Bury The Taste

Falling

It had been a long time since the entire group had gotten together for a barbeque – it was a tradition for them. This time Tony had insisted on hosting the barbeque at the house that he shared with his girlfriend and best friends in Newport Beach, which was in the Los Angeles county, instead of San Diego. Ainsley made sure she was able to take two days off: one for the barbecue, and the day after so she could recuperate from the drinking they'd most likely be doing.

Jaime arrived to pick her up early on the Saturday morning of the barbecue, and Ainsley was elated to see him. It had been close to a week since she had seen him last, both of their schedules were packed with their work - the bakery for Ainsley and the band for Jaime. She leaped into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist as he caught her, his hands grabbing onto her behind to support her. She attached her lips to his in a strong, hungry kiss.

"I missed you, too, baby," Jaime chucked against her lips.

She pulled away a bit and smiled widely at him before placing one quick peck onto his lips and jumping down. "I'm ready to go when you are," Ainsley said, turning to look at the duffel bag that was waiting by the door with her overnight stuff. "I packed some extra stuff so I can leave it at your house."

"Good, because I finally cleared a drawer out for you to store your stuff," Jaime announced, proudly. Jaime had a drawer all to himself at Ainsley's house, and although they hardly met up at Jaime's house, he wanted to make it fair and have her keep a drawer at his house, too. And that way the random things she had left behind in the past would no longer be floating around his bedroom - now they would have a place where they belonged.

Ainsley smiled in response before she headed down the hallway to use the restroom before they were stuck in the car for an hour and a half. She looked herself over in the mirror after using the restroom and made sure that her makeup was still fresh. She adjusted her shirt, soothing out the wrinkles in the light pink top that had formed when she had hugged Jaime. She pulled the bottoms of her denim shorts down so they covered her thighs more comfortably and tucked a few strands of hair that had fallen behind her ears.

"Hey!" Jaime called from the living room. "Where's Felicia?"

Ainsley walked back into the living room and saw Jaime sprawled out on the couch with his hands covering his eyes. "She's hanging out with friends," Ainsley answered while taking a seat on the small amount of space that was left on the edge of the couch, right beside Jaime's chest. "What's wrong?" she asked, rubbing her hand over his chest.

He dropped one of his arms down and wrapped it around Ainsley's waist, letting his arm relax in her lap with his hand resting on her thigh. He let out a sigh and sat up just a little bit so he was propped up on his elbow. "Just a headache," he breathed out. He kissed Ainsley's arm and then rested his forehead against the spot he had just kissed while letting out another sigh.

"You need more sleep," she said, wrapping her arm around his head so he could rest it in her lap as she gently ran her fingers through his spikey hair. "Do you want me to drive?" she asked. "I can drive your car."

Jaime laughed a little bit at the image of a tiny Ainsley driving a big escalade. "If you can reach the pedals, then maybe."

"Oh, whatever," she said, rolling her eyes. "I'm not that short."

"Whatever you say," he laughed. "But no, I think I can drive. If I need you to drive, I'll let you know, though."

"Sounds good," Ainsley said, tapping her hand on Jaime's shoulder. "Let's go."

The two of them got into Jaime's escalade and began their journey over to Tony's house. Ainsley was feeling a bit nervous about going to Tony's house - she had never met his girlfriend or his roommates, but everybody else already knew each other. She knew that Jaime would never ditch her or make her feel uncomfortable, but she was afraid of not fitting in or feeling left out in their conversations.

Jaime held her hand the entire way to Tony's house, occasionally squeezing her hand and giving her a small smile in moments of silence. The car was filled with conversation for the most part - each of them telling each other about the past week. This was what Ainsley loved about her relationship with Jaime - even though they had a little bit of distance between them geographically, there was no emotional distance. They were always talking and telling each other about every little thing, whether it was important, funny, or completely meaningless. They knew everything about each other, and it was perfect. Ainsley didn't want her relationship to be any other way.

They arrived at Tony's house in just over an hour's time. Before they got out of the car, Jaime gently squeezed Ainsley's arm to get her attention. "You want the run down?" he asked, a small smile on his lips. Ainsley nodded enthusiastically, glad that Jaime had offered to give her some background information.

"Okay, so the owners of the house are Jaxin and Natalie Hall. They just had a baby - Ruby. She's a cutie. Great baby. Tony, Erin, and one other person live with them. The other guy that lives with them isn't important right now - he's hardly here. Now Tony and Erin haven't been an official couple for very long but they've been dating for a while now. They're exactly the same. Star Wars nerds, love coffee, love sharks, and so on. Erin is still getting used to the group, so she'll probably be feeling a bit awkward. But I think you two will have a lot in common. She also bakes."

