Girl With Kaleidoscope Eyes

Chapter One

Andee had just clocked into work when her manager told her where her station was and that Allison, the hostess, just set a group in her section. She quickly tied her apron around her thin waist and grabbed a pen and paper before grabbing 6 menus and walked to their tables.

"Thank you for choosing South Beach Bar & Grille, my name is Andee and I can start you off with some drinks." She said as her blue eyes shined along with her smile.

One by one, Andee's customers rattled off what they wanted and she smiled again as she told them she'll be right back with their drinks. She turned on her heel and walked to the bar in the center of the sitting area. Andee told the bartender, Micah, the drink orders and when she was back with a tray, the drinks were waiting for her.

"And a blue moon for the gentleman all the way at the end." Andee said, as she handed the beer to the rightful owner. "Do we all know what we want to eat or need a few minutes?"

"Um, what would you recommend for an appetizer?" A beautiful blonde woman asked as she looked at Andee.

"My personal favorites are the Peel and Eat Shrimp and the Jose Cocktail. However, if you want to play it safe our Chips and Salsa and Nachos Supreme are out of this world." Andee replied professionally.

"I think we'll try the Peel and Eat Shrimp and Nachos Supreme." She said with a smile. "As for entree's, we'll need a few minutes."

Andee quickly wrote down the appetizers they chose, smiled again, and walked away to put their appetizers in.

Today was the first beautiful and cloudless day after 3 days of overcast and slight rain, so Andee and her coworkers were jammed packed and running around like crazy. But with sports on every TV and breezy music on the speakers, Andee didn't bat an eye. By the time Andee clocked out, at 9 PM, she had pocketed over 300 dollars in tips.

"Bye, Andee, see you tomorrow!" Her coworker, and friend, Danielle said as Andee returned the apron and pen and pad and grabbed her purse.

It was Friday night and she knew her phone would be blown up with messages from her friends. Friday night was their clubbing/bar hopping night and she knew she'd have about an hour and a half to get ready as soon as she stepped foot into her apartment. Andee climbed into her Toyota Rav4 and felt herself get excited, she lived for Friday nights with her friends.

Notes

What do you guys think? It's like 9:30 PM here and this just popped into my mind as my son and I watched that 70s show.

I would love feed back, so please subscribe and comment. I welcome criticism, especially if it makes my writing, grammar, and/or story even better!
