I Thought I'd Never See The Day That You'd Smile At Me
Another week had passed and me and Vic had not spoken since the encounter that night in New York. I pretty much gave up by this point. We were in Orlando, Florida. I was pretty excited to play Orlando, it was always sunny and had a happy feeling. The show was going to be great, we had a feeling. We hadn't told the guys about the tour yet but we were gonna do it soon since we only have 1 month left of Warped. I finally got out of my bunk and go get ready for the day.
I changed into a black and white stripey playsuit. My hair was beginning to fade so I began to think of new designs for myself. I haven't actually done much to it since I grew out my baby bangs but it I really need a change. I pulled on my docs and fixed my make-up. My hair was in a high ponytail and I smiled at myself. "Looking goooood" I laughed at myself in the mirror. "I need out" I shook my head and left the bathroom. I headed towards the front of the bus and picked up my phone. I checked twitter and seen I had a DM from Josh. 'What's the plans for tour Hayles?' He asked. I smiled and typed in my phone. 'Not sure yet, I'll hit you up asap. We start on October 23rd, all I know' I replied. I stuffed my phone in my pocket.
I had no idea where I was going or what I was gonna do but I didn't wanna lay around the bus all day until our show. I walked out into the Florida air and smiled. Warped life is something I've always enjoyed but it's beginning to take it's toll on me. This whole Vic thing was taking its toll on me. I closed my eyes and breathed in. "Hey" I heard from infront of me. I opened my eyes and seen Austin infront of me. I smiled widely at him and walked into his open arms. "Austin" I mumbled happily into his chest. "What's up kid?" He asked and pulled back to look at me. "Just chilling, need something to do I'm bored" I groaned. "Oh, wanna come hang on the Sirens bus?" Austin grinned. I haven't really seen Austin for a bit. "Sure, I've missed they guys" I smiled. "Oh, there's a lil surprise" Austin smiled and led me to Sleepings bus.
I heard a chorus of 'oohs' and 'ahhs' as me and Austin climbed onto the bus. I walked into the living area and seen Kellin sitting with a baby girl on his knee, a woman next to him. Jesse and Justin. I smiled as Kellin looked up at me and Austin. "Hayley" He said. "Kells" I smiled back. "This is my wifre Katelynne and my daughter Copeland" He smiled and introduced me. "Wow, finally. I've heard many cute stories" I smiled and hugged Katelynne. "Yeah, well it's awesome to meet you. Big Paramore fan so it's awesome to finally get to meet ya, after Kellin told me about you guys hanging out I've been dying to get here" She grinned at me. "Oh, that's adorable. Thank you, come by our set later?" I asked. "Definitely, I'm very excited to see you guys" She smiled and kissed Copeland on the head. "Wow, Kellin she looks so much like you, it's adorable" I beamed and kneeled down infront of Kellin. "She's my baby girl" He kissed her head. Copeland began to reach out for me. I looked at Kellin and he smiled. "She wants you" He held her out to me. I looked at Katelynne and she nodded. I pulled Copeland into my arms and smiled. "Hey, you're super beautiful lil girl" I said to her standing up. She giggled and cuddled into me. I looked at Kellin and he smiled. "You look sweet with her" He said with a low voice. I smiled. "Yeah, it's super cute" Austin said with a smile. I blushed slightly and began to bounce Copeland on my hip and she gurgled away.
Half an hour passed and me and Cope were still playing on the floor of the bus together. Katelynne went to get coffee, Austin was sitting near me on his phone, taking pictures of us. Kellin watched from a far. Jesse and Justin had left to go see some bands. I gave her a toy she had thrown away about twelve hundred times already and she squealed with happiness. "Aw Cope you're so cute" Kellin said watching us. I heard footsteps climb the bus and assumed it was Katelynne. "What happened to, 'Copeland will never go to Warped' Kellin?" Tonys voice made my head shoot up. I grinned at him and he stuck his tongue out. Then I noticed him walk away from the door and reveal Vic. He looked at me and Copeland. I put my head down and played with her more. "Oh man, shut up, she's here to see her daddy okay" Kellin said to Tony and laughed. I decided to stand up and pick Copeland up. I got an idea. "Um, I'm gonna take Cope for a little walk, give you some time with Katelynne when she gets back" I smiled at Kellin. "Hayley, that's so sweet, thank you" Kellin stood up and hugged me and kissed Copelands head.
I grabbed Copelands backpack and slid past Tony and Vic. Copeland cuddled into me and I kissed her head. She really took a shine to me. I was halfway across the parking lot when I heard a voice shout my name. I turned around and seen Vic running towards me. My heart began to beat fast and I sighed. "Yes?" I asked trying to sound uninterested. "Wait up" He said breathelessly as he stopped infront of me. I looked at him and he just walked up and took the backpack off me. "What're you doing?" I asked confused. "Coming to the park with you" He smiled. I raised an eyebrow. "Okay, um why?" I asked. "Because, I'm your boyfriend and I've been really sucky at showing it recently. I'm sorry" He said looking into my eyes. Copeland grabbed his shirt and put it in her mouth. I laughed lightly and looked up at him. "You've got a lot to explain and to make up for... better get started" I whispered with a small smile.
We sat in a nearby park on a blanket on the grass. Copeland sat infront of us with a toy, playing away. I looked up and seen Vic looking at me. "What?" I asked getting frustrated with him staring at me. "You're utterly beautiful" He whispered. "Why did you freak out when I said I love you?" I asked quickly. He sighed and looked down. "I don't know, it seemed really soon and I didn't wanna say it and not mean it then I just avoided you because I was embarrassed at how I acted. Then I said I loved you in New York. It was too weird and dramatic so that adds to the embarrassment. I'm sorry" He explained. I smacked his arm. "Ow, what was that for?" He whined. "You're an idiot" I moaned. "I know I am but you can't help but love me" He stuck his tongue out at me. "Shut it" I said pushing him down. He sat up and kissed me quickly. "I love you Hayley" He whispered and looked in my eyes. "I love you too" I whispered back.
Vic picked up Copeland and I picked up her toy and blanket. We walked back to the bus and climbed on. "My baby has returned" Kellin stood up and took Copeland from Vic. Copeland looked so happy to see her dad. "So are you guys doing anything tomorrow night?" I asked Kellin. He looked at Katelynne. "No, having a kid sorta stops you from having a real social life" Katelynne explained. "Well, you're taking your wife out to dinner Kellin okay. Me and Cope are gonna have a girls night in" I grinned and ruffled her hair. "Hayley, that's too much we can't" Katelynne stood up. "No, least I can do. Friends help friends and the best way to keep a relationship alive is to have romance. So get dressed up and go out to dinner. I'll watch her on my bus over night. My gift to you" I smiled. Katelynne hugged me and Kellin kissed my forehead. "Thank you" He whispered. "No problem, now gotta head to my signing" I explained and turned to leave with Vic.
He walked me to my signing. It was sweet of him to try and make it up to me. I was happy that he's trying. "I'll see you after the show babe" He smiled and kissed me. The signing went great as usual and the show was even better. I walked offstage and seen Katelynne with Cope in her arms and Kellin at her side with an arm around her. Vic was nearby with a huge smile on his face. Things are looking up, oh finally.
