Just Give Me a Reason

Oh the Memories.

"Done Tony, we're done. I can't do this anymore. I can't pretend anymore." her tear stained face looked up at me once more before handing me the necklace that I had given her three years ago. Without another word she walked out of our apartment and never looked back.

Two years later and that memory sits very present and vivid in my mind. Not even touring can get my mind off of her. I loved her. I do love her and I ruined it. If I would have just gone to see her, spent the day like we had planned, I know for a fact that we would still be together now.

But I ruined things. I ditched her on our four year anniversary for some party. I cheated on her. Things got out of hand and now I'm alone.

It's been two years and I haven't heard anything from her.

I kept asking Vic and Mike if they knew anything about her because she was their cousin and all, but they didn't know anything either.

"Tone, are you ready? We go on in 5." Jaime said interrupting me from my thoughts.

"Yeah." I nodded. We had a home show today. Every time that we play in San Diego or get to come back to San Diego I can't help but look around for her. I loved her.

I love her.

Nothing could ever change that.

I grabbed my guitar and put the strap over my shoulder.

She was the one that got me into playing the guitar when we were younger. She bought me my very first electric guitar when we were in middle school and constantly encouraged me to keep at it.

Everything absolutely everything reminded me of her dammit!

"Tone come on!" screamed Jaime as he took the stage. I followed quickly and searched the crowd, hoping that I would see her face again.

Ellie's POV

"Please tell me that this isn't some kind of sick joke!" I smiled at my band's manager, Mason.

"No joke. From Dust: to Dust is going on Warped Tour all summer!" he screamed.

"How did you pull that one off Mason?" asked our drummer Stephen.

"I didn't do anything. This time it was all you guys. Kevin Lyman emailed me, we had a few conversations and now, well, now FDTD is playing all summer long!" he smiled.

"When do we leave?" asked Frank, our rhythm guitarist.

"Two days from now."

"What?" How are you supposed to get ready in time?" asked Max, our bassist, in horror.

"Shut up Max! So do you know what other bands are going?" asked Sam our lead guitarist.

"The Used, All Time Low, New Found Glory, Blessthefall, Of Mice and Men, Sleeping with Sirens, Pierce the Veil, Anti Flag, We the Kings, Miss May I, Yellowcard, and a bunch of others that I really don't feel like naming right now, you can look it up on their website."

"That sounds like an ama- wait, did you say Pierce the Veil?" I asked as I tried to hide the uneasiness in my voice.

"Yeah, you'll be sharing the stage with them since you both will be on the main stage." beamed Mason.

"Oh." I nodded.

Pierce the Veil means Vic and Mike. Vic and Mike means Jaime. Vic, Mike and Jaime, means Tony. All summer. On the same tour.

"Why the sudden reaction?" asked Mason.

"Her cousins and ex-boyfriend whom she hasn't spoken to in the last two years are in that band." blurted Max.

"Okay we are going home! Let's go Max!" I yelled and walked out of the room before any more questions would be asked.

Once Max and I got to our shared apartment, we started packing for tour.

"Maxi, do you think Rex can stay at your parents’ house?" Rex was our dog.

"Yup." he smiled.

"Good." I smiled back and continued packing.

We got about half of it done before I decided to quit and watch Harry Potter.

"Elle's do your cousins know that you're in a band?"

"No, I met you and the guys right after I left them." I answered.

"Oh."

"But I guess they’re going to find out now, which I mean, if I’m being honest, it isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I really miss them." I sighed before getting off the couch and announcing that I would be going to bed.

This is going to be one hell of a summer.

Notes

I had this story up a long time ago, and now I'm coming back to it, and editing it and making it better :)
