Bury The Taste

Both of Us

After Jaime left, Anne and Ainsley helped Felicia set up her new bedroom. Since Ainsley already had a bed and a dresser in the room, Felicia decided that all she needed to bring over were the essentials: her clothing, her stereo, her laptop, her makeup, some posters, and of course, her album collection. It was easy to get her things unpacked since she didn’t have much, but Ainsley was still overly exhausted once they finished pulled the last album from the box. Anne insisted on cooking the two girls dinner, but Ainsley and Felicia told her that it was fine, and that she should go home and rest. Anne had been far too stressed for a pregnant woman and Ainsley was worried for her baby’s health. Luckily, Anne agreed and ended up heading home around nine o’clock in the evening.

“I really hope this is okay with you,” Felicia said softly as she watched Ainsley do the dishes in the kitchen. “I won’t get in the way, and I’ll help you keep the house clean, I promise.”

Ainsley smiled. “Don’t worry, Felicia. It’ll be different, but I think it’ll be good for the both of us.”

“I just…I couldn’t stand to see his pictures in the hallways. I wouldn’t be able to look at my aunt every day. They…they have the same eyes…”

Ainsley continued on with the dishes in silence, unsure of how to comfort Felicia. When Ainsley’s mother died, she didn’t have to worry about seeing anybody that would remind her of her mother’s features since the rest of her family was gone. Ainsley hadn’t seen a picture of her mother since she had died, and she wondered what would happen if she looked at one. Ainsley held on to the memory of her mother by keeping her belongings, but never had she been reminded of her face. Ainsley tried to remember her features, but all she could see were sunken, eyes with droopy gray bags beneath me. She shook the image out of her head and sigh as she dried off the final dish.

“My only concern is how often you’re going to be alone. I work all day and sometimes all night, too. And after you called me from that party-“

“It was a kick back, actually,” Felicia quickly corrected. “And that was a first –and only- time thing. I swear it.”

Ainsley nodded, but she still didn’t feel quite at ease. A lot of time alone after losing a family member like that can take a huge toll on your mental health – Ainsley knew this first hand. She still hadn’t fully recovered from feeling so alone in her life, even when surrounded by friends.

Ainsley’s face fell as she thought about her friends. More specifically, Malorie. The two hadn’t talked much since the last time Mal had spent the night, and Ainsley thought about picking up the phone and calling her, but decided against it since she was probably enjoying her time with Casey since he had just come back home from tour.

And then Ainsley started to miss Jaime, even though she had just seen him earlier in the day. And then she started to miss Vic, Mike, and even Tony. Ainsley felt alone all over again. It was a vicious cycle that went on in Ainsley’s mind, and it wasn’t until Felicia started to hum to herself that Ainsley snapped herself out of it.

“Hey!” Felicia said happily as she drew invisible patterns into the counter with her fingertips. “Maybe I can go to work with you? I’ll just help clean or something. Maybe make your day easier?”

Ainsley smiled widely at Felicia suggestion. “That’s actually a great idea. How old are you again?” Ainsley was thinking about maybe hiring Felicia at the bakery, that way her paychecks could help out around the house.

“Fifteen,” Felicia answered.

Ainsley pouted. “Damn. Well, when you turn sixteen I can hire you at the bakery, you know,” Ainsley said, now offering a smile.

Felicia nodded wildly. “That’d be awesome! I’d love to work at the bakery with you!”

The two girls slowly ended up finding their ways to their bedrooms after saying an awkward goodnight. Ainsley left her door open just a crack so she could keep an eye on the hallway, but Felicia shut her door entirely. Ainsley laid in bed for a good half hour, mulling over the idea of calling Jaime. Before she could make a decision, her eyes grew heavy and she fell into her slumber.

-

The next morning Ainsley was surprised to see that Felicia was up and ready before eight in the morning. Felicia was wearing dark skinny jeans with a comfortable, yet cute, floral print top along with black flats and a small bow holding her bangs out of her face. She had no makeup on, but she didn’t need it since her cheeks were naturally rosy and her eyelashes long and thick.

