Divine Zero

"Mommy..where are we going?" i asked
Looking up at my mother, her eyes were hungry and her hair was a mess.
She kept scratching at the same spot on her arm over and over again, ignoring my question. "Are you okay?" i asked, she looked down at me wide eyed "Yes of course i am honey" she said, in a jittery manner. It was dark outside and pretty cold and i had no idea where we were or where we were going.

She suddenly stopped, I looked up at her and i saw a single tear roll down her now red cheeks
"Mommy what's wrong?" I asked I've never actually seen her cry so i had no idea what to do.
She ignored me "you know i love you right?" i nodded, She wiped her face and smiled "remember that." she grabbed my hand and we continued to walk, we stopped in front of a man leaning on his car,

"This the one? he asked looking me up and down and occasionally licking his lips. I looked at my mother who was attempting to hold back her tears, She nodded.
The man touched my face and smelled my hair
My heart was beating faster than a cheetah could run in it's Life time.
He handed her a baggy, with a white powdery substance filled to the top.
She opened the bag and smelled It savagely, "Close your eyes baby and count to Ten" she said, I obeyed and closed them amd began to count
1...2...3....4...5...6...7...8..9....10, I opened my eyes and she was gone,
But the man was still in front of me, I tried to run but he grabbed my arm and threw me in his back seat of his car, I tried to fight back but my nine year old strength wouldn't allow me to win. And that night i found out four things...One my mother was a no good crack head...Two...i was never going to see her again...Three...i found out what sex was in the back seat of an old Toyota and finally Four there is no Jesus and we have no salvation.

So yeah i like this chapter a lot actually but trust me the next chapter will be pretty interesting. :)
