"Z baby girl you coming?" I called to her as she was helping Mike get ready as she was also getting herself ready.
"Yeah!" She yelled back, "wala a halfway presentable Mike."
"The fans don't care. I could show up looking homeless and they would still love me." He growled teasingly.
"I care Michael." She rolled her eyes.
"You guys are just like brother and sister." Jaime said to them.
"Eh it happens." Mike said.
"Cmon you weenies." Vic said pushing us all out the door.
The line was incredibly long. I always get very uncomfortable and anxious in this type of thing but it comes with the job. I grabbed Zina's hand to make myself more comfortable and relaxed and she gently smiled. She knew and she was supportive of me.
We all lined up at the table and Zina stood off to the side. Everything was going smoothly until a fan recognized Zina.
"Isn't that Zina?" The fan said to Vic as she walked up.
"Yeah?" He answered.
"She broke Alex's heart. That's totally not cool, I'm gunna give her a piece of my mind Hey! Zina!" The fan yelled and Zina took her phone away from her ear I'm assuming from talking to Morgan.
"Me?" She answered.
"You're a stupid selfish bitch! You broke poor Alex's heart!" The fan yelled and everyone turned around and stared at Zina.
There were mixed looked of sympathy and anger.
"He cheated on me! I wasn't going to deal with that." Zina defended and the fan, who was a lot taller than my little Z, went towards her.
"Oh my god someone get security!" I called out and Mike and Jaime ran to go find security who was supposed to be nearby.
"You're a stupid worthless brat! You're just a band whore! From alex to Tony keep your legs closed! You're going to break all of the people I admire most!" And with that the fan assaulted Zina.
I ran over as fast as I could after being in shock, but the fan was quicker. She beat Zina so hard in that little amount of time that Zina was on the floor. I was trying to pull the fan off of Zina but she wriggled free every time and went back to beating on Zina. Zina wasn't fighting back either. Security rushed in as I was trying to get the fan away from Zina. The two huge guys grabbed her but not before she landed one more punch in on Zina and Zina laid lifeless on the floor.
"The rest of the meet and greet is canceled!" I yelled out and grabbed Zina up and Mike Vic and I rushed out to take her to the green room and Jaime hung back until our manager came.
This was a mess. I felt awful about all of this.