Ainsley smiled widely. "She's a baker?" she asked, happily. "Like for fun or professionally?"

"You can ask her yourself," he said with a wink before quickly exiting the escalade. He opened up the trunk and grabbed two grocery bags and the handle of Jack Daniels that he had bought for the barbeque while Ainsley grabbed her own grocery bag and case of Corona that she bought. She left her overnight bag in the backseat - she didn't know if they were going to be spending the night at Tony's or if they would be driving back to Jaime's house later that night after sobering up. If she needed it, she figured she could always come out to the car to get it.

The front door was wide open with only the screen door shut for a small amount of security and to act as a shield for any bugs. They could hear laughter from inside the house as they approached the patio. Jaime used the bottle of alcohol to gently tap the screen door, the sound grabbing the attention of a brunette girl that was walking by. She looked to the screen door from across the room, her eyes narrowed as she tried to identify who was there.

"Jaime? Is that you?" she asked as she grew closer to the screen. Her eyes went back to normal once she was close enough to see through. "It is!" she cheered, happily.

"Hey! Can you open the door for us? Our hands are full."

The girl nodded and pushed open the screen door, leaning out the door to hold it open without stepping over the threshold. Jaime took the place of her hand, using his body to keep the screen door open. He nodded toward inside the house, signaling for Ainsley to go in first. Ainsley smiled weakly at the girl as she stepped forward.

“Erin, this is my girlfriend, Ainsley,” Jaime spoke as Ainsley walked through the doorway. “Ains, this is Erin, Tony’s girlfriend.”

Ainsley smiled widely as she remembered that Jaime had told her that Erin loved to bake. “Nice to finally meet you,” Ainsley said, her smile never leaving.

“Same to you,” Erin said with a large smile as well.

“Erin!” a voice called from somewhere in the house. “The timer is going off!”

Erin’s smile faded and realization struck her face. “Oh, shit,” she cursed, quickly taking a drink from the beer that was in her right hand. “Coming!” She hurried off into the kitchen, leaving Jaime and Ainsley by themselves.

“Follow her,” Jaime said as he stepped inside. “She’s going where we’re going.”

Ainsley did as she was told and follow in the direction that Erin had disappeared to. They walked through the large living room that had an enormous fireplace - small, rectangular stones took up the entire wall, small decorations littering the living room to fit the style of the furniture and house. From what Ainsley could see so far, the house was incredibly large. She chuckled to herself - how could she have not expected such a large house when there was a family, a couple, and another roommate all living there. The house had to be large to accommodate them all.

Erin turned a corner with Ainsley and Jaime close behind her - they entered the kitchen, which literally took Ainsley’s breath away. Erin turned around and chuckled when she heard Ainsley’s breathing change.

“Gorgeous, isn’t it?” Erin asked with a grin. “The same thing happened to me when I moved in. I still can’t believe I get to utilize this kitchen.”

Ainsley smiled and watched as Erin turned off the timer and opened the oven, pulling out a tray full of fat cookies. “Are those stuffed cookies?” Ainsley asked, immediately moving in for a closer look. “They smell delicious. Is that...peanut butter...and...caramel?”

“Sure is,” Erin said with a smile. “Took me forever, but I finally got the recipe down.”

“We sell some stuffed cookies at work, but I don’t get to experiment with them too much,” Ainsley said with a grin. “I’d like to try one once they’ve cooled down.”

“Of course,” Erin agreed, setting the tray on top of the stove to cool down. “Where do you work?”

Ainsley was a bit disappointed to see that nobody had ever mentioned her profession to Erin. Before Ainsley could answer, Tony came walking through one of the french doors that was open in the dining room just beside the kitchen. “Ainsley bakes, too,” Tony said as he helped Jaime with his grocery bags. “I told you that.”

Erin furrowed her eyebrows and pursed her lips as he eyes looked up at the ceiling, almost as if she was trying to turn her eyes around to search through her brain. She blinked, and when she opened her eyes again she was staring straight at Ainsley with a smile on her face. “That’s right!” she exclaimed. “I remember now.” She chuckled a bit and then muttered something to herself about how forgetful she was.

Ainsley immediately felt better and more accepted. She wondered if Tony had given Erin and his roommates the “run-down” like Jaime had done for her - just so they knew a little bit about her so things weren’t entirely awkward.

