The Forgotten Memories Of Allison Fuentes

The Memory of Booze, Ice Cream, Kisses, Tears, and Running.

Is my house a magnet or something? People always come here like its their house. Cue the yelling to start now.

"Allison! It's Peter. I really wanted to talk to you about our relationship," He said. What relationship? I tried to be friends again but I just couldn't. Vic looked at me with hurt in his eyes.

"I stopped talking to him like a month ago," I whispered. Vic nodded and pointed to the door in question.
What was I gonna do? Maybe run out the back
door? Perfect. I pointed to the back door.

"Let's go out the back door." I mouthed. We both tiptoed to the door and opened it slowly. It just had to creak of course. I cringed and opened it even more. Once outside, we closed the door
and ran to Vic's window.
Guess it would be a night at Vic's tonight. I'm pretty happy about this considering his mom makes some good food. Or the fact that I'm with Vic. That's so cheesy kill me. I slipped through the crack and waited for Vic. He still hasn't said anything. "Did you bring the ice cream?" I asked, because I was really enjoying that ice cream.

"I have some here." He looked down and walked downstairs. Do I follow or do I stay up here? I waited a bit till I heard the creaking stop. "You can come down Allison." His mom hollered.
I was so embarrassed, I felt my face light up red and my eyes found the floor. His dad and mom were at the bottom of the stairs. "Allison." His dad spoke, I looked up to meet his eyes.

"Yes,"

"You don't have to hide when you're here. Mike and Vic told us what happened," he started, " and Vic, don't sneak her in. She can use the door because we like Allison."

"Sorry, Mr. And Mrs. Fuentes." I stuttered, slightly looking over at Vic. Who was doing absolutely nothing. God I hate when he does this, he just zones out and can hear but doesn't respond. Absorbs every molecule of oxygen.

Before I zoned out, Mike walked down the stairs in a pair of pants and a loose t-shirt. "Hey mo-" he stopped, "Oh hey Alli, happy birthday..again,"
"Thanks Mike." A grin crept along my face.

"Can I go over to Jaime's? They are playing games and doing music stuff." He asked, grabbing his jacket off the hook.

"Well your father and I are leaving to go to your aunts, do you have a ride?" Mrs. Fuentes asked. Before Mike even had a chance to say no I jumped in,

"I can take him Mrs. Fuentes. If that's okay."

"Thank you." Mike whispered in my ear, I nodded and waited for the response.

"I guess that's okay. Thank you Allison. But we have to get going. Love you stay safe," she kissed Vic and Mike's heads. I waved them goodbye.
--
I slipped back into my window and grabbed my keys. Thanks god peter left. Did that mean I couldn't sleep at Vic's? Dammit Peter. I shuffled down the stairs and slipped into my car with the brothers. "Did you want to stop somewhere before hand?" I asked, flipping my turn signal and jumping on the road. They stayed silent. "I have to stop at Baskin Robins before we go, did you want to go anywhere to get anything?" Again, silence.

"Okay then." I muttered and turned on the radio. It was silent most of the way to The local Baskin Robbins. I pulled in and shut off the car "Let's go guys." I motioned them out of the car. I slipped into the door and ran straight for the freezers. "Why do you need so much?" Vic asked, as I continued to pile the amounts of Ice cream on his arms.

"It's my favorite." I mumbled, handing Mike the same amount.

"Geez Al this is a lot." Mike mumbled, I just ignored him and proceeded to check out and carry 3 bags of ice cream to my car. "Last chance, do you have to go anywhere?"
The both looked at each other, and whispered a few words. "Tell me." I stopped them.

"Well-uh we- I mean I," Mike didn't look me in the eye and continued to put bags in the trunk, "I was gonna ask if you could take me to this kids house then run me to Jaime's. I-uh- left my stuff there and I need it."

"Was it that hard?" I hollered sliding into the car and drove to this mysterious address. Once I entered the neighborhood I immediately knew it was sketchy. God dammit.

"Here! You can stop here!" Mike practically yelled before leaping out of the car. He didn't shut his door.

"Shit Allison I'm sorry." Vic mumbled combing his fingers through his long locks. But before I could respond Mike, ran into the car with a backpack breathing heavily. I heard the bottles clink.

