"You're not ready, are you?" Vic asked, with such a sad expression on his face. He seemed to be disappointed, but he assured me that we'd get through it. He had one hand on my leg and the other in my hair. "You're going to be a good mother, Abby. Don't let the memories of your mother get the best of you. You're nothing like your mother." Tears rolled down my face as if a beavers dam had broken and the water freed itself. He held on to me so tight, so sure that I'd be a great mother. I still wasn't excited. I wasn't even sure if I wanted the baby. I wiped my tears away to the sound of the door bell. "I'll get it," Vic said as he got up and ran to the door as if the person behind the door was going to leave. "WHATS UP DADDY?!" I heard Mike yell from the front door, along with laughing coming from Tony and Jaime. Fuck! I ran to the bathroom to freshen up and came out, greeted them with hugs and put a smile on my face. They continued by asking so many questions! Such girls, I swear. They all seemed to be so excited, but me.