“You guys can talk more about it later,” Tony said as he handed her one of the already chilled Coronas from the fridge. “I have to introduce her to Jaxin, Nat, and Ruby.” He placed a hand on Ainsley’s shoulder and urged her toward the french doors.

“I’ll be out soon!” Erin called after them as she went to turn off the oven and check on her cookies.

Ainsley took a few large gulps of her beer as Tony led her to the backyard. She could hear soft music playing as they grew closer to the doors, along with laughter and small talk. She looked out the doors and saw a small circle of people standing around. Vic was talking to Casey while Mike was standing with his back toward Ainsley and Tony - he was facing a man and woman who she assumed to be Jaxin and his wife.

“Jaxin, Nat,” Tony called out as we grew closer. “This is Ainsley.”

Natalie reached her hand out for a gentle handshake and Jaxin gave her a small wave. “It’s nice to finally meet you,” Natalie spoke up. Ainsley furrowed her eyebrows a bit when she noticed the accent that she spoke with.

“New Zealand,” Jaxin explained, giving her a knowing look. He had the accent as well.

“Oh,” Ainsley said with a small smile. “Cool.”

“And this,” Mike spoke up, his back still turned to them. “Is Ruby.” Mike turned around, but before Ainsley could even comprehend what he was saying, she was met with a pair of large, wondrous eyes staring at her. Chubby cheeks and a large, barely-toothed grin had Ainsley melting in an instant. A headband with a bow was strapped onto the baby’s head, a thin, dirty blonde mohawk sticking up on the rest of her head. She was wearing red leggings with a white shirt that had a big, red heart on it.

“Isn’t she the cutest thing you’ve ever seen?” Mike gushed in a baby voice as he gently bounced her up and down. Her chubby cheeks bounced along with the movement.

“I’m in love,” Ainsley said as she reached out to place her finger in the baby’s out-stretched hand. Ruby immediately latched onto Ainsley and pulled.

“She likes you,” Jaxin commented with a slight grin. “You can hold her, if you’d like.”

Mike pouted, clearly not wanting to give up his time with the baby yet.

Just as Ainsley was about to force Mike to give up the baby or a moment, her name was called from across the yard. She turned her head and saw Malorie standing inside of a bounce-house that was inflated at the end of the grass area. Malorie was bouncing slightly in place as she frantically waved and then pushed her face up against the thick netting that was keeping her inside. She pushed her lips through one of the diamond holes in the netting and shoved her fingers through the others.

“Ainsley! Heeelllppp meeeeee,” she said in a playfully distorted tone. She gurgled on some spit to add some sound effects as she slowly slid down until her knees hit the floor of the bounce-house, her body bobbing up and down as the floor shook from the contact. “Ainsakin Skywalker….send….help…” she called out as she fell backwards, demonstrating her flexibility as her knees remained bent beneath her.

“Oh my god,” Casey grumbled as he placed a hand onto his face. “Will you please go humor her?” he said as he looked at Ainsley. “I swear these things make her five years old.”

Ainsley laughed at what he said, but the truth was that it did the same to her. She was nearly bouncing as she stood on the patio, ready to take off and leap inside. “I’ll be right back,” Ainsley said, giving Natalie and Jaxin a smile. She made a small face to the baby, reached up and lightly tapped Mike’s cheek in a mock slap (but not hard enough to cause him to react since he was holding the baby), and then darted off across the lawn. As she approached the front of the bouncie, she began to unbuckle her sandals so they were already off by the time she made it to the entrance. She dropped them beside Malorie’s flats and dove through the small hole, landing on half of Malorie, who was still laying on the floor - her eyes closed and her tongue sticking out the side of her mouth as she mocked death.

“Don’t you worry, Darth Mal, I will save you!” Ainsley cried out, shaking Malorie’s shoulders as she did so. Ainsley stopped shaking her and stood up, immediately jumping all around the bouncie - colliding into the four towers that supported the castle and making sure to jump right next to Malorie extra hard to get her whole body to lift up from it. Malorie couldn’t take it anymore, she immediately began to laugh and jumped up, immediately joining in on the jumping.

“I knew that Ainsakin Skywalked and Darth Mal could put their differences aside and be allies!” Mal cheered through laughter.

Ainsley stopped jumping right away and stared at Malorie, who stopped jumping as well. Her smile was slowly fading as confusion took over.

“I brought you back…” Ainsley said lowly. “Only so I can...KILL YOU AGAIN!” Ainsley took one leap and launched herself onto Malorie, tackling her down and starting a wrestling match.

