A Flair for the Dramatic

Dinner Date

Aaron was gone and now I sat patiently waiting for Tony to arrive. I waited downstairs in the living room for him. Dad walked down the stairs and did a double take when he saw me.

“Um, I know you’re all grown and everything, but where are you going dressed like that.” He asked.

“To a restaurant.” I answered.

“With Vic?” He asked almost excited.

“No.”

“Mike?”

“No way.”

“Who?”

“Tony.”

“Is that the guy that just pulled into my drive way?”

I looked out the window and saw Tony’s car, “Yes.”

“So you’re done with Aaron already? That was pretty quick.”

“What?”

He laughed, “Just messing with you. Have fun.”

I shook my head and walked out the door before Dad made one last comment.

“And don’t bring back any babies!”

Tony was now leaning on the passenger side of his car waiting for me. He opened the door for me and we were on our way.

I smiled as I settled in to the seat and looked Tony over. He looked adorable, I couldn’t handle it.

“How’s school going for you?” Tony asked.

“Um, its alright. I’m trying to finish as soon as I can so I can come home… So what happened with your last band?”

“Differences. End of story. Can I ask you something?”

“Yeah sure.”

“Did you and Mike date?”

I started to snicker and then I full out laughed.

“What’s so funny?”

“Mike and I? Noo, never, he’s just a friend.”

“Are you sure? You two seem awfully close.”

“His shoulder is mine to cry on. I’ve been through a lot, he’s the brother I never had.”

Soon after Tony pulled up to the restaurant’s parking lot. It was a cute little Mexican restaurant. I definitely overdressed. Either way I couldn’t wait to go inside and get my grub on. Once were inside it went from cute to holy crap this was fancy.

“Wow.”

“I’ve got to make a good first impression.” Tony teased.

I laughed and we were shown our seats. I looked over the menu and couldn’t make up my mind. With that, I decided to start taking peeks over at Tony. Boyfriend or no boyfriend, Tony was possibly the most adorable guy I’ve seen. He had a few tattoos, some were now covered and had his ears stretched. I personally hate gauges, but Tony made them look awesome. He was younger than I was, but it didn’t bother me much. I was only used to dating guys- woah, slow down Keri. This is just a friendly date-dinner. Oh fuck it, I want this guy underneath me,

“You do know it’s not polite to stare,” Tony said.

I chuckled nervously, “So, what made you think about getting your ears stretched?”

“You don’t care for them?” Tony asked touching his ears.

“No, not really, but on you, yes. I’m okay with small ones where I can’t put a finger or my whole fist through.

This time Tony laughed.

“I can promise you, I wouldn’t stretch them enough for you to put your fist through them.”

“Thank god. Oh by the way, I feel the need to emphasize how great you look tonight.”

“Thanks.”

“Godlike almost.” I teased.

“Stop,” Tony said blushing.

“I feel like I should be serenading you right now.”

“Really Keri?”

“Yes. I’ve never seen you so dressed up. You clean up quite nicely. I’m pretty sure you have girls falling for you all the time.”

“There is one.”

There goes my chance, well if I had a chance that is.

“Who?”

“You.”

“Oh?”

“I’m not the type to say dump your boyfriend and be with me, but, dump your boyfriend and be with me. I know it sounds dumb, because you’re going back to school when your break is over, but what the hell. And what are you doing with that guy anyways? Anyone can tell he’s a dick and is probably using you for your looks.”

“A year and some months of using me for my looks, I don’t think so. And he’s not so bad, yeah, he can be a little cocky every now and then but when you get to know him he’s a sweetheart.”

“Just think about it.”

I like Tony and he did have a point in there. I did plan on going back to school, so was this enough to throw my relationship away? I’d have to really think on this one.

Notes

I was able to update yes! Big thanks to my editor Sarah, couldn't have updated today without her. So now that Keri is playing this dangerous game where do you think she'll end up? See you next week!
