Cold, Empty Mattresses And Falling Stars

*Cassidy's POV*

I had 5 minutes left of work and Mike's clothes in my car, I couldn't be anymore excited but nervous if I tried, "So.. What's with you and that guy then?" Delilah asked as she was walking in to take over my shift, "Uh I dunno, I'm going to his now" I said about to push past her, "Why?" She asked, I sighed and rolled my eyes but knew I couldn't tell her the truth, "He wants me to meet his friends" I said going to push past her again but she blocked my way once more, "Why does he want you to meet his friends?" She asked, I sighed and looked at my watch, I should be off shift right now, "Because we're.." I said but stopped as I knew I couldn't lie about something that serious, "Because you're what?" She laughed, my face suddenly dropped before a voice behind us spoke, "Because we're dating" they said, I turned and saw Mike smiling at me, when I turned back to Delilah I saw the smirk wipe clean off her face and in it's place was jealousy, "You two, dating?" She laughed, I shrugged and nodded, "Yeah" we both said together, she threw out a sound of disgust before letting me walk past her, "Oi, Cassidy" she said waving her hand in front of my face, I was suddenly brought back to reality, "Because you and Mike are...?" She asked looking at me for an answer, "Because Mike and I are friends and he thinks I should meet his friends" I said pushing past her and running into the back room to collect my phone and bag before going out to my car, I sat there for a couple of minutes just contemplating what I had just thought of, I was so confused, did I like him, did I not like him, what is happening to me!? I quickly picked up my phone and saw I had a text message from Mike asking if I could talk, I quickly dialed his number and called, praying that he would pick up, eventually he did, "Cassidy?" He said in a hopeful voice, I took a deep breath before I started talking, "Hi, I have our clothes here, can I drop them off and speak to you?" I asked, "Uh sure, but the guys are here, is that okay?" He asked, I thought for a second as I was anxious to meet them but I knew it was going to happen at one point or another, "Yeah sure, I'll be over in ten" I said, I heard him quietly cheer before answering, "Okay see you then, bye" he said cheerily before hanging up, I took another deep breath and started to drive towards Mike's, when I arrived there was his car and two other unfamiliar cars parked outside, I parked behind one and jumped out, stuffing his clothes in my bag and preparing to walk in.

I knocked first but there wasn't an answer, so I decided to just walk in as that is what he told me to do anyway, it was silent until I heard whispered bickering in the kitchen, "Don't you dare call her that" Mike said aggressively, "Mike, you don't even know the girl, she's probably a freak" said a guy with a mellow tone to his voice, "Vic, don't do say that" another said, "Well he doesn't, I don't care what Mom said, she's probably like the others!?" Vic said more aggressively than Mike, suddenly I heard Mike lose it, "She isn't okay! After Frenchi I lost it, I'll admit that but this girl could be my one chance to actually be happy again, are you going to take that away from me!? She's all I have Vic, you four and her, please don't fucking ruin this for me because I will never forgive you" Mike said in a louder than quiet tone, "Look Mike's right just give her a chance, you don't even know who she is or what she looks like?" A fourth said, I heard someone sigh, which I'm guessing was Vic, "Fine, but if I hate her, I'm not going to try my best to pretend as if I don't" he said and with that a small, light brown colored guy with long-ish brown hair and a nose ring appeared in front of me, I felt the tears build in my eyes as he slowly looked at me up and down and proceeded to shout on Mike, when Mike appeared next to him he saw how upset I was, "Cass this is Vic, Vic, this is Cassidy" he said awkwardly, next appeared a small-ish guy with spiky hair and a huge smile which revealed his dimples, he came running up to me, "Hi I'm Jaime and this is Tony" he said pointing to another taller than him and Vic guy with long-ish brown hair, ear stretchers like mine and a shy look on his face, he stretched his hand out and I shook both Jaime's and Tony's, I saw Mike and Vic say a couple words to each other before Vic stormed off out, "Nice to meet you" I said softly, he just kind of snorted before he slammed the door behind him, making me jump and allowing a tear to escape, "Guys can you give us a moment?" Mike asked, they both nodded before smiling and saying goodbye to me and going out the backdoor to the garden, "I'm sorry about him" he smiled, I gave a weak smile back before wiping my eyes, "It's okay, I know when I'm not wanted" I laughed slightly before pulling out his clothes and handing them to him, "Bye Mike" I said before turning, "Cass, wait" he said but I walked to the door, just as I was about to open it I felt a small tug on my hand before Mike spun me around and kissed me passionately, "Stay" he said in between kissing, I sighed into the kisses as we stood there making out for a couple of more minutes when we pulled away, I sighed and nodded smiling a little, I saw a huge smile appear on his face before he grabbed my hand softly and pulled me through to the kitchen to get Jaime and Tony from the back garden.
