I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I rolled over, yawning and picked up my phone. It was a call from my beautiful boyfriend, Vic.

"Morning gorgous," I said, still sleepy, "What's up?"

"I'm on my way to your house," he said, "I heard that congress made a disision on same sex marriages and I want to be with you when they announce it on the morning news. Don't worry, I'm bringing coffee and breakfast!"

"Really?!" I said, instantly nervous and excited, "How soon?"

"I'll be at your house in five minutes," he said, "The annoucement is going to be soon. Have the tv on, I hope I don't miss it!"

"See you in a bit babe!" I exclaimed before hanging up.

I jumped out of bed and ran to the living room, not bothering to get dressed. I turned the tv on before running over to the door and unlocking it for Vic. I sat down on the couch and anxiously waited.

Did I want to get married to Vic? Hell yeah I did. I know we've only been dating for a year, but I've been in love with the boy for three years. And I've never felt this way about anyone. If this bill passed, I might take him to Vegas to be married by the end of the day. But Vic would never go for that, he's a hopeless romantic and I know he wants a fairytale wedding, happy ending and all.

I heard his car pull into the driveway. I turned the volume completely up as the news came back on.

Their was a knock on the door. "It's open!" I yelled.

Vic came bursting in the door, throwing a bag of food and two cups of coffee on the table before joining me on couch. He kissed my temple before turning his attention to the tv.

"And so," the congress man said, continuing his speech, "We have come to the desision that the Federal Government has no holds on the right of marriage. We have desided that marriage is now legal for all couples, gay, lesbian or heterosexual."

The world around me stopped. I felt a smile creep to my face. The next thing I knew Vic had tackled me and was now laying on top of me. He kissed my forehead, my nose and then my lips.

"Babe," he whispered, "We could married."

I just smiled, unable to form words. I was so happy and excited, I felt tears welling in my eyes.

Vic stood up and pulled me off of the couch and into the kitchen.

"This is amazing," he said, "Now if I wanted to, I could give you a bouquet of flowers, like this."

He pulled out a small bouquet of red rosed out of the bag and gave them to me. I felt my heart swell, he was so thoughtful.

"I could take your hand, like this."

He took my hand that wasn't holding the flowers and kissed it.

"I could get down on one knee."

He did, not releasing my hand. I felt my heart beat faster.

"I could take out a small velvet box."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small black box, that looked to be velvet. Oh my god.

"And I could say this; Kellin Quinn Bostwick, you are the love of my life. I don't want to spend another day without legally being able to call you mine. I never want to wake up without you next to me. You're the peanut butter to my jelly, you're the burt to my eernie. I love you. Will you marry me?"

He opened the box to reveal a diamond ring, it wasn't to big but it wasn't to small. It was perfect. I felt tears streaming down my face.

"Ar- Are you serious?" I asked, trying not to sob out of joy.

He shook his head, but didn't say anything.

I pounced him, causing the both of us to fall backwards on to the floor. I kissed everywhere on his face, leaving his lips for last. Once I had kissed those too, I lifted my head up and said, "Yes. Vic yes! I love you."

"I love you too," he whispered, before placing his hand on the back of my neck and pulled me down to meet his lips once again.

So congress did something right for once! HAPPY HAPPY TIMES :D Yes I know what happened in my fic isn't what really happened in the real world, but I felt like this makes a munch more adorable thing to read.
