shoved me back into the lockers. I told her to stop over and over again but she continued to shove me. So I shoved her back away from me and that's when she punched me." I told her the rest of the story and she just nodded.

"Alright, well, I'm sorry Ms. Devore, but Aubrey has more witnesses telling me otherwise. I'm afraid I'm going to have to suspend you from school for a week. We have a zero tolerance for violence here."

I couldn't fucking believe it. Of course she had more 'witnesses.'

"Really? Don't you have like security cameras or something that you can check?" I shot back.

"Yes, we do, but I don't think we need to take it that far. It's done, Carlee. I'm sorry."

I just started crying. My second day of school and I'm already suspended for a week thanks to the same fucking bitch who ruined everything else for me. The principal just stared at me with a sorry look. I didn't want to get up and leave. I didn't want Aubrey to see me crying. I just sat there and continued to cry. The principal stood up and escorted me out.

Instead of going back to class, Tony was sitting in the office waiting for me. I walked past him and he shot up, running out towards me. I started heading out of the front doors and down the steps. I got to my car and felt Tony's hand around my wrist. I turned around and he just looked at me. I was still crying and he put his hand up to my face, wiping my tears away.

"What did she say?"

"Aubrey has more 'witnesses' and I'm suspended from school for a week."

"What the fuck?! Are you serious?" he yelled.

"Yep. So, if you don't mind, I'm just going to go home and probably just fucking die." I said, opening my door. He pulled me back.

"Don't fucking say that." he said. He was completely serious.

"Tony, I wasn't being serious.."

"I don't care. I don't want to hear you say that. You promised me you wouldn't even think about that." he said. I sighed.

"Okay. I'm sorry." he pulled my hand and closed my car door. He started pulling me back towards the school.

"What are we doing?" I asked.

"We're going to get you unsuspended. That's complete bullshit." he yelled. I didn't even bother fighting it, I let him drag me back into the school and back into the office. He knocked hard and loud on the principal's office door. She opened it and he walked in without her saying a word.

"Aubrey and all of her 'witnesses' are lying, Mrs. Barnum!" he shouted.

"Mr. Perry, I am going to have to ask you to either lower your voice or exit my office."

"Check the security tapes." he said.

"What?"

"Check. The. Security. Tapes." he repeated. Mrs. Barnum nodded and walked into a room over and came back with a tape in her hand. She put it in the tapeplayer and turned on the dark screen. The tape replayed what happened earlier today. Mrs. Barnum shook her head in disbelief. She paused the tape and walked over to her intercom. She pressed a button and a second later it connected.

Yes? A faint voice sounded.

"Could you please send Aubrey Monroe to my office for just a moment? Tell her to bring her things." the voice on the other end agreed and within a couple of minutes Aubrey walked into the office.

"Aubrey, please take a look at this." Mrs. Barnum said, pointing towards the screen. She restarted the fight and Aubrey just stood there completely dumbfounded.

"Um.. that's not me!" she said, lamely.

"Ms. Monroe, you are hereby suspended for 2 months. I'll have your teachers get your assignments you're going to be missing prepared and have them mailed to you within a week. Please exit my office, gather any thing else of yours and exit the school."

Aubrey stood there for a second, then scoffed and left the room. I looked over to Tony and smiled as big as I could. This was like the best moment ever.

"I'm sorry for not checking more into the problem, Ms. Devore. If you have any more problems with Aubrey, please let me know, I'll get them taken care of. You may go home for the rest of the day if you'd like."

"You may go home for the rest of the day as well, Mr. Perry." she said, turning to Tony. Holy fucking shit, this is awesome.

"Can I get some ice for my face?" I asked. I was definitely going to take advantage of this.

"Yes, I'll go get some." Mrs. Barnum left the office and I turned to Tony.

"Holy shit! It's only second period and we are getting the rest of the day off. This is fucking awesome." I said, nearly jumping.

"Yeah I know." Tony said, laughing at my excitement. Mrs. Barnum came back with a bag of ice and paper towels. She handed it to me and flashed me a smile.

"Have a good day kids." she said. I smiled and Tony and I left the room. We walked out of the school and I was really excited. Things are finally going good for me for the first time in 2 years. I felt happiness start to take over. That was, until my phone buzzed. I checked it and read the message.
