Going Back To the Past

The night went on the cook out, was great. I was eating hot dogs with people that were in bands that I adored. Alex love it too I think most of the time he was glued to the boys, but the liked showing him around. I think secretly the thought it was cool having someone that loved them as much as someone could. I spent my time going around and talking to as many people as possible. I spent a lot of time with the Of Mice and Men gang. they were really cool.

"So Anna how do you know Pierce the Veil so well that they invited you out here?" Austin asked
"I grew up with Mike and Vic, And I just kind of ran into them today. so we decided to hang out."
"Oh that's cool, I usually look the other way when I see people from high school, all of a sudden I ended up having all these "great" friends from high school" Valentino mentioned.
"No it's not like that, we were actually friends growing up. I and Vic were really close."
"Dude you guys did you see their set?" Alan asked
"Wait are the girl?" Austin then asked.
Everyone looked at each other then back to me, my face got red and they could tell that I felt uncomfortable. "Um yea I am, I didn't know about all of that til today actually."
"That's crazy imagine you could be married to Vic right now."

This was the first time today that I had actually thought about How my life you be if I didn't leave San Francisco like I did. Looking back I would have said yes to him then. but I wouldn't have met Mark or any of my friends in Seattle. Oh, shit Mark because of all the excitement of today I haven't be able to tell him what happened today.

"I was cool hanging with you guys but I have to go make a phone call, I'll see you around," I said to the gang. I got up and went and sat at an empty picnic table, that was kind of out of the way from everyone else. I called Mark.

"Hey, man," He said as he answered the phone.
"Dude you will never believe what happened today."
"Please do tell." He sounded excited.
I then proceeded to spill my guts about everything, Vic on stage, the signing, and hanging out with them, Everything.
"Well, it sounds like it has been really eventful."
"Hell, yea it has been."
"What are you going to do about it all." He asked
"I don't know, I'm just going to leave it as us being friends."
"What if you guys become more?"
"Mark this isn't high school, we can just be friends."
"You guys had sex last time you saw each other."
"That was then this is now." As I said this Alex sat down beside of me. "Mark I have to fo I'll call you in the morning." I then hung up the phone.

"Hey, kido what's happening?" I asked
''nothing the guys are heading back to the RV with a few other people, I just wanted to see if you wanted to go with?"
"Na you go have fun just don't drink please."
"Are you sure it's going to be fun."
"Na I want to talk to a few more people I'll catch up with you later."

Alex got up from the table and walked over to a group of people most of them I didn't recognize but all of the Pierce the Veil guys were there, so it was okay. I didn't actually want to talk to anyone else at the moment, I just wanted some time to myself, so I could clear my head. What better way to clear your head than a walk.

I found myself walking amusingly around this empty parking lot. some of the bands had already left so was a small portion of the parking lot the was free of people. You could still hear music and people having a good time, but this was as alone that I was going to get. Just when I thought this I heard a voice.

"What are you doing out here alone?" It was Vic, he was alone.
"trying to get kidnapped and killed.'' I joked.
"I was being serious, I was felt bad for leaving you at the cookout alone, so I went back for you and you were gone. For a moment I thought you have left."
"I couldn't have left Alex was with you guys."
"True, Anna I'm sorry about all of this."
"What do you mean?" I asked
"Well everything really, high school, last month and today, everything. Today day on stage I didn't know you were here, you weren't supposed to find out about the ring or anything."
"No, it's okay, you.."
"Stop saying it's okay, everything I have ever done, you always write it off like it doesn't bother you."
"Vic , I don't know what you want me to say then."
" I want you to tell me what you are really thinking."
"Fine, I don't care what happened in high school that was in the past we were different people. I only care about the now, Vic last month I let my guard down, and I know that you didn't mean to hurt me but you did. Vic I really like you, I have always liked you. Us being friends really scares me."
"There's nothing to be scared of nothing will happen between us.''
"That's what I'm afraid of, I want us to be together but I know that can't happen."
"Really?" he asked.
I just looked at the ground, He put his arms around me. "If you really want we can be more than friends"
I broke the hug "No we can't Vic we have different lives, I have a job and a life in Seattle you have a band and tours to go on."
"You can move back to San Diego, the go on tour with us until you find a job. Which I don't think would be that hard you're a nurse."
"Vic we are not 18 anymore, I can't just pick up and move again. And I'm not letting you move to Seattle, you need to be in California with the band."
''We are taking a month off before our next tour, so I can stay in Seattle as see how things go, And it's going to be a short tour in Australia I won't be gone for that long."
"What if we don't work out?"
"Then we can just be friends, actual friends this time."
"With no hard feelings?"
"None"
"Okay"