“I’m ready to go in to the bakery with you today,” Felicia announced as she followed Ainsley into her bedroom after grabbing a glass of water. “I want to help out as much as possible, but if I get on your nerves at all, just tell me. I know I get a bit clingy and talkative, but I just can’t help it. So, I’m sorry if I get on your nerves at all.” Felicia’s face fell after she spoke and she looked down at the floor.

Ainsley noticed that there were some insecurities there, and she wanted to know what had happened in Felicia’s past. Were those people at the kick back Felicia’s friends? Or did she have other friends? It was apparent to Ainsley that Felicia often felt clingy, and she wondered if that had anything to do with the fact that it seemed like Felicia didn’t have very many friends. As much as Ainsley wanted to ask, she knew it would rude to pry, especially given the events that had just occurred a day prior.

Ainsley smiled as an idea crossed her mind – an idea that surely would make Felicia a lot happier and a lot more confident in her social life. But Ainsley didn’t say anything, she needed to call Jaime first and make sure it was okay with him, first.

Ainsley got in the shower, moving quickly as the excitement of her idea made her eager to call and verify her plans. She decided that, if her plans were to go through, she wanted to look her best, especially since she had felt herself getting comfortable with Jaime, and that meant her appearance was often lacking. She decided to wear a navy blue dress with white polka dots, and small triangle cut outs on the sides with a large, cream cardigan with the sleeves pushed up, a bundle of pearl bracelets, pearl earrings, cream-color crochet flats, and a beige purse. She did her make-up clean and elegant – a drastic, dark top-liner with red lipstick. Her hair was drying in its natural waves so she added a bit of texturizing cream to enhance the waves in her dark brown hair.

When she emerged from her bedroom, Felicia was shocked to see how dressed up Ainsley looked.

“My goodness! Ainsley, I think this is the first time I’ve seen you all dressed up and well, like the pictures,” Felicia’s fan-girl returned, emerging through her words. “I still can’t believe you’re dating Jaime. I can’t believe I know Jaime. And Jaime knows me,” she began to ramble to herself about how amazing this all was, and Ainsley couldn’t help but smile widely. “I just kind of forgot about how you guys are basically my idols. You’re so normal and just…chill.

Ainsley laughed a bit as she grabbed her keys from the inside of her purse. “Ready to go? We’ll grab breakfast at the bakery,” Ainsley said as she began to open the door.

Felicia hopped up quickly, asking Ainsley to wait a moment while she grabbed her shoes and purse from her new bedroom. She returned seconds later and the two were off.

Once at the bakery, Ainsley had one of her workers cook up a fresh batch of croissants for all of them to share. Ainsley excused herself for a moment, saying that she needed to do some paperwork, and slipped into the small office behind the break-room. She shut the door behind her and pulled out her cell phone.

Hey babe,” Jaime answered the call rather quickly. “How’s it going?”

“It’s great. I brought Felicia with me to the bakery this morning. She says she wants to help out around her until she’s old enough for me to actually hire her.”

Oh, that’s a great idea. Are you really going to hire her?”

“Yeah, most likely. She could help pay for groceries or something. And now that her father’s gone, she’s going to need some money for herself, you know?” Ainsley sighed, feeling sad at the thought of Jeric being gone. It still hadn’t really registered in her brain yet. “But, that’s not why I called. I have an idea to cheer Felicia up.”

How can I be of assistance?” Jaime asked through a large smile.

Ainsley was excited and happy for Jaime eagerness to help in making Felicia feel accepted and happy, and as Ainsley spilled her ideas to him, Jaime agreed to help make it happen, and even helped give Ainsley some ideas for future activities that they could do. When they hung up, Ainsley walked back into the front area of the bakery and saw Felicia smiling shyly as she picked off flakes of her croissant. She sipped on the coffee in front of her very gingerly as she quietly listened to the conversation that was happening amongst the two workers.

“Hey, Ains, we saved some for you,” one of the workers smiled warmly and pulled out the chair beside her – the chair right across from Felicia at the round table – and scooted a steaming coffee and small plate with a croissant on it. “Have a seat! Felicia told us about how you took her in and I just think it’s so great of you to do that.”

