I Ran Through Glass In The Street
My eyes fluttered open and I groaned at the pain in my head. I really need to stop knocking myself out and such. Everyone freaked out thinking I had a concussion but it was all good once they got me to the first aider. I was fine and they let me go. Luckily I didn't need stitches or anything like that. I had requested to go back to my bus for the night. Everyone agreed that was probably the best idea. I needed to rest. We were going to be playing Boston tomorrow and I was very excited for that.
I looked at my phone and groaned when I seen what time it was. 3am. I threw my phone under my pillow and tried to sleep. It wouldn't come though. My mind began to wander, was Chad right? Since I became friends with PTV I had changed a lot. I began drinking, going out and I had a new boyfriend. I rolled my eyes. Fuck I'm only 24 It's times like this where you gotta live your life. I might be doing things differently but I was happier.
Vic was becoming a big part of my life and it ached my heart to think of time without him. To think of when this tour ended. We still have a month and a half left but it didn't feel long enough. I rolled over and buried my head in my pillow. I closed my eyes eventually sleep pulled me under.
"Hayley Williams wake up we are in Boston" Jeremy sang into my bunk. I groaned. "I don't wanna wake up" I muttered. He did the last thing I'd ever want anyone to do, pulled my sheets off me. "JEREMY NOO!" I screamed and he just giggled and walked away. I fell out my bunk while trying to climb out. "Wah" I shouted as Jeremy turned around and laughed. "Ha ha ha Hayley fell" He pointed. I put on a sadface and he just laughed more. I heard the bus door open and someone walk in. Vic suddenly came into sight. He seen me on the floor and raised and eyebrow. "Hayley fell" Jeremy said through laughter. Vic began laughing too. "Not you aswell" I frowned. He walked over to me, bent over and picked me up. He threw me over his shoulder and took me out to the front of the bus. He sat down on the couch and pulled me onto his knee.
"How are you feeling?" He smiled at me. "Not bad, my head hurts a little" I said touching where I hurt it. "Good. What about what Chad was saying?" He asked avoiding looking at me. "I don't care, he can say what he wants. It doesn't phase me okay" I smiled. He frowned but droped it. I leaned in and kissed his lips. "I'm gonna get ready okay" I told him and kissed him lightly again. He nodded and I stood up. I walked into the bunk area and began to get ready for the day. I slipped on a dress. It was red and hung mid thighs. I put on my docs and brushed my hair. I applied some make-up and nodded to my appearance. I finally grabbed my phone and a cardigan. I put it on and stuffed my phone in my pocket. I walked out to where Vic was and we decided to go for a walk. We ended up in the site where all the kids were hanging around. People would come up and talk to us. Listening to the stories kids were telling Vic was heartbreaking. How Pierce the Veil seemed to help them was really hopeful though. One kid really stood out though.
"Hey" He smiled and approached us. "Hey man" Vic responded. The kid looked at me and I smiled. "Hey dude" I said giving him a hug. He seemed really happy that I hugged him. "I can't wait to see both your sets today. I was so bummed when I heard that you were covering for Jeremy and I didn't get to see this" He said with a small smile. "It was fun being in another band for awhile" Vic grinned at me. I nodded. "Yeah two very unique sounds clashing together can make some awesome music" I smiled at him. He nodded and then pulled something out his pocket. "I just hoped I would get to meet you Vic" He held a necklace in his hands. "My sister was a massive fan of Pierce the Veil and she committed suicide last year. She always wanted to meet you guys but she never did. I always told myself I would meet you in her honour" He smiled. Vics eyes filled with sadness. "I'm sorry to hear that" He told this kid. "Yeah she wanted to give you this" He said handing Vic the necklace. It was silver and had "PTV" ingraved in it. Vic smiled and put it in his pocket. "I'll keep it safe I promise" He smiled. The kid smiled at Vic and thanked him. "Goodluck with you guys, you're perfect together" The boy said and walked off. Me and Vic looked at each other and smiled. "Come on, let's go see the guys. I wanna show them this" He smiled. I nodded and we walked back to the bus, hand in hand.
"Jaime, man you fucking suckkkkk" Tony groaned from inside the bus. We hadn't even gotten on the bus yet. I looked at Vic and raised an eyebrow. He shrugged and I just turned and climbed on the bus. "Tony, fuck off" Jaime whined from the couch. "What's wrong princess?" I asked Jaime sitting next to him. "Tony is being a dick" He muttered. "I fucking heard that" Tony yelled from the bunk area. "What happened?" I asked. "So everyone wants to go camping tonight after the show. I wanna go and Tonys pissed because I wont come with him to get a tent" Jaime explained. "Seriously?" I asked raising my eyebrows. Jaime nodded. "You guys are a bunch of girls. Tone I'll come with you okay" I laughed and Jaime perked up. "I wanna go" he whined. "What? You didn't wanna go five minutes ago. Hayley says shes coming and suddenly you wanna come?" Tony moaned as he came into the living area. Jaime gave him and a massive grin. "Come on losers" I said standing up. I kissed Vic goodbye and me, Tony and Jaime left the bus.
We walked around Boston until we found somewhere that sold tents. We bought a big one with a lot of rooms. Then we went and found a liquor store. "We are getting tequila" Jaime grinned and picked up a few bottles and put it in the cart. Tony got a few cases of beer. I decided to handle the food situation. We all went back to the buses and dumped the bags on the floor. Vic and Mike looked a little shocked. "Got enough stuff" Vic asked sarcasticly. "You're getting nothing Fuentes" Jaime said with hands on his hips. Vic shook his head laughing. I looked at my phone and seen the time. "Shit, gotta head to the signing" I groaned and gave Vic a quick kiss.
I ran to the signing and made it just in time. "Hey" I said breathlessly. "Hey" They both said. "So you heard about the camping trip tonight?" I asked. "Yeah, so stoked" Jeremy grinned. Taylor nodded and then the kids began to come in. We signed things and talked away. The kids were awesome. The kid me and Vic spoke to earlier came up and I smiled at him. "Hey kid" I smiled and he said hi back. "Vic told the guys about your sister. They're touched by the story and her necklace" I told him and he smiled. "Thanks" I smiled back at him. The signing ended and we decided to go see All Time Low, Sleeping With Sirens and then Pierce the Veil. Vic ran offstage at the end of their set and hugged me. "Sorry I'm all sweaty" He grinned from ear to ear. "It's okay, I understand the feeling" I smiled and kissed him. "Go get fixed up and I shall see you after our show for some camping fun" I smiled and kissed him. He walked off and I went off to do my vocal warm ups.
"Thank you Boston!" I screamed into the microphone. I looked at the crowd once more and ran offstage. We all ran back to the buses as quickly as we could and got stuff together. I packed a bag and changed into better clothes. I smiled and thought of the trip we were going on. I stood up and ran off the bus. I looked around for the group of us who were going. I seen the PTV boys, All Time Low, Sleeping With Sirens, OM&M, Taylor M and Tay. Jeremy and Taylor followed me over. Ilan and Justin decided to sit this one out. I smiled at everyone and we all began to walk. The woods that we were camping in were only 3 miles from the site. So we all began the trek to the camping site.
I walked up to Vic and took his hand. "I'm glad we are doing this" He smiled at me. "Yeah me too" I grinned and we all walked together, laughing, joking and enjoying each others company.