"Mike did you just make me go on a fucking beer run for you?" I hissed.

"Well not beer. A booze run. But can you hurry up? I short changed the guy and I don't need him killing me."

"I should just let him kill you." I mumbled pulling out of the sketchy neighborhood. "I swear to god if I get pulled over I'm going to fucking murder you."
It was silent for a few seconds, but we all bursted out laughing. I couldn't stop laughing, I just went on a beer run. No. A booze run. "Here's Jaime's." Mike hopped out and went around back.
--
Once we got to Vic's house we loaded the ice cream into the freezer and took one carton for each of us. We sat down on his bed and cracked the lid off of the luscious vanilla chocolate with a gold strip.

"Gold Medal Ribbon?" He questioned, look at the carton.

"You got it." I smiled, putting a spoonful in my mouth. Oh it was so good.
He started at it, intimidated by the small carton in front of him. I decided to grab a spoon full and try to coax him into eating it. "Here comes the train CHOO CHOO!" I laughed, he found it slightly amusing but it wasn't enough to get his entire mouth open.

"Pleaseeeeee." I poured slightly.

"I'm not an ice cream fan." He said bluntly, closing his container.
I gasped, "Don't you dare say that about my child, he didn't mean it delicious Gold Medal Ribbon."

That got a laugh, and as soon as his mouth opened I slipped the spoon into his mouth. Instead of a complete, 'I'm gonna rip your face off look.' I got more of a wonder look.
I wish I knew what he was thinking about. I frowned slightly, but he read my expression instantly. "A penny for your thought?"

I frowned even more. I don't even know what thought is in my head. Do I want him? Do I want Peter? Do I wanna eat ice cream forever and never grow up? Yes. But I can do that anyway. "I wish I could tell you there was something in there." I shrugged.
"I'll tell you what, every time you confess your deep thoughts with me," he winked, "I'll either tell you what I'm thinking or I'll eat more ice cream."

"You're playing a dangerous game Vic." I smiled, plowing more ice cream into my mouth.

"So a penny for your thought?" He restated, moving closer.

"I actually don't know. I feel nice, my thoughts are just bleh ya know? I feel nothing yet I feel absolute bliss." I looked down, "How about you?"

"Well," before he said anything else his finger tilted my chin up and his lips collided against mine. It took a little while to kiss back, I was still in shock. His finger never left my chin, I slowly backed up allowing him to move closer to me. My hands were still holding my Ice cream though. I slowly smiled, pulling away quickly before my ice cream spilled. Vic was still leaning forward with his eyes shut. I laughed and ate my ice cream.

"That wasn't very nice," Vic pouted.

"Ice cream is number one. Sorry Viccy,"

He didn't say anything else. Instead he just kissed me again and I dropped my ice cream this time. "VIC!" I yelled.

"What?" He sat up, staring at me with blank eyes.

"You just spilled my ice cream," I spoke, leaning over the side of the bed in attempt to grab it.

Before I could even reach it he gripped the back of my shirt, lightly pulling me back. "Don't
ramble about it, I'll get it." He huffed, leaving over effortlessly and grabbing the delicious carton.
"Thank you Vic." I smiled shyly, placing the lid on the Gold Medal a Ribbon and sat it on the desk beside me.

"It'll melt, then the sides will drip with water which will go on the desk." He mumbled, "Then a visible circle will be on the desk." He got up and moved the ice cream.

"Do you want me to take it down stairs?" I asked, trying to get him to stop mumbling.

"Oh.." More mumbles, "No I can do it."
--
After about 10 minutes I decided to go downstairs. Where are you Victor Fuentes? I creaked down the long staircase, trying to make as little noise as possible. But nothing could prevent me from what I was hearing.

It wasn't just mumbles, it was loud and clear. "Why did you kiss her? You know there is nothing between you two..." He whispered the last section, "You don't even know her... But she kissed you too... Maybe she should go home."

That's all I needed to hear to make me walk up the stairs ignoring Vic's calls, "Al is that you?" I slipped through the window and out into his back yard, up the side of my house and then face first onto my bed. I remember only the tears slipping from my eyes.