Ainsley was surprised that Felicia had opened up so quickly, but by the way that Felicia gave Lindy a reserved, weak smile, Ainsley knew that she had left out a few of the major details. “Yeah, it’ll be great to have some company around. And she’s going to be around here, too, helping out.”

“Oh yeah?” Ken beamed, his white teeth glowing as he gave Felicia a large smile. “Good, she’s nice,” Ken added as he bored his frosty, blue eyes into the side of Felicia’s head.

“Ken…” Ainsley warned. “At least wait until she’s your age.”

“How old are you?” Ken asked with a worried expression.

“Fifteen,” Felicia said softly.

“Oh, Ains, don’t even trip,” Ken rolled his eyes before turning to look at Felicia again. “I’m sixteen and a half. Not too far apart.”

Ainsley didn’t like the way Ken was looking at Felicia – she already felt way too protective over her, but she relaxed a little when Felicia didn’t seem to pay any attention to the way he was looking at her and trying to get her attention by flirting.

“So, Felicia,” Ainsley spoke up, “we’re only going to be here for a few hours today and then we’re going to go back home and back an overnight bag. Then I’m going to take you out for the night.”

“Why don’t you ever take me out?” Ken pouted, jutting out his bottom lip.

“Oh, hush hush,” Ainsley rolled her eyes. “Anyway, is that okay with you?”

“Where are we going?” Felicia asked, her voice a lot stronger now.

“You’ll see,” Ainsley winked and stood up, just in time to hear the bell chime from over the door, indicating their first customer of the day had entered.

Ainsley and Felicia staid at the bakery until noon, and then Ainsley went over a few things with Lindy and Ken before heading out, Felicia hot on Ainsley’s trail.

-

“Where are we going?” Felicia asked as she bounced up and down in the passenger’s seat. “Are we there yet?”

“No, we’re not there yet,” Ainsley laughed a bit. “Did you pack your bathing suit like I told you?”

Felicia nodded furiously. “Are we going to the beach?”

Ainsley shook her head, a smile spreading over her face. “Nope,” she said, popping the ‘p’.

Felicia gave up with a huff, but a smile still plastered across her face. She turned up the volume of the stereo where her iPhone was plugged in, playing Pierce the Veil through the car. She silently sang along to every word and Ainsley couldn’t help but sing along with her every now and then. She knew that this was going to help keep Felicia happy, and hopefully distract her from the changes in her life for a bit.

It only took another twenty minutes before they pulled up to a large, well-kept house in San Diego. Felicia was even more excited now; her suspicions becoming more and more confirmed as she noticed how Ainsley had grown more excited as well. Ainsley was sure that Felicia was going to figure it out sooner or later, but she still wanted the moment to be perfect.

They hoisted their over-night bags over their shoulders and Ainsley led the way to the front door. She knocked a couple of times before pushing the door open, Felicia breathing heavily behind her as they stepped into the house.

“Honey!” Ainsley called through the house. “We’re home!”

“They’re here!” A voice sounded from the kitchen. Footsteps could be heard through the house as the boys made their way across the tile floor.

When Vic, Mike, Tony, Jaime, Casey, and Malorie all came around the corner, Felicia dropped her backpack and fell to her knees, immediately covering her mouth in shock as tears filled her eyes. Her body was trembling as Vic quickly met her side, kneeling down beside her.

“Hey, hey, hey,” Vic said with a smile. “Why are you crying, Felicia?”

When Vic said her name, Felicia shuttered a bit, her nerves sending her emotions on overdrive. She hesitantly pulled one hand away from her mouth to reach out to Vic. She gently placed her fingertips on Vic’s cheek, pulling away quickly as soon as they made contact. “Oh my god, this is real,” she said through trembling breaths.

“Yep! Hope you don’t mind that we’re here,” Mike said with a smirk.

Felicia shook her head slowly, now turning her gave over to Mike. “I know I’ve talked to you guys on FaceTime, but man…you’re like here…In front of me…Real people…”

“How come you didn’t act like this when you saw me?” Jaime pouted a bit as he made his way over to Ainsley. He wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her close to his body, earning a small giggle to escape her lips.

“Nobody cares, Jaime,” Mike said as he waved his hand in his direction, a goofy smile spread from ear to ear.

