Tables Turned

I sat on the edge of Vic's bed, a stupidly goofy grin plastered across my face as I watched him sleep. His hair was all over his face, making him so fucking adorable. It made my heart skip a beat actually. He groaned and began running his eyes, a sign that he was waking up. "Go back to sleep." I whispered. He opened his eyes and looked up at me. "I gotta go and speak to my econ professor."

"No, stay in bed." He mumbled, voice thick and full of sleep. He grabbed onto my waist and pulled me back into his bed, wrapping covers around me. The heat from his body made me want to stay in there longer but I did promise to speak to my professor.

"I need to go." I poured at him and in returned he gave me puppy dog eyes, which only made me wanna stay more.

"Just 10 more minutes and then I'll let you go." He compromised with me. I rolled my eyes and nodded, to which he kissed my cheek smugly.

I guess it wasn't awkward at all, I mean I thought it might be slightly awkward but it wasn't. I was lucky. "You're such a dork." I mumbled.

"Yeah but you like it so you're just as lame as me." His sleepy voice said into my ear.

"Vic?" I asked cautiously. I know that asking this question could be difficult because it might suddenly turn everything to shit but I had to know. "At the ball you said you were in love with someone."

"Yeah." He said.

"Was that..."

"You?" He said sharply. "Yeah but let's not talk about that shit right now Savannah."

"Why not?" I turned to face him. He closed his eyes and I noticed his cheeks turn a slight shade of pink.

"Because it's not the time for that. I'm a little more deeper into feelings than you are and that's okay." He told me, finally opening his eyes and looking at me. "So I don't wanna make you feel awkward or anything. So if there's a chance you might end up feeling the same way about me then I'll say it but for now, it's not the time." He looked so adorable when he was trying to be serious.

"Have you thought about how problematic this could be?" I asked him.

"In what way?"

"We live in the same apartment, what if things go wrong? It could be extremely awkward." I explained to him. He had a sad look on his face because I think he knows I'm right.

"It's something we will never know until we try it. I'd rather risk it than throw away something awesome before I've even had the chance to find out its potential." He said softly and pushed a strand of my hair out of my face.

I don't know what could possibly go wrong between us but I don't care at this point. I haven't felt this happy in years. The feeling Jake gave me didn't even come close to the one that Vic did. "I agree." I mumbled and kissed him quickly.

"Ew morning breath." He said dramatically and rolled away from me. I rolled my eyes and got out of bed.

"I'll be back later or whatever." I told him and left his room.

As I closed the door of Vic's bedroom I heard someone clear their throat. I looked up to see both Tony and Lynn standing at the end of the hallway with their arms crossed over their chests like overprotective parents. "Well, isn't this interesting." Lynn said as she cocked her head to the side.

I rolled my eyes and walked towards my bedroom, but they followed me. "What do you want guys?" I asked as I paced around my room looking for clothes.

"You stayed in Vic's room all night, this isn't the first time that it's happened so we just wanna know if there will be any Fuentes babies running around anytime soon?" I looked at Tony and he just shrugged.

"No Tony, there won't be any little kids running around." I said with slight embarrassment.

"Are you two together then?" Tony asked as he sat down on my bed. I threw my clothes down next to him and got to his eye level, grabbing his hands and sighing.

"I don't even know." I said. His face went from excited to disappointed.

"Did you guys bump uglies?" Tony asked.

"Come on dude, isn't that a little impersonal? Anyway your Vic's best friend, why are you asking me and not him?" I said rolling my eyes and standing up straight.

"You're a girl, he's a guy. He won't tell me." Tony said getting up off my bed. "Okay I'm sorry for over stepping my boundaries. I just want you two guys to hurry up and be happy."

"We are taking things slow and no we didn't have sex." I told him. A huge grin crossed his face and he finally slipped out of my room. Lynn sat down on my bed and smiled at me.

"I'm glad you guys are getting somewhere." She said softly. I don't know why but it seemed as though she was kinda, smug? As if she knew this was coming.

"Lynn, Vic knows you were the girl Ben tried to kiss." I told her. Her eyes widened in panic.

"Oh my God, seriously?" She asked frantically.

"Yeah but don't worry about it." I tried to calm her down.

"I'm not going to tell anyone." Vic's voice said quietly from my bedroom door. We both looked at him, wondering how long he had been standing there.

Lynn had the weirdest look on her face. "Thanks." She whispered and then looked at me.

"No one is judging you, we all love you here Lynn." I told her, kneeling down in front of her and grabbing her hands.

"I just don't know what to do anymore." She looked at me with fear in her eyes.

"You don't have to do anything right now. You can just be you." I tried to reassure her. Vic sat down next to Lynn on the bed and wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

"Until you feel like telling people about it or being open about it then you don't have to tell anyone. We aren't going to tell anyone. It's not our place and we care about you." Vic explained to her. Lynn looked at him with a small glimmer of hope in her eyes.

"I think I need to tell my mom." She looked at me.

"Do you think you're ready for that?" I asked to make sure.

"I think so." She looked away and pulled her hands out of mine, covering her face and sighing loudly. "I just wish I was normal like you guys."

"You are normal, we aren't anything special. You like girls, so what? I like girls, Vic likes girls. Life goes on." I laughed. Vic raised an eyebrow at what I said.

"You like girls?" He questioned. "Because if that's the case I have a big shock for you, the hair and voice might be misleading for you." He joked. I rolled my eyes in a playful way and brought my attention back to Lynn.

"I'm bi, shut up." I shook my head.

"You guys are the best friends I could have ever asked for." Lynn grabbed our hands. We both pulled her in for a hug and pretty much crushed her.

"We love you okay." Vic chuckled, his arms firmed around both of us. I felt truly happy.