They continued to wrestle while the adults socialized on the patio, occasionally laughing at the two in the bounce house when they would hear them screaming at each other.

Jaime walked onto the back patio with a mixed drink in his hand and a cookie in the other. “There’s a bounce house? Nobody told me!” Jaime whined through a mouthful of cookie.

“Wow, you two are exactly the same,” Jaxin said with a laugh. Jaime looked over to him and walked over to where he was standing with Mike and Natalie; Ruby now fussing in Natalie’s arms. “You and Ainsley are too perfect.”

Jaime smiled widely at his comment. “Thank you, I feel the same way.” He puffed his chest out proudly as he chewed the rest of his cookie.

“She won’t stay still,” Natalie grumbled as Ruby continued to fuss in her arms. “I think she wants to go in the bouncie.”

“Well she obviously can’t alone,” Jaxin commented. “Isn’t that right, baby? Say, ‘I can’t even walk on my own, Dada, of course I can’t.’ Aw, I know, princess,” he said in a baby voice, directing his words to Ruby as he ruffled her hair a bit.

“Ains could take her in there,” Jaime offered, nodding toward where Ainsley was attacking Malorie in the bouncie.

Natalie and Jaxin gave him a death glare, assuming that he was being sarcastic based off of how violent she was acting with Mal.

“No, seriously. She’s great with kids. She’ll calm down once the baby is in there. Mal will, too,” Jaime promised.

“She loves babies,” Mike commented, nodding along with Jaime. “And Mal is great with them, too.”

Natalie sighed and walked across the lawn. Jaime and Mike watched as Natalie talked to the girls through the netting, holding Ruby up a bit so she could grab onto the netting and shake it around. Malorie decided to leave the bounce-house entirely before Natalie could help Ruby crawl through the opening of the bouncie. Ainsley gently scooped her up and held her for a moment, staring down at her and talking to her before she took one small bounce - her feet not even leaving the ground entirely. Ainsley’s entire face lit up in surprise as she stared at Ruby, earning a small giggle from the baby.

Jaime smiled as he watched her gently move around with Ruby in her arms.

“You know,” Mike said as he watched them, too, “she’d make an amazing mother.”

Jaime’s face immediately turned beet red at Mike’s words. He could see Mike from the corner of his eye as he turned to look at Jaime. Jaime knew what kind of conversation Mike was trying to bring up. “Yeah, I wouldn’t doubt that,” Jaime answered after a moment.

“Do you want kids?” Mike asked.

Jaime felt weird having this conversation with Mike. Although the two of them were close, they never really discussed things like this. None of them really discussed things like this - it wasn’t a very “dude” thing for them to do.

“Yeah, I do,” Jaime finally answered. “I just don’t know if she does.”

Mike nodded and turned to look back at Ainsley as she exited the bounce house with Ruby. They walked up to the patio; Ainsley immediately meeting Jaime’s side. At the same time, they each leaned in to each other for a quick kiss.

“You guys are so lame,” Mike groaned as he turned to walk into the house.

--

“Are you serious?” Natalie asked, her eyes wide in belief.

Ainsley nodded sadly as she took a sip of her beer. “She’s been living with me ever since.”

“So both of Felicia’s parents, um…” Erin began, but didn’t want to say the words.

“Yeah, both of them,” Ainsley nodded again.

Apparently Erin had followed Ainsley on instagram a while back and had noticed pictures of Felicia on there and had followed her as well. Erin was curious as to who she was, having heard Tony talk about her once before and seeing her in pictures on such on the guys’ instagrams, she figured she asked. Ainsley was glad that they were interested in getting to know her - and Felicia. So she told them the story that Jeric had told her, and then told them all about how Felicia became a part of her life.

“You’re so nice to do that for her,” Natalie said, placing a hand on Ainsley’s shoulder. “I had always heard that you were a really fun gal from all the guys, but they never told us about any of this. You’re such a good person.”

Ainsley blushed at the compliments, feeling strange to be receiving so many of them. She didn’t tell the story to receive praise for it - it’s a horrible story to tell and she wished that she didn’t have one that devastating on hand. “Thank you,” Ainsley said softly. “I just know what it’s like to grow up alone - to lose your family. Nobody should have to go through that.”

Erin frowned and turned to look at Natalie. “Tony told us about your family,” Erin said.

“Yeah,” Ainsley sighed, not really having much else to say.

“Oh my goodness,” Natalie said after a moment, her tone now light and laced with laughter. “Look at that,” she gushed.