Jaime rolled his eyes in response, turning his attention to Ainsley. Ainsley’s eyes were glued elsewhere, however. She was staring at Malorie who was hiding behind Casey, eyes down on her phone.

Jaime traced her gaze and then gave Ainsley a worried look. Ainsley shook her head, deciding not to bring any drama to the day that she had planned for Felicia.

“You look beautiful,” Jaime whispered into Ainsley’s ear, suddenly. She jumped at the contact of his lips to her ear. He gently nibbled on the flesh while his hand squeezed tighter onto her hip. “I need you,” Jaime whispered lowly.

Ainsley bit her lip and nodded, telling Jaime that she was his as long as he could get them alone. Although Jaime’s actions were sudden, Ainsley knew that this was bound to happen since they had been apart for so long and had only had sex once since his return. She wished that she could spend hours and hours in bed with him like they used to – she craved his body and she craved the intimacy – but she knew that, given the tragic and unexpected incidents that had occurred, that couldn’t happen for a while. So now they were going to have to resort to sneaking around to fufill their desires.

“Hey guys, we are going to run to the grocery store to get things for the barbeque, any requests?” Jaime asked. His voice was so casual and it seemed to flow so effortlessly – making it impossible for anyone to suspect that they really just wanted some alone time.

“Beer!” Mike said enthusiastically. “Corona and lime, please. Oh and those little Beer Salts that I like. You know which ones I’m talking about.”

Jaime nodded and then turned to look at the rest of the guys.

“Get me some Carne Asada. I’ll grill it up,” Tony offered. “And whiskey. Gotta have the whiskey.”

“Just make sure to grab some sodas and snacks. Maybe something that we can eat for breakfast tomorrow, too. Since there’s nothing in your house,” Vic laughed a bit.

Jaime rolled his eyes and then looked to Casey and Malorie.

“If there’s whiskey…I’m happy,” Casey said as he held his hands up with a content smile.

“I don’t need anything,” Mal said softly. Ainsley felt weird hearing her speak. It felt like she hadn’t talked to her in ages, and hearing her voice only made her miss her more and made her want to know why they hadn’t been talking as much. Was it really just because of that night? Or has Malorie replaced Ainsley with her new model friends? She shook the thoughts from her head and turned to look at Felicia.

“Need anything, hun?” Jaime asked with a smile.

Felicia was standing up now, keeping a little bit of distance from the guys. She had her arms wrapped over her abdomen as she curled into herself out of nervousness. “Um…I could really go for some potato salad and ginger ale.”

“You got it,” Jaime nodded. “We’ll be back in a bit.”

As soon as the two of them exited the house and entered Jaime’s car, Ainsley launched her body over to him, pulling his lips to hers in a hungry, eager kiss. Jaime immediately pulled Ainsley over to him so she was straddling him in the driver’s seat. His hands were already clawing their ways up her thighs and under her dress.

“Hey,” Jaime said with a chuckle as he pulled away. “We haven’t had sex in a car since the first night we hooked up.”

Ainsley smiled at the memory of the first night they ever really spent time together. She kissed down Jaime’s neck, laughing as she left small lipstick prints all along his skin. Jaime didn’t notice, he was too caught up in the feeling of Ainsley’s hips grinding against him as her lips hit his skin.

“Sneaking around is kind of thrilling, isn’t it?” Ainsley mumbled against his adam’s apple. Jaime moaned a bit at the vibrations of her voice. “We should do it more often,” she offered.

Jaime couldn’t say anything, the tension and want was too much for him to speak. While on tour he had no sexual release, and the want was growing and growing. But not just the want for any sexual release, he wanted Ainsley to be the one to bring him pleasure and intimacy. He craved and longed for her intimacy. When they weren’t meeting fans, playing, or doing interviews, he was thinking about Ainsley in every way possible. And now, now that he had her right in from of him, he needed to have her.

Ainsley noticed how weak Jaime was under her touch, and although he had always succumbed to her commands in the bedroom, this weakness was new to her. She saw in his eyes how much he wanted her to show him pleasure and love. Ainsley bit her own lip as she got lost in the sight of Jaime’s eyes. She was becoming weak and shy under his gaze, and because of this things slowed down and the eagerness turned to passion and appreciation.

