The All Nighter
Chapter 1
Carter's POV
If you look close enough, you'll notice that the person you think is the rudest person on earth may be the sweetest person deep down inside. And you might even fall in love.
And if you dig deep enough, you'll realize that maybe the one's you're stuck with for a while isn't all that bad and will make you realize you are actually insane for them.
That's what I wish I could believe.
The name's Carter. I'm 17 and extremely busy, which is good because it keeps my mind occupied from the torment I get from the worse gang in school.
They call themselves "The Veil".
They are the rudest and meanest guys around and they don't care about other people's feelings whatsoever.
Of course my color guard captain is dating their ring leader Vic Fuentes. She's super sweet but I guess she doesn't understand or see how ruthless the gang is.
Each member of the gang has a different reason as to why they are in the gang but no one knows those reasons. They just know they are mean. Especially to me, Lyric Bronx, and Michael Bohn, my best friends, even though we have never done anything to them. Every day it's something new. Punched, kicked, verbal slander, you name it, it happens and it hurts. Going to school is extremely hard because I'm the main person they pick on. I still don't know why. It's starting to become too much because I have so many other things I'm currently working on. I'm on the color guard team, I'm taking guitar lessons, and I even have a job so I can help my little sisters out and take care of them since my parents have gone MIA. I also keep my grades up, but now even focusing is becoming too hard for me.
The most baffling thing about the gang, however, is the fact that one of the members is dating the worse person on the planet, besides the gang themselves. Chasity Paris. She is literally the slutiest, meanest, backstabbing, two-timing little bitch. She does nothing but betray people who care most about her. She's a lying little diva. I can’t stand her. Why would the gang even like her?
Tomorrow is Monday and I'm not ready to deal with the gang, or Chasity, or anyone else for that matter. Especially since I stood up and poured coke all over Tony's head on Friday for calling my best friend a fat bitch. Tomorrow is going to be hell.
