"Are you ready yet?" came Jaime's voice from my bedroom door.

"Yeah, I guess so." I half smiled at my reflection in the mirror. I was wearing shorts and a shirt one size too big for this barbecue/party that we were having for the guys. I had thought about just staying in my room all day but Mike had made me swear that I'd attend the party and 'have fun'. There was only so much fun a girl with broken ribs can have.

"Hime, this is gonna be the first time that I see anybody from school since the incident." I told him.

"You'll be alright Tay, we won't let anything happen to ya." he smiled at me. We both walked down the stairs after I had locked my bedroom door.

"Your leg is doing a lot better." he stated.

"Yeah, I can actually walk on it now, slowly, but it's better than the crutches." I laughed.

"You came!" screamed Mike as he ran over to me.

"I live here, duh!" I laughed at him. The guys and all all stood around the back yard for a while just talking and soon enough people started to arrive.

"Hi, I'm Jessica, I was in your english class, it's good to see you doing so well." smiled a tall red head girl at me.

"I'm Tay, and thanks." I smiled back at her."

She then told me about how it was a shame what had happened to me and how she and other students found it greatly unfair that Alicia and her skanks had only been suspended.

"I thought they had gotten expelled." I told her.

"Yeah, we all did. But they all walked into school Monday, acting as if they owned the place and as if nothing had happened. They are telling people that they went on vacation, but most of us know the truth."

After a while of greeting people and standing around talking to Jessica I asked her if she wanted to continue our conversation of music in the kitchen, mainly because of the fact that I really needed to sit down and all of the chairs that we had outside were already taken. She agreed and we made our way inside. We continued to bond over chips until a really tall guy walked into the kitchen.

"Hey." he smiled.

"Hi." we smiled back.

"I'm Beau. I wasn't in any of your classes or anything, but I always saw you around campus." he stated.

"Well nice to meet you Beau, I'm Tay." I smiled back at him.

"And I'm gonna go to the bathroom."stated Jessica before swiftly exiting the kitchen. Jerk.

"What are you doing in here anyway?" asked Beau as he sat down next to me.

"I'm not trying to be anti-social or anything, I just got tired and all of the chairs outside were taken."

"Ah yeah, I heard about the broken ribs. How many?"

"3 of them, unfortunately."

"I know how you feel. I broke 3 of my ribs last year." he explained.

"How did you manage that?" I laughed.

"I went to a party, got too drunk and thought that it'd be fun to jump off the roof. Turns out it wasn't so much fun."

"That is insane!" I laughed and he grinned a beautiful and contagious grin. We continued talking for a while until Tony walked into the kitchen.

"Beau can you leave?" asked Tony rather rudly as he walked in.

"You don't have to Beau, Ton'ys just being a rude jerk." I stated any lares at Tony.

"No actually Beau, you need to leave."

"No he doesn't. He can stay if he wants to." I stated.

"Look, i'll just go--"

"Beau you don't have to."

"No, it's okay, really. It was nice meeting and finally getting to talk to you." he smiled but then walked out of the kitchen.

"Dude!" I just about screamed at Tony.

"What?"

"What the hell is wrong with you?"

"What do you mean?"

"Hello, did you just miss the part where you were a complete asshole to Beau who did absolutely nothing wrong?" Tony looked around for a while be fore answering.

"Huh, I must have missed it." he smirked at me.

"You're such a jerk. I don't know why I even fucking try with you anymore." I scoffed and began standing up slowly and making my way to the door of the kitchen. Before I actually had the chance to walk out of the kitchen Tony walked over and stood in front of me without saying anything. He was just starring at me and blocking my way out of the kitchen.

Before I had the chance of telling him to move or ask him what he was starring at he took a step closer to me.

"I'm sorry." he said softly. I didn't say anything to he made his eyes meet mine. It had been a while since I had starred at Ton'y eyes like this. I missed those brown orbs starring right at mine. I just, I couldn't really read him fully, which bothered me because I used to be able to read him so well.

"For everything. Not just for today. I've been a complete asshole to you even though you didn't deserve any of it."

"It's over now Tone." I spoke softly.

"I just need you to know that I really am sorry. I need you to know that I know that how I treated you was unfair. I want us to be able to talk about things again. I want us to be friends and I want you to trust me again." The look in his eyes shifted a little. It looked like one of guilt but was quickly hidden with a look of determination. He placed his hand on my cheek and slowly began to lean in. My eyes closed just as his lips touched mine.

We were kissing. This was a kiss.

My mouth moved with his. All of our frustration, anger, passion, love for each other seemed to explode with this one gesture.

I've kissed people before, but this, this was different. It felt different.