Jaime lifted his hands up and slowly helped her to remove her cardigan so he could rub his hands over more of her skin. Ainsley pulled Jaime’s shirt off and immediately ran her fingertips across his chest, feeling as much skin as she possibly could.

Their lips met once again in a heated kiss – the windows of the car were beginning to fog. Ainsley was somewhat thankful for the fog that way it would be harder for anyone to see inside the vehicle. They were parked along the curb in the middle of the day – leaving it open for anybody to walk by and easily see what was going on.

Jaime reluctantly pulled his hands away from her shoulders and reached down to gently palm himself through his jeans – the tension was becoming uncomfortable for him. Ainsley noticed this and replaced his hands with her own. She popped open the button and slowly pulled down the zipper. Ainsley pulled his pants and boxers down just enough to expose his erection. As soon as she wrapped her hand around him, he groaned and bucked his hips forward just a bit. His hands reached under her dress, his fingers eagerly pulling her underwear aside.

“Come here,” Jaime said softly as he pulled Ainsley’s body tightly against his. She gasped a bit at the sudden movement, and then let out a soft, breathless moan as Jaime wasted no time in pushing himself into her. She kept her eyes locked on Jaime’s as he moved his body. He kept his hands on her hips, helping her to move her own body up and down to meet each of his thrusts.

“Fuck,” Jaime cursed and tossed his head back into the seat, the pleasure quickly taking over his body. Ainsley moved her body forward so she was resting against Jaime. She rested her hand on his shoulders while she buried her face into the crook of his neck. She gently began to bite on the skin to silence her moans.

“I can’t hold off much longer,” Jaime groaned into her ear as he tried to keep himself from going fast and finishing himself off.

“Just a bit longer,” Ainsley pleaded as she continued to moan against his skin. Jaime couldn’t wait much longer, he thrust himself into her, much harder than before, triggering Ainsley’s orgasm quickly. Jaime pulled out of her before he could finish.

“Babe,” Jaime groaned, looking down at himself. She knew what he wanted, so she quickly moved back over to the passenger’s seat and leaned over the center console, bringing her mouth down to his member to finish him off.

Jaime held on to her hair as she moved her head up and down, her tongue swirling around him as her cheeks sucked over his shaft. Jaime groaned and began to gently move his hips up to meet her mouth, but careful enough to not choke her or hurt her. She worked her hands over him as she moved her head. Jaime ‘s body stiffened a bit as he groaned and finished in her mouth.

-

When they returned back to the house after doing their grocery shopping, they saw all of the boys sitting in the backyard around the barbeque while Malorie and Felicia were laying out beside the pool. Ainsley was happy to see Felicia and Malorie spending time together, but she also felt a bit jealous.

“You should join them,” Jaime whispered into Ainsley’s ear. “And you have to tell me what’s going on later.”

Ainsley gulped, but gave him a hesitant nod. She walked into Jaime’s room to change into her bikini, but the whole time she was worried about what she would say to Jaime. Was it the time to tell him the truth about what had happened that night at Brett’s house? Or should she just let it blow over? There had been no sightings of the pictures since Malorie had shown her them, and there had been no problems with Brett since that night. Ainsley was certain that the pictures had disappeared from her life, and she intended on keeping it that way. And by telling Jaime about them, that would only bring them back.

Ainsley walked out to the poolside and stood next to Malorie while she was tapping around her phone screen. “Can we talk?” Ainsley asked. She was going to put this tension to rest and get her friendship back.

Malorie stood up without a word and followed Ainsley into the house. She walked into the kitchen, shutting the sliding glass door behind them while Malorie pulled out two beers. She handed one over to Ainsley after she popped the lids off.

“Listen, Mal, I miss you like crazy and I just want to know what’s come between us. We’re sisters and we shouldn’t be ignoring each other like this. I just need to know why.” Ainsley didn’t want to beat around the bush anymore, she needed to know everything that was wrong.

Malorie shrugged. “I just…I was a bit shocked after I saw those pictures that Parker sent me and when you didn’t have anything to say about them…I don’t know.” She stopped talking rather quickly. She ran a hand through her blonde hair and sighed.

