"Reira..wake up.." A soft voice muttered as I felt something shake my body a little. I flinched awake and sat up quickly to see Lilith peering at me with a calm expression. I sighed in relief to know it was just her and not envy or anyone else. Who am I kidding? If it were envy I'm pretty sure it'd be a gun against my noggin by now. I let out a quiet breath. I made it so obvious that my paranoia was still bubbling inside of me from last night.

"Hey Lilith." I yawned and cracked a smile towards my trustworthy friend as she returned the favor.

"I bought breakfast! I wanted to see if you wanted any. ." Lili said softly as stood up. I nodded as I heard my stomach growl.

"Yeah, I'd love some. I'm just gonna get dressed real quick." I stated and pushed the covers off of my legs and stood up, stretching.

"Alrighty." Lili beamed with a smile as she trotted out of the room.

I stripped out of my baggy black sweats and white short sleeved crop tee and waltzed to my dresser, changing into a new pair of boy shorts and a bra. I then walked to my closet and snatched a pair of black ripped cut-out skinny jeans and a grey batwing long sleeved ripped loose sweater. I quickly changed into those clothes and put on my black leather boots. I trudged to the bathroom and began to freshen up; washing my face and brushing my teeth quickly.

After the long process of getting ready for the day, I tied my hair into a ponytail and walked out to the kitchen where Lilith was. She sat the small wooden table, sipping her Starbucks coffee and going through her phone. I sat across from her.

Lilith passed a cup of great smelling coffee towards me along with a muffin and two pieces of turkey bacon to me and I smiled, taking a bite of bacon.

"This is great Lilith. But, you didn't have to get this though. ." I sighed as I brought the cup of coffee to my lips and let the sweet warm liquid fill my mouth.

Lili shook her head and swallowed the chunk of muffin she had been chewing on, "no, no. It was the least I could do. I just thought you'd need refreshing company after I heard how late you got in last night." She exclaimed, trailing off on her words a bit as she gave me a concerned look. I chewed on my food slowly and swallowed. Lilith was right next door to me, whenever I got in or went out she'd know.

"Yeah.." I muttered as I glanced at her and looked back down at my painted fingernails.

"Where they chasing you again rei..?" My friend asked softly, her tone layered with a thick of coat worry. I hated making her worry - I hated making anyone worried or scared. Even though she knew I was immortal. She also knew that I wasn't bulletproof. I'm still human and I could still feel great levels of pain. I nod slowly in response to her question. She sighed and I looked at her.

"I just wish you'd let me help you with this stuff Reira.." Lili breathed as she ran her fingers through her hair.

I fidgeted in my seat a little, "I know Lili. But, the hunt is just so dangerous. I don't want you getting caught up in the fights, the chases, the intensity of it all. You don't deserve it. And I care about you and your safety. It'd ruin me to see you hurt by anyone from that fucked up organization." I explained and reached over, placing my hand on top of hers.

"I get that but, Reira this city hasn't had any immortals in so long and there are others other then the hunt that would go to extremes to get a time fruit.." Lilith replies as she looks back at me.

I sighed, "others would be less harsh. The hunt wants to experiment. take. produce. probe. torture. Where as a regular person would simply wait out the tree's falling of the leaves and hope for a time fruit to fall right into there mouths."

Lilith nodded slowly and sat back in her seat, "right. You're right. I'm sorry."

I shook my head, "don't apologize. I should be the one to say that."

After my friend and I finished breakfast we decided to head out to head out and walk around. Turns out I woke up a little late so, it really wasn't that early in the day. I had packed a bag with my wallet, phone, and some clothes just in case. I didn't know what today would bring me. I didn't know if I'd be running from the enemy again. I didn't know if I'd be going back to my apartment.

"Hey let's stop by Melodies Music Store. I wanna see my friend!" Lilith expressed as we waltzed down the sidewalk. I grinned at the thought of the music store. I loved being there. Being in a place like that gave off such great vibes. I also adored it because the owner of the store Casey would let me play a little guitar.

"Alright let's go." I smiled as we trotted off to Melodies.

"Reira! Lilith!" Casey exclaimed as he smiled big, setting down his soda on the check out counter and jogged up to us.

"Hey!" Lili and I replied in unison with charming smiles as we hugged our good buddy.

"What brings you by today..?" Casey asked as he rearranged his snap back a little and looked at the two of us.

"Came to see tony! Is he working today..?" Lili answered Casey with as smile as she looked around the huge area. Lilith has told me about tony, but we never met. Therefore, I was feeling very nervous. I mean Lilith really was the only friend I had here. Along with Casey too but, I dunno. .

Casey nodded,"Oh! Yeah. He's here. Yo tony! Lilith's here!" He called loudly as we followed him up to counter.

consequently, I tall, tattooed young man waltzed out from the storage room in a black t-shirt that read "Key Street" on the front in fancy white letters and pair of black skinny jeans and vans. His ears were stretched and he had a dermal piercing below his right eye. I found myself eyeing him from head to toe, studying every single feature on him. Tony was very. . Attractive. I blushed.

"Hey tony!" Lilith smiled as she and him exchanged a friendly hug. Tony flashes a smile that took my breath away.

"Hey Lilith." Tony greeted as his big brown eyes flickered over to me. My cheeks grew warm.

"Hi it's good to see you. This is my friend Reira. We decided to drop by." Lilith beamed as she nudged me over to tony who locked his gaze with mine and smiled. I noticed his cheeks were a light shade of pink.

"Hi, I'm tony. Lilith has told me a lot about you." Tony said to me as we shook hands. My heart rate increased.

"I-I'm Reira Collens. Lili has told me a lot about you too." I smiled as I let out a chuckle. Tony did as well.

"Cool." He simply said.

Hours went by and Lilith eventually had to go to work and I practically spent half the day hanging with tony since Casey had important business to take care of outside of shop. It turns out tony and I have a lot in common with one another. We both love Star Wars, we both play guitar, we both have a huge thing for animals. We basically just clicked and it was..nice. Really nice.

"Hey. you wanna. . Do you wanna chill again sometime tomorrow? I'm off work and I've got some skateboards back at home we could use.." Tony exclaimed a bit shyly as he rubbed the back of his tattooed neck. I looked at him and smiled slightly.

"Y-Yeah, sure." I nodded. Tony grinned and I blush.

"I'm lookin' forward to it then." He replied.
