Cold, Empty Mattresses And Falling Stars

*Mike's POV*

As we were driving to the aquarium it was silent, it wasn't completely comfortable silence, "So when do you plan on telling your dad that you're going to be away for two months?" I asked glancing over at Cassidy, she just looked up at me and shrugged before focusing her attention back on to her phone, "What are you looking at?" I asked glancing over but she quickly turned it from my attention, "Nothing" she said bluntly, I sighed and pulled in to the nearest Starbucks, "Want anything?" I asked but she shook her head, I just nodded and sighed before leaving, when I walked in a group of teenagers looked up at me and started murmuring, "Hi, how can I help you?" One of the workers asked, "Can I get two large black teas, with one sugar in each, please" I said, she nodded and picked up a large cup, "What's your name?" She asked, "Mike, but can you put Cass on the other cup please?" I asked, she smiled and nodded before doing as I asked, after a couple of minutes of murmuring one of the girls came up to me as her group was leaving, "Is it true?" She asked, I looked her unsure of what she was talking about, "Is what true?" I asked laughing in confusion, "You and Samantha?" She asked, I furrowed my eyebrows as I was still confused, she tapped her phone a couple of times and showed me a photo on Instagram of me, "The caption" she said, I took her phone out of her hand and started reading;

"Okay guys so, about 6 weeks ago when Mike came over to Mexico to see his Grandma, he came without his girlfriend, Cassidy, we met in a small coffee shop and he ordered the same drink as me, we got talking and he asked me out for that night, because I love him and his music I agreed, we went to a bar and got totally shit faced and went back to my hotel where I was staying as I came from Amsterdam on holiday, we hooked up and it was the most amazing night of my life, he's so rough but gentle at the same time, I couldn't believe it when he turned up at my hotel on my last day with a small necklace, I still remember what he said to me, "This can be our little secret" he smiled before kissing my lips roughly, I miss him so much and I couldn't contain my happiness any longer, I love him and respect he wanted to keep it a secret but I couldn't contain my undesired love anymore"

"You gotta be kidding me?" I laughed looking at her, "So it's not true?" She asked, "No of course it's not!" I said before I heard my order being shouted then I remembered on the way here Cassidy was looking at something on her phone, "Hey can you check for me if Cassidy is tagged in that?" I asked, she smiled politely and nodded, "What's her Insta?" She asked, I thought for a second before I remembered it, "MissCass" I said, she tapped her screen and nodded, "Yeah, I'm really sorry about that Mike" she said, I nodded and smiled politely before taking the cups and walking back to the car, fast, when I got there I saw that Cassidy was no longer in the car, I started to panic a little, I don't know where my girlfriend is or what she's going to do, she already relapsed once this year, I don't want to be the cause of a second one, I jumped back in the car and pulled my phone out, I immediately called Cassidy but she didn't pick up, obviously, next I called Vic, he didn't pick up until the third time, "Vic, Vic, have you seen or heard from Cass?" I asked, there was a long pause, "Uhhh no?" He said as if he was asking me if he had or hadn't seen her, "Vic..." I said as I could tell when he was lying, "Yeah?" He asked, his voice raising tone a little, "Where. Is. Cass?" I asked breaking it down, "I dunno?" He said like a little child, "Okay, I'm coming over" I said and before he could protest I hung up and jumped in my car, I was sure I was speeding as I drove over there but luckily I didn't get stopped, when I pulled up I saw Cassidy peeking out of the curtain and when she saw me she quickly backed away, I walked up and knocked on the door, "Vic, open up!" I shouted as I tried the handle but it was locked, "VIC!!" I shouted again as I started banging on the door and trying the handle at the same time, eventually he unlocked it, "Where is she?" I asked, he just shrugged, I barged past him and saw no sign of Cassidy anywhere, I ran to the kitchen and back garden, "Where is she, I just saw her at the window, where is she Vic?" I said getting angry, "She's in the shower" he said awkwardly, I started to descend the stairs as I made a straight b-line for the bathroom where I could hear the water of the shower running.

This is the only one for today/tonight, I saw my newborn baby cousin today, his name is Noah, he's 5 days old and he is the sweetest, most precious and smol bean I've ever witnessed, he is a looouuddd crier though so...