“There’s obviously something on your mind. Tell me, Malorie. Don’t keep shit from me.”

“Are you cheating on Jaime?” she asked in a rushed whisper. “I just…you’re family to me…but Jaime is family to Casey, and I just…I can’t do that to him. I can’t keep that secret from him.”

Ainsley was shocked at her question. She felt that she could burst into tears on the stop. Would Malorie really believe that she was cheating on Jaime? Did those pictures really make her jump to those conclusions? Ainsley was never a cheater – for anything. She never cheated on a test. She never cheated on homework. She never cheated in anything or on anyone. She despised cheaters, in fact. Relationships, sex, and intimacy had always been a sacred thing to Ainsley. She didn’t believe in one-night stands or being unfaithful. She didn’t believe in meaningless relationships. She only agreed to date people that she saw some sort of a future with.

Jaime was the only exception to one of her beliefs, but Ainsley had excused herself from that incident because they were together now. Sleeping with Jaime before they were together or even really knew each other was something that she didn’t necessarily regret now, but when it happened she felt dirty. But now, she was glad it happened that way. Somehow it had made their relationship stronger, and she knew that because of their shared intimacy and affection that she could never willingly cheat on Jaime.

“Do I seriously have to answer that?” Ainsley replied, anger taking her over.

“Yes,” Malorie breathed. “I hate to ask…but I-“

“No!” Ainsley nearly shouted. She looked around to make sure nobody could hear their conversation, and thankfully nobody even noticed that they were sitting in the kitchen. They were all talking to Felicia, taking pictures with her, laughing, and finishing up the food. “Mal, you know me better than anybody on this planet. You know exactly how I feel about cheating and relationships. Never assume that about me again.”

Malorie cracked an impressed smile.

“Why are you smiling?” Ainsley asked, her anger still evident.

“You’re so much stronger than before,” Malorie said. “You’re more confident and bolder…and you have more sex appeal.”

Ainsley immediately felt herself relax. She softened her features and gave rolled her eyes. “What, are you checking me out?”

Malorie smiled widely and walked around the island in the kitchen to wrap her arms around her best friend tightly. “I’ve missed you so much, Ainakin,” she said with a smile.

“You too, Darth Mal,” Ainsley said with the same smile plastered on her face. They held on to each other for a good five minutes before Ainsley could feel eyes boring into the back of her head. She slowly pulled away and looked out the window to see Jaime looking through the window from by the grill, a huge smile plastered on his lips.

Is everything okay?’ he mouthed to her while the rest of the boys were busy telling some story to Felicia.

Ainsley nodded with a smile in return before shyly pushing a lose strand of hair behind her ear.

“You love him, don’t you?” Malorie asked with a smile still on her face. “I can see it in your eyes, Ains. You’ve never been so confident, comfortable, and open with someone like this before.”

Ainsley blushed immensely before biting her lip. Did she love Jaime? Even though she couldn’t admit it out loud, deep down she knew that the way her heart burned for him was love – or the beginnings of love. She knew that Jaime was different from anyone she had ever been with, or anyone she had ever known. She knew that Jaime could, very easily, be in her life…forever.

“I don’t know, Mal,” Ainsley said softly. “But I think I do.”

Malorie smiled widely before hugging her again. “This is probably an interesting sight. Too girls in bikinis…hugging in the middle of a kitchen…” Malorie laughed as she pulled away again. “Let’s go back out there, sister.”

“Okay, sister,” Ainsley agreed. They locked hands and walked out of the kitchen and back into the backyard.

“Ainsley!” Felicia said, happily. She wasn’t so shy anymore – her bubbly, talkative self had returned now that she was more comfortable with the guys. Ainsley could still see the fan-girl in her by the way her eyes were always wide, and her hands shook at the slightest. “Take a picture with me!” Felicia stood beside Ainsley, holding her phone out in front of them. Ainsley smiled wide for the picture.

“Here, let me take one of you guys,” Jaime offered, setting his beer down to grab the phone from Alicia.

“Malorie, get in here,” Felicia said, waving her hand over.

The three of them stood in a line, Felicia in the middle. They were all wearing their bikinis and they all had the most genuine smiles on their faces. “You guys look great!” Jaime said after snapping the picture. “Now go jump in the pool, and I’ll take a picture of it!”

