Going Back To the Past

After filling our water bottles, we made our way to what I presumed to be the merch tables. "Alex, can you go ahead and tell me where we are going?"
"Well, we are already here. "
We were standing in front of Pierce the Veil's merch table, There was a small lined that had formed, which we were now standing in.
"I don't understand you're going to buy me something?'' I asked
"No I have tickets to the signing, WE ARE GOING TO MEET THEM!" Alex practically yelled at me.
"Wait is this the surprise?"
"YES, Isn't it great."
"Yea it sure is."

What the actually fuck. I love Alex like a little brother but I could kill him right now. I couldn't face them, not after what Vic said on stage. Alex also doesn't know about my past with them. It just never came up before I left for San Diego, Then afterward the only person I told what happen to was Mark. "Here you are going to need this," Alex said while putting a wristband on my wrist. by the time he put the wristband on the line started to move. I could see the table where the boys were. I froze Before I couldn't resist Alex had a hold of my are dragging me in the waiting area.

Everything was happening so fast, There was nothing I could do about it. Maybe if I go through the line and don't make eye contact they won't notice me. This was my only option at this point. Suddenly time stopped.

"Anna?" I knew the voice not well but I still knew it. It was Jaime. He was the first one you come to when Approaching the table. Alex looked up from the guys to me in shock. "Hey, you guys..." Jaime started to say. Before he could finish I started to run. I didn't know where I was going But anywhere was better than there.

I was pretty far away when I realized I left Alex at the signing. "Shit I seriously had one job today and I've fucked that up," I said out loud. After getting a few looks from others I decided that I need to find Alex. When we first came in I told him if we got separated to meet at the huge inflatable sign at the front of the grounds.

It looks me about five minutes to navigate my way through crowds and get to the inflatable. Across from it sat Alex on a picnic table. "Hey man," I said as I walked up to him.
"Here this is yours." He handed me a Pierce the Veil shirt that had been signed.
"I'm sorry about what happened.'' I started
"Anna they knew you. How did they know you? Vic even wrote his number and told me to tell you that he wanted to talk to you."

I looked down at the shirt, there was his number, along with a note saying that he was sorry. I ended up telling Alex everything, from high school to my trip. He silently sat there as I told my story. when I was finished he looked up at the ground and said, "Anna Vic wanted to marry you."
"Yea I know, I didn't know till today, that's why I was crying when we left the pit."
"So what are you going to do about it," he asked
"Nothing I told myself that I was going to leave the past and Live in today. Vic is just a ghost from the past that happens to haunt me today."
"Anna you can't do that, you have to deal with it. He is really upset over you."
"Alex I tried to take care of it when I went back to San Diego, and all it brought me was pain."
"Would you have said yes if you asked before you left San Francisco?"
"What?"
"Would you have married him?"
"Alex, I don't know what I would have done, I was a different person."
"Would you say yes now?"

I just sat thinking, Would I have said yes in San Francisco, Hell would I say yes now. Vic was my first love. "See you didn't say no right off the bat, that means deep down you still have some type of feelings for him." Was Alex right? I still care about Vic but I can't still love him. Or could I. No matter what I felt Alex was right I needed to do something about it.

I looked down at my phone, "What time is the signing over?" I asked.
"We were close to the end so I'm guessing that it's over now."
I took the shirt and phone in the other and started to type in Vic's number. I sat there with it typed in for a minute before hitting the call button. When I did all of my insides felt like they had dropped out of my body.

The phone rang a few times before someone answered."Hello" I Said
"Annabel you actually called. I was afraid that the kid I gave the shirt to didn't actually know you.'' Vic said with a small laugh.
''Yea his name is Alex, He's practically a little brother at this point."
"Can we meet somewhere I want to talk. I feel like we have a lot that needs to be discussed."
"Yea but Alex has to come with me."
"It's fine you can come to the bus the guys would love to entertain him."
"Okay, that sounds good."
"I will send someone to the gate to get you guys." Vic then hung up the phone.

"So?" Alex asked.
"You'll find out in a bit."
