Mike's POV

"Dude, Mike, what the hell man?" asked Vic as soon as Tay stormed out of the car.

"I don't know what came over me." I told them honestly.

"Dude, lately you've been nothing but a dick to her and she's done nothing wrong."

"You guys are one to talk, I don't see either of you doing anything different then me." I snapped at them.

"Just take it easy on her dude, you know it's rough still, and yeah, we've got the band and shit to fall back on but what does she have?" stated Jaime.

"She's supposed to have us, but we've all been complete assholes lately." answered Vic as he also got out of the car. A couple minuets later Tony came walking through our front door just as Tay was coming down the stairs.

"Hey Tay." Tony smiled at her.

"Fuck off Tony."

"Hey, what the hell?" he asked and we all turned to look at them.

So I'm not the only one with an attitude!

"I should be asking you that Tony." she told him quietly.

"If you are referring to earlier today because I didn't sit with you again, what's the big deal? I do have other friends." he said.

"That's not at all what I'm talking about Tony. But you know what? Play dumb, it's fine with me." she stated and walked out of the living room.

"Is it me or does she have a shitty attitude all of a sudden?" asked Tony as he sat next to me.
"It's our fault." stated Jaime. "We pulled away from her, we started to ignore her, we started treating her badly. I can't blame her for acting like this towards us."

Tay then walked back into the living room and sat next to Vic. The rest of us got quiet. She took a bite of her toast and then looked at us starring around the room.

"It's one thing to completely toss me aside at school, but at home too? So much for family." she said and left. We heard the door to her room slam shut and Green Day blast through. She was really upset.

Tay's POV

A couple of days had gone by and the guys were trying to be nice. It was all fake though, I could see right through them. Vic offered me rides in the morning which I refused. Mike and Tony came up to me at school and asked how my day was going. 'Fine' was all I would say before walking away. They think that I didn't notice that they only talked to me when there weren't other people around. And Jaime, Jaime had come to my room and apologized over and over again. He had told me about how awful he felt for having treated me like he did and that he knew that I didn't trust any of them. He was the only sincere one.

It wasn't like I didn't daydream about the moment when they would start being nice to me again. It's just that, if it was going to happen, I wanted it to be sincere, not fake. I don't want to be a hassle, so if they want nothing to do with me, then so be it.

At school today things went downhill fast. I was walking to my last class of the day but was stopped by Alicia and her friends. I couldn't take all six of them. Besides, I didn't even have the energy to take on one of them, this had been happening for a while now and I was just done. After they were satisfied with kicking and punching me for a couple of minuets they walked away. I went to the restroom to clean up as best as I could with the paper towels before deciding to blow off my last class and just walk home. Mama and Papa Fuentes wouldn't be home anyway and it's not like it would matter to anyone else.

I made it home without any troubles and couldn't even make it up the stairs. These bruises were really adding up. I grabbed a blanket from the closet under the stairs and laid on the couch watching Mean Girls until I fell asleep.

Mike's POV

"Bro, what do you mean you don't know where she is?" asked Vic.

"Exactly that, she didn't show up to our last class. Maybe she went home." Vic agreed and then he drove Tone, Jaime and I to our house. We walked in and saw Tay on the couch, her backpack, sweater and shoes on the floor.

"Dude is that blood?" asked Jaime as he picked up Tay's sweater. I walked over and took a look as did Vic and Tony.

"Yeah."

"Oh man, I didn't know things were this bad." I told them all. In all honesty I felt bad, guilty. I had told Tay that I would be that older brother, that I would protect her and always have her back but as soon as the guys and I started getting attention from our band I completely let go of her. She had trusted me. I had worked so hard for her to really trust me only to let her go. What kind of brother did that make me?

"Tay what happened to you?" I heard Vic ask carefully.

"Nothing." she said and walked slowly up the stairs.

"She's pissing me off." stated Tony.

"It's our fault Tony." I told him.
