Chapter 6
It's been an hour since Nick the phone call, he hasn't shown up and the girls are getting impatient. "Just call him and see what's taking him so long, he's either lost or completely ditched us." Faith says angrily. " I'm sure he wouldn't just skip. Let's give him a bit more time before we call, Haleys house isn't exactly easy to find." I say " Just text him or something?" Aly contributes to the conversation. "How about we text him and get on with band practice, remember my parents will literally turn off the power to down here if we go over our time limit." Haley says " that's a good idea, I'll do that." I say.
*hey nick, get a bit lost or something?* I text him
"Ok let's get started on practice, what should we do first?" I ask "let's do the cover we've been working on" faith says, were covering I don't love you by my chemical romance, but were messing with the instrumentals a little bit so it could go a little more with how we wanna play music.
*skip to end of practice*
i check my phone one more time to see if he's answered. He hasn't. He did read it though, which is probably a bad sign.
"Ok so is he going to show up or can I kick you guys out yet?" Haley ask's " he hasn't answered so I guess it's time to run away from this mad house." I tell her, " what are we going to do about a singer though, may I remind you we sorta have a gig coming up?" Aly says, "we'll find somebody or I'll get Vic to fill in." I say " he can't keep filling in like that, we're starting to get a bit of a following here and people think that Vic is actually our lead singer." Faith adds to the conversation. " we'll find somebody soon, it would help a little though if you guys were trying to help find somebody." I tell them, " it would also help if you weren't so weird about whose in the band." Haley says " your only saying that because I put my foot down and wouldn't let your boyfriend in the band" I tell her "he has nothing to do with thIs Maddie" she half yells at me "whatever" I say back then everything goes dark.
"MOM CAN YOU TURN THE LIGHTS BACK ON?" Haley yells up the stairs " ITS PAST YOUR REHERSAL TIME" her mom yells back " we'll continue this conversation tomorrow" I tell Haley and then I walk out of her garage.
