10 Things You Need To Know

.6

Ginanina

My mother would have loved you.

She was a beautiful soul, and she was into music, just like you. She loved to sing, and would always sing to my father who she loved more than anything. They were twenty years old when they got together and twenty-three when they married. I always thought they would be together for a long time.

It's crazy how somethings can be taken away in an instant.

When I was just fourteen, my mother and father were frustrated about some reason they didn't want me to know about. All they told me was to just try and stay safe wherever I was at. Eventually, I learned the hard way on what exactly it was they were saying.

My mother had a very jealous ex-boyfriend, Ian, an ex who she left to go with my father. When I was born, my father moved my mother and I out of the Florida and into the Texas suburbs where it was supposed to be peaceful. But anyway, Ian couldn't let go of the past and he soon discovered my family's location.

Ian shot my mother in her head while my father was at work and while I was at school. One of the neighbors nearby called 9-1-1, but the doctors could hardly do anything to help her.

When my father and I came in contact with Ian in the courtroom where he was given a life sentence, he threatened that he would find a way to "finish the job."

My father never re-married, and spent many holidays without his wife. I spent mine without my mother. I spent my graduation without her, and she couldn't see there to watch me go to prom.

It's been about ten years, but Jesus, it still hurts.
