Chasing The Night

four.

The members of Pierce The Veil piled into their bright green tour bus, more than ready to take on the Spring Fever tour over the next five weeks. The boys unpacked their stuff into their respective bunks and heading into the front lounge to get ready for the journey to the first stop, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Tony sat on one of the couches, thinking about what the tour would bring for him and Kate. He was excited and nervous to try and win her back but he needed to do this. Vic sat down next to him on the couch and looked over at Tony. “What are you smiling about?”

Tony shrugged. “I guess I’m just keen to be back on tour.”

“You sure that’s it?” Vic called Tony’s bullshit, knowing it had something to do with Kate. “Are you sure it doesn’t involve a 5ft5 brunette by the name of Kate?”

“Maybe.” Tony grinned. “I’m going to win her back, Vic.”

Vic sighed, not wanting to be the one to break it to Tony that Kate was married. He was trying to figure out a way to ease Tony away fro wanting to get back with Kate. “Look, Tony. It has been three years.”

Tony nodded. “I know, but I still love her.”

“Doesn’t mean it’s the same for her.” Vic sighed again. “I’m not saying it isn’t but it has been a whole three years and you have to prepare yourself for that. As much as it hurts.”

Tony felt his bubble burst. This really hadn’t occurred to him as an option. It would break him if she had moved on or didn’t feel the same. But he simply smiled and nodded at his friend, knowing that Vic really did have his best interest at heart. But Tony wasn’t going to give up.

It was a long drive to Oklahoma, the boys managing it with a record of only three stops for starbucks. After around 22 hours, they had made it. The actual shows didn’t start for another two days, so the boys decided to catch up on some sleep for the day and then catch up with the other bands once they started to arrive. By the time Pierce The Veil had dragged themselves out of the bus at 2pm that afternoon, all of the bands were there except The Sky’s Alive and You Me At Six, who weren’t flying in until early tomorrow morning.

The boys were excited. They walked towards the venue, grins plastered on all of their faces. All four of them had really missed being on the road. Up until dinner that night the Pierce The Veil boys spent the time exploring, getting a quick run through of how things would run for set up and sound check tomorrow and catching up with All Time Low and Mayday Parade. The catering service was putting on a massive feast for all the bands tonight and the plan was to get hammered.

By 6pm Mayday Parade and All Time Low had all eaten and were on All Time Low’s bus. The Pierce The Veil guys said that they would be there in about 20 mins or so. The beers and shots were flowing and the vibes were high. Right now, Jack was crowd surfing his was across everyone on the bus, screaming thrift shop at the top of his lungs. Alex laughed at his best friend as he felt his phone vibrate in his jeans pocket. Pulling it out he saw a text from Katelynn saying that The Sky’s Alive were here. He told them to head over to All Time Low’s bus.

The Sky’s Alive quickly unpacked their stuff and pretty much raced to All Time Low’s tour bus. “The party can start now!” Jesse yelled as he entered the party. This caused a chorus of yelling and cheers from the Mayday and ATL band and crews. Kate couldn’t help the smile on her face as she was tackled by Jack and Alex as soon as she entered the bus.

“Kate!” Jack yelled at the small brunette that was beneath him. “Come take a shot!”

“I’ve been here five fucking minutes!” She laughed as the boys helped her up off the bus floor.

“But it’s tour!” He grinned. “And it’s been too long!”

The first time that All Time Low and The Sky’s Alive had toured together was warped tour, two years ago. All Time Low had taken The Sky’s Alive under their wing as they were new to warped and how it all worked. Both bands and crew hit it off straight away. “Fine. Tequila me!” Kate threw her arms up. This caused another round of cheering to circle the bus.

The music was loud. Loud enough that the Pierce The Veil boys laughed as they approached the All Time Low bus after they had finished dinner. Pulling the door open Mike was the first to enter, followed by Jaime, Tony and then Vic. “Start without us?” He laughed when all heads turned to face them.

“Get a drink and hurry up!” Rian smiled at the four boys. “We’re just getting started!”

Tony smiled, getting a drink and looking around the room. His smile automatically dropped when he saw the small, smiling brunette that was currently perched on Alex’s shoulders. She was smiling and dancing carelessly, blissfully unaware that Tony was even in the room. Tony felt like his heart was being ripped out of his chest as he watched her. Alex began spinning Kate around, her laugh flowing out. Tony had missed her so much. One Alex had stopped spinning her, her blue eyes landed on his. His heart stopped when she jumped down and began to make her way over to him. “Hi, Tony.”

Notes

Watching State Of Origin

Fucking hell Queensland need's to pick up it's defense in the second half. I get really aggressive about State Of Origin football.

Anyway, updating because the-tonyperry and selfish machine are literally my favorite humans in the world. Shit is gonna get real from now on!