Ainsley looked up and saw that Natalie and Erin were both turned around to stare at Jaime. Ainsley joined in - turning around on the couch to see what they were looking at. Jaime was holding Ruby - his right arm was planted firmly under her butt as she rested her head on his chest. She wasn’t sleeping - her eyes were wide open with a content smile stretched across her face. Jaime was holding her right hand in his left - holding it up as if they were dancing together to the music that played. The music was gentle and soft, so he gently rocked from side to side, throwing in a slow spin to elicit a giggle from the baby.

Ainsley rested her chin on the back of the couch and watched as Jaime dancing with Ruby, each of them having so much fun in their own little world. He bent down and placed a gentle kiss to her forehead as she began to fall asleep in his arms. He rested his cheek on her head very gently, letting her hand go so he could wrap his other arm around her and cuddle her into his chest some more. Ainsley let out a sigh as she watched her boyfriend interact with Ruby - it made her fall for him even more. Her heart fluttered when Jaime caught her staring. He smiled softly to her and gave her a small wink as he continued to move around.

“That’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen,” Natalie said as she held her phone up to take a picture.

“You’d never expect a guy like Jaime to be so mellow, would you?” Erin added in with a chuckle.

Natalie laughed as well. “That’s what I first thought when I saw you, Ainsley,” she said. “You and Malorie were animals in that bounce-house, but then Mike and Jaime said that you would love to take Ruby in the bouncie, and as soon as I walked up, something clicked.”

“Something clicked?” Ainsley asked - her gaze still on Jaime.

“Yeah,” Natalie nodded, turning to look at Ainsley. “You have a natural motherly instinct. Just like how Jaime has a fatherly instinct. I don’t know how serious you two are, but you could make amazing parents someday.”

Ainsley blushed and chuckled nervously, breaking her gaze to look down at the beer in her hands. She turned back around so she was sitting normally on the couch and took a sip of her beer. “I don’t know…” she said with a chuckle.

“I’m serious - I mean it!” Natalie exclaimed, placing her hand on Ainsley’s knee. “I’m trying to make you uncomfortable, I’m just calling it as I see it.”

“Don’t worry,” Erin chimed in, “when she first met me, she said that I’d make a good nun.”

Ainsley tossed her head back and laughed at her comment. “Really?” she laughed out.

“Oh my! That is taken out of context!” Natalie argued, pointing an assuing finger at Erin.

Erin shook her head. “You still said it, though,” she replied.

The two girls began to bicker and laugh over the memory they shared, but Ainsley tuned them out as she began to think about what Natalie said. Ainsley knew that Jaime would make a great father someday, but she didn’t know if it would be to her child. Was it even reasonable to be thinking of those things so early on in their relationship? They hadn’t even used the ‘L’ word yet - how could she possibly be imagining Jaime as the father to her child?

“Excuse me ladies,” Jaime spoke up, breaking Ainsley from her thoughts and interrupting Nat and Erin’s conversation. “I’m going to steal my girl for a bit, if you don’t mind.”

Erin and Natalie held their hands up, Erin motioning toward Ainsley to tell Jaime to go right ahead. Ainsley couldn’t help but blush as Jaime held his hand out to her for her to take. She placed her hand in his and he helped lift her from the couch. She followed Jaime through the small cluster of people in the kitchen and headed toward the french doors - which were now closed.

He opened the door for Ainsley and she stepped outside, goosebumps prickling her skin as the cool temperature greeted her. It was dark now - they had finished the barbeque hours ago, and now it had turned to a small gathering in the kitchen where everybody was talking, drinking, and snacking on the cookies that Erin had made. The bounce-house was still inflated in the back of the yard, and Ainsley knew that was what Jaime wanted to do.

Ainsley set her beer down on the patio table and removed her sandals, leaving them on the patio. She quickly jogged across the dewy grass and climbed back into the bouncie, immediately starting a steady pace for her jumping.

Jaime met her in the bounce house, immediately starting a rampage - stomping around and launching himself at the walls so he would fly back and land on the floor. Ainsley jumped around him to make him bounce, similar to what she had down to Mal earlier.

“I feel like I’m five years old,” Ainsley giggled as she continued to jump.

“No,” Jaime groaned. “Then that makes me a pedophile.”

“Stay away from me,” Ainsley said through her erratic breathing as she continued to jump. “Boys have cooties.”

