Mad in Love

I woke up the next morning and felt amazing. Being single for so long made me kind of sad. I had forgotten how glorious it felt to be in a relationship. I stood up and turned on the coffee pot. Mike woke up shortly after. "Good morning beautiful!" Mike said with a smile on his handsome face. I hugged him. "Good morning," I didn't have work again so it was a pretty chill day. Mike didn't have anything to do either. Great! We could spend the whole day together. Excitement filled my body. We ate homemade pancakes and drank coffee. "Oh shit," Mike exclaimed. "What's wrong?" I asked. He thought for a second before answering. "I forgot that this isn't my house. I don't have anything to wear except what I have on now!" He laughed. His laugh was contagious. I started giggling. Mike decided to go to his house to get ready and then he would come back to mine. "Okay, see you in a few," I said as he left. My shy heart fluttered. I hopped in the shower quickly. When I was done, I picked out an outfit. Black converse, a tie dye Pierce The Veil sweatshirt, and black jeans. I brushed my hair and tied it back into a top knot. I looked at my septum piercing and decided to change it. I put in a circular barbell ring, grabbed my phone, and headed downstairs. Mike rang my doorbell. I let him in. "So, where should we go?" I asked. "Hold on, you look adorable. We should take a selfie together," He said. I gave out a small laugh. "Okay babe," He took a cute photo of us and posted it on Instagram. "Maybe we could go the movies?" Mike suggested. "Sure!" I said. Mike decided to drive. I went on Instagram to see our picture while we were stuck in traffic. I liked it and then instantly started looking at the comments. People were commenting either "Aww!" or "Are they dating?" But I didn't mind. Then I realized I had gotten a DM. I never usually get them, especially from random people. Normally it would just be Kylie sending me a meme or a makeup post or something band related. It was from a user named @ava.williams and it said: Who the fuck do you think you are? Mike is MY boyfriend. I don't know you are, but I will find you and when I do, it's not going to be pretty. I was shocked for a minute. Was Mike in another relationship? "Hey babe?" "Yeah?" I prepared myself. "Are you in another relationship with someone named Ava?" Mike's face became red. I could feel his heart dropping from my seat. "What the fuck? Oh my god. No. I promise. We ended things a long time ago," His expression became angry. Anxiety filled my whole body. "Are you upset with me?" I said sensitively. "No. She's a bitch. She was awful to me and everyone I knew." I wanted to know more. "Explain." "Okay, so Ava and I met on the Collide With The Sky tour a long time ago. It was love at first sight. We started to become friends and than became a couple. But, I noticed something strange. She always looked at my text messages and became very clingy. Than out of no where, she cheated on me! I couldn't believe it! So, I ended things with her, but she still texts me saying she wants to get back together. It's annoying. I bet she's jealous of us. Just know that I love you more than I ever loved her." "Wow, that's crazy..." My voice trailed off. We arrived at the movies. We were seeing Vacation even though it came out a while ago. It was pretty good, but I couldn't get the thought of Ava out of my mind. What a bitch. Mike didn't deserve to be cheated on. I just hoped that nothing bad happened. And even though Mike told me to forget about it, the thought of Ava was in my head for the rest of the day. We drove to my house after the movie was over. It was only about 2:30. I took the thought of Ava out of my mind. Mike dropped me off. I gave him a kiss and said goodbye. I walked inside my house and plopped down on the couch. It had been a very, VERY eventful day.
