Love Amongst Destruction

“Hey, Michael!” Someone screamed at me.

“What?” I groaned loudly.

Before I knew it, Kuza swung my bunk curtain wide open and poured a full glass of water on me.

“What the hell?” I growled at him.

“It’s your turn to drive, DJ and I have already done it for the past 2 days.” Kuza told me.

“Oh that’s right. Sorry about that, there are other ways of getting me up though.” I said, glaring at him a bit as I got out of my bunk and walked in front of him out to the front door and then outside.

We were parked in some random very touristy looking rest stop and I had to chuckle a bit as once again we stood out from everyone else around us. Especially here down south.

We had driven through a few states and looked a bit in at least 4 of them, but finally we made it to another one of our states in question, Georgia.

Phil and DJ were walking out of the bathroom, and the only thing I could notice was the stupid happy smirk DJ had on his face.

“You two have a good time in there?” I chuckled, giving them shit.

“No, but someone we know did.” DJ responded, throwing me something black and lacy.

I quickly looked over it, and within seconds I knew exactly whose it was and what it was.

“Where in the hell did you find this?” I gasped, still in shock that we’d found something so soon.

“It was draped behind one of the stall doors.” Aaron explained.

“Phil and Kuza have already been walking around, searching for them, their vehicle, or any sign of them, they found nothing, but the security guard said they came in last night around midnight.” DJ explained.

“Are you kidding me? 5 Hours??? We were behind her by 5 hours?” I growled.

“The guard said he’d be willing to talk to you. If you want to do that, we can go and have someone call Chris then and the others so that they know to come down this way and get out of the midwest.” Aaron suggested.

“Ok, let’s do that. I want to leave in an hour sharp though from now.” I said.

“Yeah, well you’re driving so I guess you’d have to get that ball rolling.” DJ said, giving me shit.

“Shut up, and get to work.” I snapped at him, but in our usual banter.

“Nope! Everyone get in the car, we’ve hit the jackpot.” Kuza exclaimed, walking back towards us with a photograph in his hand.

“Thanks.” DJ said, taking the photo and coming over to show it to me.

A huge smile popped onto my face very quickly.

“ISW-592” I whispered, running my thumb across the liscense plate of the car with Chance getting into the driver’s seat on the car.

“We’ve got them pegged to a car and a license plate, we’re only wasting time by standing here.” Kuza told us.

“Ok, Kuza’s you’re sitting shotgun, DJ start calling everyone, see if anyone else not on Warped is willing to start searching the plate and see what we can dig up.” I commanded.

Everyone got rounded up and back into the van, and I gunned it out of the parking lot, I followed the road back onto the highway and my heart was once again racing with excitement.

The chase was back on.

I'm sorry guys, I feel like I've let everyone of you down.

I barely update, and when I do I feel it sucks.

This year seems to be slowly killing me. '

I even spent all day crying to my guidance counsler and all she talked to me about was how my grades are slowly slipping.

Sorry for ranting a bit, I hope you guys just kind of are able to ignore my ranting.

Anyways, the next chapter will hopefully actually worthy of something.
