Cold, Empty Mattresses And Falling Stars

*Mike's POV*
-3 Days Later-

"Are you ready to go home?" I asked as I walked in with two coffees in hand, she smiled and nodded, today was the day Cassidy was getting out of hospital, "I brought you a bag with clothes in it" I smiled, "Thank you" she smiled as I bent down and kissed her quickly, "I've missed having you running about my house" I said as I sat down and handed her coffee, "And I've missed running around your house" she giggled, "Where's Vic?" She asked looking in the backpack I brought in for her, "He's in the house waiting on us, why?" I asked, her and Vic have been awfully close the past couple of days, I mean I'm glad they are getting along, that's what I wanted, but I feel like a third wheel when I'm with they two, "Well I have a question to ask you and just because we are dating now, you don't have to feel obliged to say yes" she started, I nodded for her to go on, "Well I'm 22 now and I don't want to live with my parents forever, do you think I could stay with you for a while, just until I get back on my feet?" She asked, I pretended to think about it but in actual fact I had already made my mind up, "I wouldn't have it any other way, but I have one condition" I said, smiling a little, she looked at me confused, "Instead of staying with me until you get your own place... Move in with me?" I asked, she looked at me shocked, "Really?" She asked, I smiled and nodded, "Of course, I mean it seems right, doesn't it?" I asked, she smiled and nodded, "Yeah, I guess it does" she said, I could see the excitement in her eyes, "Okay, lets get you dressed" I smiled, before getting up and closing the door, because of the collapsed lung and fractured ribs, I had to help her get dressed, "They one good thing about having broken ribs is that I don't have to wear an actual bra" she laughed as she quickly changed into the sports bra I got her, when she stood up I saw all the bruises on her stomach and back for the first time, they looked far worse than she made them out to be, "They're not as bad as they look" she smiled grabbing my face and moving it from her eyes to her face, I must have been staring, I smiled before pulling her shirt on and buttoning it, "Jeans next" I smiled before she sat back down and put the jeans on herself, I of course had to button them, I quickly stuck her beanie on for her and left her to do her own make up as I was no good at that, "I'll go sign you out" I smiled before walking to the front desk and grabbing some discharge papers, I quickly filled them out and went back to get Cassidy, she was ready to go by the time I got back. I helped her out to the car and buckled her in before getting in my own side and driving home.

When we got to, what was now our house, she jumped out as quickly as she could and ran in as soon as she got a glimpse of Vic's car, I followed closely behind and watched as she slowly walked up to Vic, who was standing in front of Tony on the couch with his back to us, and give him a fright, when he turned around his smile lit up the room as he engulfed her in a soft and gentle hug, "Alright man" I said to Tony as I walked to the kitchen, "Mikeeeeeeee" Cassidy shouted as she slowly took her time walking through to the kitchen, "Yes baby-girl?" I answered as I switched the kettle on, "Can I have some pancakes?" she asked flashing her puppy eyes at me, I rolled my eyes and sighed as I gave in, "I suppose so" I smiled holding my hands out, she walked into them and wrapped her arms around my back leaning her head on my chest, "Mikey" she whispered, I looked down and smiled, "What-ey?" I asked laughing a little, "I love you" she said softly before kissing my chest through my shirt, "I love you too" I said stroking her hair in a comforting way, "No, Mike" she said seriously pushing herself back off of me, "I love you, like I genuinely love you" she smiled, I nodded and smiled back at her, "I love you too" I said, well in all honesty, I never stopped but she wouldn't understand what I meant by that, she walked back over into my arms but tilting her head to look up at me this time, she was about to say something but I interrupted her by swooping down and clashing our lips together, she slowly leaned into the kiss w=before we started making out, my hands wandering in her hair and down her back, I felt her shudder and pull away as I rubbed her inner thigh, "What's wrong?" I asked concerned, "The umm pancakes will burn" she smiled before it faded and she walked out, "Cass?" I heard Vic say, I went to the kitchen door to see Cassidy running up the stairs, followed by Vic chasing after her, I don't know what it was that I did or said but I feel like Vic knows something I don't?