The girls all walked over the edge of the deep end, but paused to stare at the water. Felicia dipped her toes in to test it and pulled away. “Jaime, its freezing! Turn the pool heater on!” she demanded.

“Oh come on,” Jaime groaned. “At least make it look like you’re about to jump.”

“Here, let’s all hold hands and he can take a picture of us from behind like we’re about to jump,” Malorie suggested. They agreed and locked hands. “Okay, we’re ready!”

“One…two…three!” Jaime called. Right when he said three, there was a fit of laughter from the guys, and before any of the girls could turn around to see what the commotion was about, a pair of hands pushed Ainsley forward, forcing her into the pool. Since her hands were locked with the other girls, they had no choice but to fall in with her, all squealing as their bodies hit the water.

Ainsley resurfaced with a large grin and a quivering lip. “Jaime!” she scolded.

Jaime was holding up his own phone as he crouched down beside the pool. He held the camera up to her face, recording a video for instagram.

“I hate you,” Ainsley said with a smile still on her face.

“No, you know that’s not true,” Jaime laughed.

“I know,” Ainsley laughed. “Quite the opposite, actually.”

“Give me a kiss,” Jaime insisted as he turned the camera so they were both in the frame now. Ainsley swam closer to the edge of the pool. “Don’t pull me in.”

“I won’t,” Ainsley laughed. She puckered her lips up to him, and as Jaime craned his neck down, Ainsley quickly pulled back and splashed him with a bit of water, careful to only hit his shirt and not get his phone wet. Before he could protest, Ainsley grabbed onto the edge of the pool and pushed herself up to meet his lips in a quick kiss, just in time for the time to be up on the video.

“I’m putting that on instagram,” Jaime mumbled against her lips.

“Whatever,” Ainsley chuckled. “Now everybody can see how evil you are for pushing me in the pool.”

Jaime laughed and kissed the tip of her nose before pushing her head back down so slid back down and full submerged herself into the pool.

“Food’s done! Let’s eat!” Tony announced as she closed the lid to the barbeque. Jaime helped Ainsley out of the water, handing her a towel to dry off.

“I’m not so evil, now, am I?” Jaime asked as he wrapped his arms around Ainsley’s middle after she had wrapped the towel around her body.

“No,” she laughed. She leaned in and pressed her lips to his. “You’re perfect.”

Notes

Ainsley's Outfit

Hey guys, I'm trying to get better with updating in a timely manner. It's just difficult with a million stories ahah. Guess I did that to myself, though. Woops! I just love writing stories and always have so many ideas and I just love to share them and yeah.

What do you guys think about Felicia spending time at the bakery? What about her relationship with Ainsley? How do you guys feel about Ainsley's talk with Malorie? And what about those pictures?

I love hearing your reactions and responses and suggestions! They make me so happy. Thank you all so much for reading, it means the world to me. You're so wonderful and make me so happy and yeah.

I've started two new stories (I know I already have a million), but I will not be uploading them until I finish a couple on here. One of the two will be out fairly soon, however. And it will be different from everything else that I've written. Not in the content or the style, necessarily but...you'll just see what I mean when it comes out :) haha. So yeah. I'll let you know when they're out :)

ALSO, I want you to all do me a favor and go read this story by the wonderful no-this-is-patrick. Her story is called Perspective and it's absolutely amazing. It's a Mike story, but also has a lot of Jaime in it. She's also going to be using me as one of her characters (I get to be with Tony *drools*), so yeah, definitely check it out! It doesn't have enough readers for how amazing the story is. It makes me angry, because it's seriously one of my favorite stories of all time. Go read it and comment! Thanks! :)

LOVE YOU ALL. <3

Incredible story!!! Actually reread it right after I finished.
Please update again soon!

This story is so amazing. I love your writing and creativity with the characters. Ainsley is so relatable as a person, I love her relationship with Jaime and friendship with mal and the guys.

It's cool that she has such a motherly instinct even with her family or lack thereof. I wonder what was bothering Jaime and if we'll ever find out what happened that night with Bret.

Thanks so much for the story!!
