Where Do We Go From Here?

After being home for three months, Ben was right, I wanted to badly to get back out there again. I had been filled with pregnancy and baby shoots and weddings and just the most boring things compared to doing concert shoots. My coworkers could see that this is not what I wanted anymore, I wanted to be out there traveling the world in a cramped bus, meeting new people and making more memories than what I was doing in my small town where everyone knew my name.

Ben had come up to visit me a few times and our relationship really flourished. The buzz online created a lot of backlash from his fans towards me but I did my best to ignore the people throwing me hate though some of the death threats scared me a bit.

I felt so many butterflies when I was with him, even just talking to him had me acting like a little girl. He was so different from his persona outside of the music scene. While he was always goofy and very sassy, he was very sweet and soft spoken.

I had been going about my day when my phone started going off. I hadn't talked to my friends since I got back and they hadn't found out yet but by the amount of texts I had gotten in only a few minutes plus the phone call, I figured that they found out.

"Hey, Er, what's up?" I asked and she started babbling loudly into the phone and I could hear her take a few breath before speaking.

"Since when are you dating Ben Bruce? When the fuck did this happen and why haven't you told us?!" She yelled and I could hear the others in the background.

"It just happened over the summer. I figured you guys would've seen the post a few months ago but I guess.. I don't know, I figured you'd just bug out like you are now." I said with a chuckle.

"Uhh, yeah we're gonna bug out! you're fucking a famous person, did you think we wouldn't?!" My other friend Amanda screeched. I was scared of this moment because while they were really huge fans, I didn't want to introduce them to the boys because of that reason.

Not to be rude but my friends were some grade A hoes and these boys had girlfriends of many years. I just happened to snag the one who had no one.

"Fair enough"I laughed but rolled my eyes. I had a tendency to be vulgar sometimes but Amanda was very.... blunt to say the least.

"When do we get to meet them?" Jayme said and I paused. I really didn't want it to ever happen but it would eventually.

"Well, they're really busy so I don't know." I said quietly and I heard the scoffs.

"Are you kidding me? Becca, come on, we're your best friends and you aren't gonna introduce us to your boyfriend and his friends?" Ally said and I rolled my eyes.

"If they come to visit, I'll let you know. Maybe I'll do a barbeque or something when it get's warmer." I said in attempts to compromise.

"Alright girl well let us know! Glad you finally found someone after Chris, seems like it's been forever." Erika chuckled and so did I but I absolutely hated when they brought him up.

"Alright well I'll talk to you guys later, love you." I said and they said it back before hanging up.

I'm really scared of what they would all do around the boys, they loved them as much, if not more, than I do and even though we were all in our twenties, they acted like little girls fawning over some band members.

I went back to cleaning and not even ten minutes later, my phone rang again. I sighed and figured I'd just give up on cleaning for the day.

"Hello?" I asked and I finished wiping down my table.

"Hey, love." Ben said on the other end. I smiled instantly hearing his voice.

"Oh hey babes, what's up?" I asked and sat down.

"Just wanted to see if you wanted me to come up this weekend since I haven't been up in a while." He said and I heard someone in the background.

"But you're in the studio, aren't you guys busy?" I asked, knowing that he wanted badly to get this album done.

"We're almost done, besides.. I.. eh hem, we all miss you." He mumbled and I chuckled.

"If you guys want to come up this weekend for a little break, you know you're more than welcome. I miss you too." I smiled and then thought 'well shit, might as well get the best friends situation of the way this weekend'

I heard some shuffling and some yelling/whining.

"Becca! We miss you!" One of the boys said and I laughed. I could hear Ben trying to get his phone back.

"Miss you guys too, I'll see you this weekend." I chuckled and The phone was handed back to Ben.

"You guys are dickheads." He said and I laughed again. "Sorry, They're going stir crazy today." He said with a huff.

"Understandable, you all probably are. But about this weekend..." I paused.

"Yeah, what's up? Can we not come? Are you busy?" He rambled.

"No, no, nothing like that. My friends just want to meet you guys." I said quietly.

"Oh, okay. Cool, invite them too." Ben said so nonchalantly.

"I will but be warned, they love you guys and are a bit.... intense." Intense seemed like a good word to describe those girls.

"Becks, we're used to it. I'm sure they won't be as bad as some of our fans." Ben chuckled and I shrugged and shook my head even though he couldn't see me do so.

"Alright but I've warned you, I have no idea what they'll do." I chuckled and so did he.

"Alright well, I love you, I'll see you Friday." I smiled just thinking about relaxing with him and being with him again.

"Ok, Love you, see you guys soon" I hung up and sent a text to Erika, Ally, Jayme, and Amanda. Their responses were priceless since I had only talked to them a short while ago.


After discussing some things with them, I decided to just spend the rest of the day relaxing, soon it was late and I went to bed, excited for the weekend but also dreading it.

It's Friday, the guys would be here any minute and I was bouncing with excitement while I cooked. I was busy cooking when my phone started ringing and I scooped it up when I saw the name.

"Are you guys here?!" I squealed happily.

"Yea, we'll be pulling up in a few minutes." Ben chuckled and I pulled the food off the stove and ran to the door. I swung it open as their car pulled up. A wild smile stuck to my face as they got out of the car. I had to calm myself down as the car pulled away.

Ben dropped his overnight bag and swung me around in a big hug.

"Get a room." James said and I flipped him off just before Ben had set me down.

"God damn did I miss you guys." I sighed happily and they chuckled.

"We missed you too Beck." Denis said.

I led them in and they dropped their bags in my living room.

"Smells good, what're you cooking?" Sam asked and I looked over to the stove.

"I figured you guys would like some steak so that's what I made." I smiled slightly, unsure of my cooking.

"Sweet, thanks babe." Ben said and gave me a kiss. I went into the kitchen and grabbed plates and utensils and told them to go ahead and make their plates. When they were done, I made mine and we all sat at my table eating like a big family.

They were telling me stories of their recording process and some tour stories and I was enthralled with all the fun we were having together.

"So when are your friends coming over?" Cam asked and the boys looked over at me.

"I told them to come over Sunday night." I said and they nodded.

"So Ben said they were crazy, what are we expecting?" James ask and I chuckled nervously.

"Well... they're a unique bunch but I honestly don't know what to expect." I shrugged and they chuckled.

"Well, I'm sure we'll be fine, nobody will get raped or anything." Ben said with a smirk.

"No promises on my end, ya'll are responsible for yourselves." They looked a bit frightened when I said that but soon the atmosphere was back to all laughs.

We just hung out and caught up with each other until it was late in the night. We dispersed, Ben following me to my room and the others claiming the couch and other rooms.

"I missed you so much." Ben said and pinned me down onto the bed. I smirked up at him and pulled him down onto me.


That night was one that I haven't had in a long time. I felt loved completely and nothing was rushed or rough(mostly). It was amazing.

Sorry this chapter is a little lack luster. The next one should be very... interesting though ;)
