Stephens POV
I was driving down a road when i noticed something on the side curled up in a ball rocking back and forth.I quickly pulled over to help whoever it was, as i was walking up to the person i noticed that she was crying hysterically and i couldn't get my mind of the fact that i think i new this person. I stepped forward and put a hand on her shoulder lightly pulling her up off the ground. I was really surprised to find out that it was Jaxx, i kept asking if she was hurt but all that she would say is im gone. I Pulled her up to my chest and texted ben to get down to the park because one of his friends needed him. Jaxx wouldn't stop shaking so i pet her hair and rubbed her shoulder trying to get her to calm down. She finally stopped breathing so heavily allowing me to ask her question and get a faint reply. "Jaxx what happened?" i asked quietly " I ran away from home because my mom is abusive" she said like it was a casual topic that didn't matter. I didn't know what to say to that so i got my phone out again and texted ben asking where he was. "Okay, ben is waiting at the park" she didn't reply she just nodded understandingly. Even thought the park was only a block away i grabbed her duffle and threw it in the back of my car. Running to the passenger door to open it for her. I had to buckle her in because she was to shaky to buckle herself. I hopped in the car and drove down to the park ben was sitting on his skate board when we pulled up. He smiled but it soon deteriorated after seeing Jaxx's state. I got out of the car and walked to the other side but ben was already there. He scooped her up and carried her bridal style to a bench already making her laugh because he tripped over a tree root and let out a string of vulgarity. He set her down lightly on the bench and took a seat next to her. I did the same while monitoring her expression, which was sort of a half smile half frown. Ben was the first to speak " So what happened?" " Well i guess i sort of deserved it i was being a bitch because she kept calling me names and telling me to kill myself. but long story short she pushed me and i flew across the room and hit my head on the counter, then as i was walking out of the door she threw a glass bowl at my head but missed" she stated with a no emotion in her eyes. Me and ben stayed quiet for a second then i decided to say that its never your fault and that a parent never should hit their child anywhere besides the ass. She looked like she was taking in my statement "I guess so , i think i know deep down that it shouldn't be that way but i'm used to it. I just got really fed up with being pushed around and being called names." she said with a little more life in her eyes. " I just texted Orion and he said you could stay at his house while his mom is on her vacation and after that you can stay with us he is making up the guest room right now" ben said. I knew it was a good idea to get him her he would know what to do. " Do you need anything else from your house" i interjected. " um, yeah. I need everything before she goes through it and takes what she wants. What time is it ?" " its eleven " ben said looking up from his phone "Fuck! i have been laying on the ground for like three hours" Jaxx said in a surprised tone " Damn Jaxx we better get going " ben said.
I got in the car and turned it on Ben and Jaxx not that far behind. Once we were all in the car Jaxx turned to me and asked if we where sure we wanted to do this because her mom might put up a fight. I unison me and ben replied with of course. I wasn't even worried about it and i could tell ben wasn't either we pulled up to the house and Jaxx's stuff was on the curb with a sign that said Free next to it. I could see the anger on Jaxx's face she hopped out of the car and immediately started searching through it. She stopped and turned to me "everything's here except for the things of value" she looked up at the house to hint that everything else was in there. I told her that she could start putting her stuff into the car and we started walking up to the house. We finally made it to the door... *Knock, Knock*