Jaime reached out and grabbed her ankle as she was jumping, causing her to lose her balance and fall to her knees beside where Jaime was laying. “You bastard,” she laughed as he stuck his tongue out at her. She rolled over so she was on her back beside him, their hands somehow managing to intertwine between them. They stared up at the top of the bounce-house. There was no view of the night sky visible, but for some reason, it was soothing.

There was the sound of the machine that was keeping the bouncie inflated mixed with the stillness of the night and their heavy, labored breathing from the jumping.Through the humming of the machine and the blowing of the air it produced, there was the faint chirping of crickets and the a muffled sound of the people and music that was inside the house. They just laid there, staring at the yellow vinyl and listening to the odd mixture of sounds, each of them lost in their minds.

They weren’t drunk, not even close. Just warm from the casual consumption of alcohol. They had slowed down on the drinking hours ago, each of them deciding to remain relatively sober for the night so they could spend the night at Jaime’s house.

“Do you want kids?” Jaime spoke up, his voice gentle and soft.

Ainsley exhaled, feeling somewhat nervous about the topic. “I think so,” she answered. “I mean, I’m not completely sure, but I would like to say yes.”

She turned to look at Jaime. “What about you?” she asked.

“Yeah,” Jaime exhaled, “I do. Someday.”

“I thought so,” she said through a breath.

She smiled as the image of Jaime with Ruby flooded her mind. He looked so happy while holding the baby - he looked like he was having so much fun and was at peace at the same time. This was a side she had never seen of Jaime before, and as the days went on, she continued to learn more and more about him and her feelings for him grew deeper and deeper. She was falling in love with him, and although it was too soon to be for sure about the intense feelings, she knew that it was going to happen, and she couldn’t wait for the day.

“What are you smiling about over there?” Jaime asked, his voice hardly above a whisper as he chuckled softly.

Ainsley bit her lip as she turned to face Jaime, her body suddenly overtaken by the feelings she held for him. Something shifted in the air of the bounce-house, and suddenly Jaime’s eyes were dark and hungry as he looked at her, his eyes fixated on her teeth that were gently gnawing on her bottom lip.

She rolled over so she was straddling Jaime, his hands immediately gripping onto her hips - his thumbs pushing up the bottom of her shirt so they could trace over her hipbones. “I thought boys have cooties,” Jaime teased as he pushed his hands up a little higher up her shirt.

“I don’t want to be five anymore,” Ainsley breathed out with a smile, shaking her head dramatically so her hair flew around her face.

Jaime chuckled and watched Ainsley, his feelings growing just as much as hers. “Come here, then,” Jaime said. “Let me show you what it feels like to be a woman.”

“Oooh,” Ainsley said with a wink. “Do show me,” she flirted.

Jaime chuckled as Ainsley leaned down so she could press her lips to his. Their lips moved together slowly in a passionate kiss. They pulled away for just a moment - she needed confirmation as to what was going to happen next. Jaime didn’t want to pause though - he connected his lips to her neck. He left some love bites down her neck until his mouth met her cleavage.

“Remember that list?” Jaime asked, his voice muffled as his face was planted between her breasts.

“What?” Ainsley breathed. “What list?”

“The list of places I want to have sex with you at.”

Ainsley chuckled a bit, but her breathing fell short as Jaime’s tongue traced over her skin for a moment. “Is there really a list? I thought that was a joke,” she managed to speak out.

Jaime quickly flipped them over so he was on top of her, her hands pinned against the bottom of the bouncie house as Jaime held them above her head. “Well, it’s a mental list,” he said as he shrugged his shoulders. “Believe it or not, this was on the list.”

Ainsley shook her head in disbelief. “Yeah, right,” she said as she rolled her eyes.

“I’m dead serious,” he said with a laugh.

Ainsley smirked as Jaime looked down at her with hunger. “Then release my hands so we can cross another place off that list.”

Ainsley's Outfit

Hey guys! Here's a decent sized update for you all! I'm so sorry it took two months for me to update. I'm terrible, I know. I still have a lot in store for you guys - some of it you might hate me for, so I'm sorry in advance.

Don't forget to check out my story that I'm writing with the talented Jolee. It's called Now It's Your Turn To Run. We're having so much fun with that story, and updates are a lot more frequent than any of my other stories.

Incredible story!!! Actually reread it right after I finished.
Please update again soon!

This story is so amazing. I love your writing and creativity with the characters. Ainsley is so relatable as a person, I love her relationship with Jaime and friendship with mal and the guys.

It's cool that she has such a motherly instinct even with her family or lack thereof. I wonder what was bothering Jaime and if we'll ever find out what happened that night with Bret.

Thanks so much for the story!!
