If This Was a Movie, I'd be Dead by Now

I woke up to a knock on the door.
"Come in, " Jaime said. I looked but at him and saw that he had just woken up. A nurse came in and when she saw us she smiled.
"You are able to leave now," she said. She smiled and walked out with that.
I jumped up and help Jaime up. he planted a quick kiss on my lips and we walked out holding hands. As we were walking down the hallway we saw Vic standing outside a room with tears rolling down his cheeks. We walked up to him.
"Vic, what's wrong?" I asked as I put my hand on his shoulder.
"Mike's in a coma," he said it so quietly I could barely hear it.
"Do they think he'll come out of it?" I asked now getting worried.
"Ya, it'll probably be like what happened with you." he said.
"So he'll probably only be out a week?" I asked needing confirmation.
"Ya," he said. I saw him glance at Jaimes and my hands and for a split second, the pain of his face grew.
"I have to walk Jaime home but I'll come by tomorrow morning to see Mike," I said before walking off. We walked out of the building in science. It wasn't until we were almost to Jaime's house that he decided to speak up.
"What was he talking about?" he asked, "about it being like what happened with you."
I sighed. I wasn't sure how to tell him this.
"So you, uh, know I self-harm," I asked.
"Ya," I could see the concern on his face growing.
"Well, the reason I was out last week was because I was in a coma because I cut really deep and drank bleach." I sighed "I wanted to die really bad after what happened at school. Somehow Vic must've figured that out. He saved my life. He quite literally broke down my door to get into my room and found me lying-almost dead-on my bathroom floor."
Jaime wrapped his arms around me and pulled me to his chest.
"Please, don't ever leave me" he whispered into the top of my head. "Please"
I couldn't keep the tears back and they just poured out. We just stood there like that for a few minutes then I walked him the rest of the way home.
After saying goodbye I walked towards my house. As soon as I got home I heard yelling.
"Why do you protect that little freak?" my mom screamed.
"Because she's my sister and I love her" Dravin yelled.
I quickly ran upstairs and to my room to hide from the fight. I changed and crawled into bed. I looked at my phone to check the time and saw that I had a text from Jaime.
Jaime: You get home alright?
Me: Ya. I'm going to bed now though
Jaime: It's only 8:50
Me:I'm tired though
Jaime: Okay. Sleep well. I'll pick you up from your house about 7ish tomorrow to go see Mike?
Me: Sounds great. Night
Jaime: Night
